  1. Would this be a wired or wireless system?
  2. yes if you kepe the unit powered it will not self activate. The prefered way is to disable it a the sab.
  3. Yes you can use star keypad wiring on this panel
  4. Yes redcare have a grade 4 service called redcare classic and redcare GSM. But there are alternatives Webwayone, emizon, dualcom GPRS etc. YEs we sell them but are you in the US?
  5. The visonic isnt 2 way. The only thing that is 2 way on that unit is the keyfob so it can show set status and that is only on the newer unit ie not on the powermax plus. Th eonly systems that are 2 way are the galaxy G2, HKC, Texecom Richochet and the new pyronix enforcer.
  6. You are talking about different thing. GSM jammers are a threat but a gsm dialler is a low security device. Jamming of the wireless circuits is possible but not with a GSM jammer you would need more specialist kit. But a decent control panel would detect the jam and would go into alarm (if programmed) Have a look at 2 way wireless as this has the lower polling times. Also currently only 50131 grade 2 wireless equipment exists.
  7. A dialler is a low security device. If the risk is medium to high you would not want to use a dialler and would use a high security communicator. Anything that meets EN 50131 Grade 4, must transmit its status quickly. Also if the device is disabled this would also show up within 3 mins.
  8. Foil has the same problem as a vibration sensor. If the risk is that high and the property is attracting that grade of intruder, basic alarm systems are not up to it. Most breakins are brute force where the intruder has no skills in this area or access to the equipment required to do it. Vibration sensors need carefull placement and setup. But you also need a contact to prevent the window being opened without vibration and as such not detected. If this is a concern (and im unsure of your angle at the moment) you need to be using grade 3 equipment. A grade 3 contact must under the standard detect or ignore a foreign magnet designed to defeat the contact. This could be backed by a vibration sensor on the window (if relevant), glassbreak detector etc. You would also need a grade 3 antimask dualtec protecting the room. This would all be considered as part of the design.

  10. you need to avoid the glass and the area where the glass is in the frame. If you catch the seal of the double glazed unit it will cause condensation between the panes. The only recognised way to fit to a window is with screws. You could use epoxy though. Dont use 'sticky' anything they will fail in time and if the magnet falls away it will cause a false alarm.
  11. Yes. The reason that is in the instructions is that sunlight will affect the pir element in the detector. In theory this shouldnt be a problem as the microwave element wont trigger die to sunlight. However it is recommended not to install any detector looking at windows etc. Place the sensor in the best position to minimise direct sunlight into the sensor. Also consider the microwave will penetrate the glass / roof etc. Dont fit it right up against the cieling/roof as animals on the roof may be detected by the microwave element. Also ensure the range is adjusted correctly.
  12. Depends on your needs and environment really. Can you let me know the planned environment as I may recommend something wholly unsuitable.
  13. They should be screwed do not use the foam pads as these are like mini shock absorbers
  14. id look at the honeywell galaxy g2 with wireless expander for the fob.
  15. can you take a photo of the bell connections as i cant follow the above
  16. you need to connect the battery link in the ag6 (external sounder) when everything is complete
  17. thanks for the follow up
  18. Are you plugging the card into the pc, what sort of card is it?
  19. Thanks for the followup

  21. The prestige is a better range but it depends on your application. If your looking at a dualtech id recommend the honeywell 7 series over most things in general environments.
  22. Bryan. We only supply pro equipment. None of the equipment is designed for DIY use. I understand that the DIY type equipment is poor by comparison. Id advise you get it installed by someone competent in pro gear. But equipment wise id look at the honeywell accenta, honeywell is215 detectors. The only issue here is that the accenta is only an 8 zone panel. id only advise 1 detector per zone. You have 9 detectors. If you need more than 8 zones then look at the galaxy 2 series panel but this is a big jump from an accenta.
  23. id be sure you have first. Pull all your circuit wiring and loop out. What circuit is going into alarm?

ANy good IP camera will allow remote viewing over the internet but i dont fully understand the 60m2 bit? As you mention 'single' cat 5 i assume you want to power it from the same cable too?
  25. Id agree, from the info above seems your entry zone isnt starting for whatever reason.
