  1. Any NC door contact would be suitable ie ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_44&products_id=667 but it may depend on your door. What are your protecting?
  2. You need to narrow down which tamper is the issue. ID loop out the global tamper, keypad tamer (if a gen4) and SAB tamper. If you can upload a photo of your board i can see which tampers are in use.
  3. Im afraid we dont support zoneminder. I do watch the project however. I have not tested the cards we have with zm as for my own use I only use IP cameras. James
  4. You need to connect the C and NC to the circuit on the panel.
  5. If you dont wire it this way or use a dedicated line. Anyone picking up the phone will prevent the system dialling out. Sales will update the other point
  6. Dependent upon steam build up etc id normally go for a weatherproof unit. ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/optex-lx402-p-86.html
  7. Overkill IMO unless you need the range of a redwall. Have a look at the voltek pir and switcher units.
  8. Adding or replacing user fobs is a manager function. Is the local led on the unit working, ie is the battery installed correctly. WHat process are you using to add the fob?
  9. If you click on the above picture you will see a set of terminals for 'line' and 'set' The line connection pair is the tel line connector. You can plug it in but this isnt the best connection method. If you connect the line connections to 2 and 5 respectivly in your master socket plate
  10. Are you looking at a particular unit? Most accept upto 4 telephone numbers but are generally regarded as a low security device (just like any voice / text dialler)
  11. There is no power in a contact. YOu should be able to see the reed itself. That is your alarm pair. And the tamper pair go to the leaf spring
  12. That is a basic logging function. Any of the higher end panels will do this. IF you dont currently have the software id look at the texecom premier range. Their software is called wintex and can be used to connect via a compatible modem. You can the download your events and print etc
  13. No the premier keypads are for the premier panels. The excel is a different panel
  14. The smaller panel can only handle 1 partition, but i wonder if your mixing up part set and partition. If you need more than 1 partition you need the more powerful panel. A partition in this case is to create a separate logical system that is full set etc independently. Normally only used on commercial systems Yes there is a reader in the panel It can do voice dialling but will require gsm and an active sim etc for texting
  15. That is an advanced function. There are many panels that can but non are low end. Can you expand on what you need from the pc connectivity?
  16. The cheapest way is to connect a camera to the scart input on your tv.
  17. Does it have 240v?
  18. Its possible but lets look at a few other things first. A sup fail means the weaker heartbeat signal is sometimes not getting through. When you test it does it work ok? Do you get sup fails at all times. ie day/night, range rover not there etc etc. Also what have you got the sup fail time programmed as?
  19. ok glad youve got it sorted
  20. id suggest you have blown a fuse. DO you have 12v at all power outputs. Check the keypad power first?
  21. No its a good deal. As with all offers there are many ways of getting what you need. 2 way switch? Yes but you need the correct software.
  22. It would be easier to use a pir with built in resistors. Which the is215 does not. However it is pretty easy. On the is215, connect one of the circuit wires to one side of the pir tamper switch. Connect a 1k resistor from the other tamper connection to the NC alarm. Connect another resistor (1k) across the alarm relay. Then connect the other circuit wire to the alarm relay connection with only 1 resistor connected.
