  1. I need some sales support on the purchase of a Scantronic I-ON 40 and accessories. I don't seem to be able to find some of the accessories on your web site and I am unsure what is included with a basic I-ON40. My basic requirement is for the I-ON 40, smoke alarm 720r, Autodialler GJD HY005.

  2. Hi, I purchased a ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 with LCD Keypad on 01/05/2010, This has a problem where it says "Tamper Fault Lockout" on the keypad, I have tested all the tamper circuits and they are very low resistance. I suspect the main board or remote keypad is faulty although the fault only occured when I removed the panic button for decorating. I cannot get it to reset.

  3. I have a MCT-425 Smoke detector that warns about "Low-Battery" even though I have replaced the battery several times. I see this error on my control panel of my Visonic unit. The detector seems to be working OK, it gives med the regular 30 secons red flash. How do I remove this warning?

  4. Only zones 1,4,5 used .zone 1 is the exit/entry zone .All PIR detectors work on walk test and zone 1 works in chime mode. The alarm sets OK system bleeping until set . when the entry zone ( 1 ) operates it goes straight to alarm , after reset code entered the panel has zone 1 flashing only.

  5. Started by phoenix,

I have an old, very old alarm system! It uses a 4 wire CCL configuration which operated relays in a hard wired system. I would like to upgrade so that I can update/upgrade with a few more detectors. The Homelink 55 system appears to fit the bill as I reckon I could use it with my existing hard wire detectors and allow me to expand into new areas without doing more hardwiring ( add a few PIR's). As I get my neighbours to check out the house and feed the pets while I am on holiday I like to keep entry/exit operation of the alarm system simple. The question . . . can you utilise keyfobs into the Homelink 55 system giving the custodian a car remote type ac…

  7. Hi there, I have just moved to a new house with an old Sterling 10 alarm system with 2 PIRs, it works but the keypad is very worn and I have no idea how to program it. I was thinking of getting the Euro mini keypad to replace just the keypad, see attached image with wiring. Will this work?

Accenta G4 mini from you. Connected it up and fully tested including under alarm conditions. Last week I had an alarm activation which worked fine BUT the strobe will not reset. Thinking I had a faulty siren I bought a Honeywell ActiveGuard AG3 from you. I powered down the panel and connected the new siren. Repowered and the strobe was immediately flashing and still won't reset! Powered down the panel and connected the siren with a short length of new cable. Repowered the panel and the strobe was immediately flashing and still won't reset.

I have installed a Powermaster 33 along with a KP 250 Keypad. After months of no problems, the keypad display is now showing "No Communication" whenever any button is pressed. There is therefore no possibility of entering Installer Mode etc.. Is it likely that the communication failure is due to the keypad, the module inside the Powermaster control box or is it possible to reset the comms between the keypad and controller somehow? I would appreciate any help in resolving this matter. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I've had the above system fitted by ADT (it has the LCD radio keypad) and I was checking to see if your gray tags should work - that is, would ADT manage to disable tag use and programming on their equipment. They have already quoted a silly price for the radio tag (

  17. I purchased a Meniver SD2 from you a while ago and have just got round to fitting it but it isn't working and I'd like some help to get it work. I have wired the autodialer into an alarm system and all appears to be good until the unit goes to dial out. I have run test facility and the unit opens the line and then dials, it's says on the screen wiring to dial. I can hear a dial tone before the dialling but the call does not connect. Then before you can hear any connection to the dialled number the unit starts to send out the recorded message after a few seconds. The line test on the unit shows that the line is ok and the fact that a dial tone can be heard before it dials…

In september last year i asked you a question if a oml-dam can be used as pir only with the mw disabled. You confirmed this with yes. I ordered 6 detectors which stein use in a residentiall environment for a small year now. During this year most of the detectors triggered a false alarm, some of them more than one. This makes the detectors very unreliable. In the same environment, the optex fx50sq performed much and much better being a lower end detector. So, do you know more about the unreliable function of the oml-dam as pir only? Is the pir only functionality in real world worser than the oml-am detector? Please help because even with those expensive and professional d…

Pre-Order Enquiry - Decoy Bell Box Do you sell a Decoy Burglar Alarm Bell Box that includes a mains powered light (such as a faint blue flashing strip light) that is always active ... and mimics an actual bell box. If so, please could you let me know the part number etc. If not, I would be very grateful for any suggestions ... such as modifying a standard decoy box? btw. Does 'Sigma' still exist or taken over? I installed a sigma system years ago and have tried to buy similar kit. Many thanks for your help.

I’m looking for a PIR sensor that can detect movement both from the bottom and the top of a staircase. Our current sensor is positioned on the wall above the door at the bottom of the staircase, but it only detects movement when someone is about four steps from the bottom. This is creating a safety risk, as the lights aren’t activating until a person walking down is already quite close to the bottom. The staircase is approximately 9 metres long. I have images I can share — please let me know an email address where I can send them. I was looking at the following item and was wondering if it would work for my requirements, or if you could recommend a product that would be m…

  25. I am putting together an alarm system for a domestic house using the 75 as the base system but need to add a couple of extra features which don't come in the box ! I am planning on having two master blasters, one inside and one out, these will be the 12v relay versions, will they wire straight into the panel without additional hardware? I also need to turn on about four 240v external floodlights upon activation of the alarm ( say 2000 watts total load ) will any additional hardware be required for these? I am an absolute alarm virgin so if you can keep it as simple as possible I would be very grateful. Thanks for your help
