Intruder Alarms

Does anyone have experience with the Vanderbilt SPC 4320 intruder alarm? I am wondering, if I can wire, mount and program the system by myself - or it requires a professional installer and/or software? Best regards Erik

I need to replace a couple of PIRs and am looking at some which have eol resistors built in. They will be in a circuit wired in series - just the 2 - and there is already an eol resistor wired into the circuit at the panel. Can these PIRs be switched so that they show zero resistance as I am not sure what adding extra resistance into the circuit would be handled by the very old panel.

Hi all I'm new to this forum, so please excuse my lack of technical knowledge. A couple of days ago I was moving stuff around under my staircase where I have an Alarm panel covered inside its metal casing. I'm certain I did not touch it, suddenly the house alarm went off and the Keypad panel was showing Bell fuse fault. I went ahead and replaced the bell fuse and it but it kept blowing. I had the alarm engineer who installed it come round and he disconnected all wiring to the PCB and still fuse kept blowing. hi i have just installed this panel to an exsisting system, it has 1 door entry contact and 2 pirs 1 on the route to the panel the other at the back of the house. i conected the door contact to zone 1 the pir on route to the panel on zone2 and the other to zone 3 i am using program 1 and set zone 2 as timed inhibit the problem im having is when i do a walk test zone 1 triggers zone 3 and visa versa zone 2 triggers on its own fine. so if i set the alarm as i trigger the door contact (zone 1)before i get to the panel the alarm activates so i enter the code to silence and zone 1 & 2 are solid and 3 is flashing the door contact is only 2 wir so i cant have wired it…

I am contacting you regarding this product because we have the same products in our house they work superb and I was hammering something in behing one of the sensors and it now just shows up on the alarm system as fault on landing so can you give us any suggestions as to what to do ? Thank you

The latest Dimension Installation Manual (just sent to me by Honeywell) does not mention this portal, but in relation to the RF Rio advises the installer to refer to the instructions that come with the modules. There are no instructions provided with the Portal on registering the devices. The Keypad asks for the serial numbers of the devices, but none of the devices actually identifies any of its numbers as serial numbers. Hi Guys, I recently bought a Visonic Powermax Express as a replacement panel for my PowerMax Pro - after 6 years it decided to give up the ghost. Anyway, GSM Network is pretty weak in my village - I'm getting it sorted BUT I can't seem to set my system with the fault? I could with my PowerMax Pro, it'll still set the system, but yet this one won't? Am I missing something? The system currently says NOT READY and looking in the trouble log, it says GSM Network Failure. No other faults. Any advise would be a great help? Regards, Michael

I purchased 2 M12 smoke detectors from you, which I wish to use with the Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 security system. The engineers manual shows 2 wires, to a smoke detector with a relay base for output to intruder system. On the M12 do I use the 0v +12v terminals or the fire zone?

I have a speech-box with my powermax pro. No problem. But I just want to hear the internal speech-box speaker. Not the control-panel speaker that I don't want to hear. How to have only the speech-box sound ?

Hi, I have just finished fitting a Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 with LCD control panel system to my house. I have got to the point of powering the system up and setting it up. The manual says "check that the factory fitted links are connected to the terminals PA, TAMP and T-A. I have fitted it to PA, the TAMP connections are being used for the other sensors on the system, and the T-A terminals are wired to the Bell Box. I then connect the mains power and the battery. I have just purchased a Secware Optima 2 x PIR Full Kit, ADE Honeywell 8SP419A-UK control panel kit from this site, what do I need to do to program it to use one PRI sensor as it's going in a garage, PRI is on zone 2, with say a 10 second entry and exit time.

Hi, I just bought the Honeywell Le Sucre system off you. I would now like to add an external siren for outside of my property, however I can't believe how expensive the SEF8M is at £130 compared to other one's which can be bought for around £30~. Is that literally the only one which will work with my alarm system or do Honeywell/3rd party companies do others?
