  1. Might I also add that this same issue is happening on Google Chrome and Safari (on iPhone and iPad)... I keep getting sent to the homepage trying to login eventhougn the login credentials are correct. I have to clear my browser cache and Internet history every single time I wish to log in...
  2. The system you are referring to is the Rafiki TwinFlex system. I used to use this system in my home but I upgraded. I also wanted to have a mains device to shut down during an alarm event. The device you need is a Twinflex Output unit... http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=38_81&products_id=1665 You will then need a mains relay to link in with the relay on this output unit. This mains relay will connect to your sound system in some way... So basically, the input unit connects to a zone, the relay on the output module links to a mains relay and then that is then connected to your sound system.. Sorry I cant provide in-depth help. Somebody else will appear shortly! Let us know how you get on.
  3. It depends what type of system you are planning to put it on... Addressable or conventional? The only sensor with integrated sounder and strobe is the Gent S-Quad. I use them in my house only mine have the voice sounder with strobe. That sensor only works with with the Gent vigilon or Nano. There's also the Rafiki ASD sensor that had the option of a strobe but it needs a special panel also... If it is for a conventional system you will need to buy a multi sensor and a sounder beacon base. This will need a zone pair and a sounder circuit pair of cables going back to the panel.
  4. Thanks. I'm going to have a go... I will let you know if it works! If not I will look into buying the pc com!
  5. I can confirm that the "SecWare 16ohm internal speaker" of
  6. I've just tried it and I can confirm it works, I used to use a pipe cleaner coiled in the gap. Works fine..
  7. There usually isnt many faults with ADE... Could there have been any impacts or interruptions to the cable? How have you wired the keypads? You say you have two extra keypads (LED/LCD) and then the simpleset? Are they wired in parallel or are they all individually connected to the end station (control box) Do the other keypads work correctly? Try this, slowly try generate a tamper condition frm the simpleset- the software chip might have crashed on the simpleset and you need to kick start it! If you remove the screw at the bottom of the simpleset and release the tamper switch. Am I right in saying toremove and re-apply power? Also check to see if any cables have "disconnected" from the terminal strip on ALL keypads and the end station. *******DO NOT USE THIS INFORMATION OVER A TRAINED ENGINEER- This is for guidance only******
  8. Hi Does the Texecom Premier 24 include a remote keypad or is that an extra bit I need to buy?
  9. Hello. I can understand your confusion. The menvier M12 detector is a fire sensor that is meant to be linked onto an intruder alarm system. The zone that you wire the M12 onto will need to be configured as a "fire zone" so it is monitored 24 hours a day so that a fire alarm can be initiated at any time even if the system is not set. The 12v supply links to the auxiliary supply on the intruder alarm end station (control box) and then the relay NO and COM go to the zone depending on the wiring requirements. These detectors do not have integral sounders as this detector will activate your intruder alarm as a "fire condition" and then your intruder alarm will produce a distinct fire signal through the speakers. The external sirens will usually be activated but as a pulsing signal (2 seconds on 2 seconds off) If you require smoke detectors with integral sounders please look at domestic inter linkable smoke alarms such as the ones made by EI electronics or BRK Dicon. Unfortunately these are not available at SecurityWarehouse but can be purchased from all good DIY stores...
  10. Hello I have managed to obtain a copy of Wintex(v5) and the Veritas UDL. I've read that Wintex can also allow the programming of the veritas excel. Is this true? I can't find the option under "account" that allows you to choose a veritas; the list just has the premier systems... With the Veritas UDL am I required to buy a texecom PC-COM? Can't I just make my own RS232 using the tx rx and 0v (pinout 2 3 5 on the rs232) Can you please tell me whether or not I can build my own cable?
  11. Okay I assume you have a reel or two of 6 core wire for powered detectors and maybe 4 core for door contacts/PA buttons Choose 2 colours and use them for tampers in each single 4 or 6 core cable. This is your tamper network. It shows a diagram in the manual doesn't it? I will have a look.
  12. Yeah I agree, Mine didnt come with one either. The SECWARE 16 Ohm speaker is EXTREMELY LOUD. And when I say loud, I really really mean it! I didnt think it would be that good for
