My internal sounder registered fine with the domonial control panel, and on viewing through engineering mode always registers a high signal (7/10) However, whenever I set (full or part) the alarm, typically every other time I get the 'INT SOUNDER RADIO LINK' error. I've configured the system to ignore these errors and set regardless without requiring confirmation - but my worry is there is a fault which might mean the sounder does not go off in case of intrusion. Last week I tried changing the batteries (on the off-chance the batteries supplied were low given the packaging was open), but this did not solve the problem. The positioning of the sounder is very cl…

I have an Accenta G3 alarm with two unused zones and would like to extend the alarm into my garage with is inbuilt. There is a single wall (thermal block) between the garage and the location of the alarm panel. I would like to fit a door sensor and a PIR and also fit a very loud sounder in the garage. I have some basic door contact switches and have been looking at one of the 4 way 'sound bomb' sounders. Would these be suitable? what PIR type would I need there are no appliances in the garage. Also is there a cage available for the sounder as I wouldn't want someone to be able to just whack it with a broom handle to silence it? Any help appreciated…

I was wondering whether you have a substitute for the FMX-DT-X8? This item is to replace an existing bottom entry Optrex PIR, and I am worried about the length of the wires that the requirements are (1) bottom cable entry (2) wire joiner preferably at bottom on unit (3) 7 wires, including the LED latch wire (4) medium sized room about 3.5 metres square. Would have a such a substitute PIR?

I recently purchased from you a Siemens SPC530.320 alarm panel and Invincibell Plus amongst other compnents My question relates to connecting wiring the Invincibell to the SPC530 panel. In the Invincibell wiring diagram it shows the Bell terminal of the alarm box connected to the bell terminal of teh alarm panel. However on a Siemens SPC530 there is no terminal marked bell so I would like to confirm where the bell terminal of the invincibell should connect to on the Siemens SPC530 SPC ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Com------- NO--------- BHO------ TR------ EX------ EX+------ I also plan…

I have a Gardtec CP8L system that I inherited when I moved into my home several years ago. I wasn't left a code so asked the company who had serviced the system a couple of months previously to reset the system. On visiting, I was told that the system was faulty and the technician was unable to repair it. He left it powered-up such that the PIRs and bell box LEDs still flashed, so still acting as a deterrent. The keypad LCD display is blank. I have not touched the system, not even turning-off the mains, in case the external bell activates and I have no way of deactivating it. Is it possible that the anti-tamper mechanisms are still working? If so, how would I deactivat…

Hi, I seem to have my Gen 4 almost working as desired with my existing BG (DSC) equipment, however for the life of me I cannot seem to get the strobe light working. The Bell will work but not the strobe. The existing bell box wires where listed as (+) Red, (-) Black (which I have hooked both of these up to the bell connectors), AUX = Blue and Strobe = Green. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for some alarm PIR sensors that will operate on a 24v DC supply for use on a double-decker bus that is being converted to a Men’s Shed workshop. The standard bus supply is 24v and the alarm contacts would need to be either N/O or N/C as the alarm control panel does not use EOL resistors. Please could you suggest some suitable devices.

Hi, I am looking for some help and advice with selecting an alarm system for the house I am currently renovating. It is a four bedroom house with an external garage which I would also like protecting. I would prefer a wired system as from my experiences at work, I am not fully convinced of the reliability of wireless technology! I am nearing the first-fix stage so now is the time to start planning the alarm system. I am an industrial electrician and plan to install it myself but I have no prior experience of alarm systems or installation. Here are my thoughts so far: 1.) A colleague recommended Bosch Blue Line BLD-P sensors, what do you guys think? Would one of these…

Hi all, I fitted the above about 6 months ago, the following is the setup: GD-48 3x MK8 Keypad's 1x External powered RIO Handful of PIR's Handful of G3 door mags Elmdene bell box Ethernet Module for Self Mon All has been working excellently up until today, the alarm put out a tamper so all 3 keypads were beeping constantly, upon me trying to input a user code or the manager code not 1 of the keypads would accept any key presses. While this is ongoing randomly on different keypads the static white LED would flash rapidly, also the beeping would stop altogether then start again. I eventually managed to get into the system using the manager code to…

On 6/4/16 I purchased an Accenta mini Gen4 and several other items from you to update an old alarm system I had in the house. Installed the above and all worked fine. Yesterday I went to replace an old PIR and stupidly I forgot to power down the system first. Afterwards neither of RKP's or any of the PIR's worked, however the bell did. There is power to the PCB as the red light is on. Is there anything I could check, or is it liable to be the end of the PCB? Yours hopefully

Hi, I self-installed a Euro Mini about a year ago. I have two keypads installed, one upstairs and one downstairs. It's been working fine since I installed it but now its giving me error 485 COMMNS LOST. Neither of the keypads respond. If I open the panel box or the keypad to fault find, the tamper alarm will sound and I have now way of overriding it! 1. Any ideas what would cause this problem (error 485)? Does the keypad or panel have a keypad fuse? If so would a blown fuse cause this error? 2. Without a working keypad, how do I override the tamper alarm? Thanks in advance.

I am planning to replace an old intruder alarm system with all new equipment. The only problem I can foresee is the space available for the control panel (fitted in a meter cupboard). The existing panel is a GARTEC (h175xw210xd70). An ACCENTA MINI GEN4 (h200xw253xd55) will fit in the space available but there will be little room (approx 20mm) above and below the panel. My question is: How does the front cover of the panel open and/or how is it removed? Does it hinge (top & bottom) and will I have enough room to open/remove it?

I bought Honeywell DT8012F5 and IS3012 sensors with Pet immunity but when my cat with (5Kgs) jumps to a table or to a sofa or when it walk on the table, it sets off the sensor. It already happened with both types of sensors in different rooms. Do you know why this is happening with Pet immunity sensors? How can I solve this?

Hi, I have a Eurosec CPX alarm system. I also have the engineer and user codes. I need to change the battery as it's probably eight years old. Please could someone give me a step by step guide as to how I disable the system so I can open the control unit without setting off the alarm. I am happy with the physical change of the battery. I have the 'User Instructions' but it does not cover battery replacement. I guess I would need a maintenance manual. I have also noticed that when I have a power cut the alarm goes off. Is this correct and if so how do I disable that function. It happened a couple of weeks ago when I was abroad on holiday, much to the i…

Can not connect to SPC connect with SPC 4320, ethernet works I've SPC 4320 with latest firmware 3.6.6. It is a completely new central and has never been connected SPC connect. From error messages it seems that spcconnect.com have problems, but Im not sure. Nice if someone can see if you enter the SPC connect today. If so, then the problem must be on My side. fine if you someone can look at the small details of the config and help with finding what I've done wrong. I have used the video below to double check my setup to connect SPC I can not run the registration of panel spcconnect, after I enter registeration ID and username password I get the message that "Can…
