  1. You can change the output type from internal bell to something else while testing.
  2. Which lens do you have on the detectors? What is the location and what is the animal?
  3. I can recommend them all as sounders but on that panel id advise a 16ohm speaker as it will do entry exit tones etc too.
  4. If the rest of the system is over 20 years old I wouldn't use any of it.
  5. 2. Impossible to answer I've seen 200m but also I've seen 35m only way to tell is to test. I use the hkc test kit but the hkc does have a higher tx output 3. It's not the tx that is supervised as such the rx makes that decision. Use caution with any one way device the best thing is to use 2 way gear like Honeywell, hkc or vanderbilt
  6. If it is faulty we will indeed replace it. Can I just ask the freq of your existing units?
  7. Is the reed failing a meter test? If the pir is flashing all the time, and the power is ok it needs to be returned
  8. I would look at the honeywell dt with mirror optics. The old iq is long obsolete.
  9. Do you mean active beams? And do you have a phone line available
  10. I suppose the easiest way is to say on my own system at home i use the takex. Tried cheaper ones but settled on the takex.
  11. I personally wouldnt use pyronix for that. I rate the takex pir or an optex in that application. But if its just for cctv then im assuming false alarms are not an issue?
  12. I dont know of anywhere risk free and public im afraid. Are you a registered installer with honeywell? That is technically possible if you have the fw file
  13. Yes that's possible but reg read needs to be no more than 6m wide at the capture point. Plus bear in mind you should use a dedicated anpr camera if reg is the primary purpose. Any camera can achieve this in good light etc but not in low light
  14. The best ip panel is the spc. That will give you the connectivity you require and can also email alarm events. Plus it's a hybrid system
  15. It is correct as opening the cover tests the tamper switch, battery and hold off. Some low end panels overide this on entering engineer mode but this prevents sab tests
  16. The sim will expire after the 2 year prepay that is included
  17. That's going to require solar etc, is it for counting vehicles?
  18. Yes power down the panel. Plug in the key, power up and upgrade from the keypad.
