[Ticket Question] Powermax Plus Reset Codes?

[Ticket Question] Fire Detector Additions For Accenta Panel
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
I would not mount a battery outside. Yes you could do this it would 'work' but is not advised. If you require more standby time i would fit an additional PSU ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/elmdene-1381n-p-606.html connect all your powers to this and fit an additional 7A/h in this enclosure. -
Yes it does allow code entry. Assuming your FAAC controller has a n/o open input then yes.

[Ticket Question] Recommend Alarm System?
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
id recommend a honeywell accenta. This will allow upto 8 zones with upto 2 of these as fire sensors. If you need more circuits id have a look at the galaxy flex systems or G2 -

[Tickt Question] Internal Sounders For Videx Kit
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Access Control
If the audio is poor that could be many factors. How is it cabled? How long is the run etc if you have a dc based system then you can use this unit to boost call volume. But it depends on if you are using ac call buzz or not http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/videx-boxed-extension-sounder-for-video-kits-and-dc-kits-p-1215.html -
[Ticket Question] Part Set Using Honeywell Easy Set
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
You cant partset on a simple set. It allows full set and unset only. Depending on your panel you can configure the output on the simple set and connect it to a keyswitch input zone -

[Ticket Question] Anti Vandal Low Light Fixed Vf Dome Camera Help?
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in CCTV
need a model number to be sure (the 21/40 just shows the number of products in the search or catagory you were in) But im assuming its the secware pro unit and as such is an analogue unit. You can use cat 5 if you use baluns to convert the signal. It is not an IP / network camera -
[Ticket Question] External Sensor Connection?
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
Yes that sensor can be connected to any pro security panel -
[Ticket Question] Can Autodiallers Be Used As Standalone Alarm?
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
You could connect direct to the dialler with a pir etc but you would have no means to arm / disarm it unless you used a keyswitch. As you need a power supply to run the dialler, by the time you have purchased a psu, a keyswitch, relay etc you would have been better off buying an optima compact or an accenta http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/ade-honeywell-optima-compact-gen4-p-866.html -
You wont find a sensor that is battery powered with clean contacts. The relay would flatten the battery in no time. Usually on IP cameras the alarm input is configurable as N/O or N/C. I would suggest a 12v sensor such as the Voltek AUtoswitch but this will require a 12v Power supply. How are you powering the camera? http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/voltek-autoswitch-p-2453.html

[Ticket Question] Wireless Detector To Protect Garden Shed?
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
you can use this but in a shed i would recommend a dualtec. The only wireless dt i know of is the honeywell unit, but obviously this will only function on honeywell wireless panels. 2nd best is the unit you have mentioned -
I will try and make some suggestions... The blueline is an internal sensor only. What is the size of your dogs? It will be very difficult (expensive) to create a system where 5 areas can be armed disarmed speratly from a single fob. When you say 4 areas, do you want seperate reporting of these areas with a single all on/all off command or do you need to arm them seperatly? If you use a security control panel then it will accomodate battery backup. Pretty much all modern sounders have led's and strobes. No problem but I need to know more before recommending a panel. At the moment im thinking a bigger galaxy flex or dimension as this will allow the flexability it appears you need. Personally im not a fan of pet detectors as such. If you want reliable external detection with the minimum of false alarms i would not recommend a passive detector. I would recommend an active detector such as http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/takex-30m-ext-60m-int-twin-actve-beam-p-2042.html Not a problem as even the most basic panels have 8 zones now. not a problem but we need to pick a panel first then decide on arming options.

Honeywell Accenta/ Ade Gen 4 Part Set Problem
Secware_Tech6 replied to ohhnoo's topic in Intruder Alarms
Thanks for the follow up -
It is compatible but overkill IMO JUst use the standard secware door contact. However I dont think the panel work as you want in this application. Chime will stop when the circuit closes. You will need either a latching system with manual reset per door or a more powerful panel that can be programmed to work like this. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/secware-d20-surface-contact-p-667.html

[Ticket Question] Wired & Wirless Alarm Requirements
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
you want a hybrid control panel. Something like the honeywell galaxy g2 wireless kit. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-galaxy-220-wireless-starter-kit-p-1632.html this will accept up to 20 devices in total and upto 12 of the 20 may be wired. I would recommend a pet sensor for the tortise but a standard sensor would probably be ok due to the slow speed. Pet sensor http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-activ8-pir-single-channel-18m-quad-element-pet-pir-p-2057.html Im concerned about using pirs in the sheds. It is inside spec the temp range but id more concerned with spiders and draughts etc. Honeywell make a wireless Dualtec that would IMO be better suited to this. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-wireless-dualtec-15m-x-18m-p-2162.html While you 'could' mount vibration detectors to the bikes them selves i wouldnt recommend it. They need to be well fixed to the surface they are protecting, but you cant fix them permanently and remove the sensors from the system coverage as that will cause supervision faults. -
[Ticket Question] Fire Detectors For Scantronic 9651En-43
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
the panel will accept any clean switch smoke sensor. ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-12v-non-latching-detector-base-p-2277.html and http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-optical-smoke-detector-eco1003a-p-2448.html -
There are CO (Carbon Monoxide) detectors available. But i dont know of a similar unit for CO2

[Ticket Question] 2 Control Panels Signalling Through 1 Dialler
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
Yes. Ideally if you can cable from both panels to the dialler then you can trigger it and report which system has activated assuming your dialler has multiple alarm inputs. -
