  5. Hi, I have just finished fitting a Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 with LCD control panel system to my house. I have got to the point of powering the system up and setting it up. The manual says "check that the factory fitted links are connected to the terminals PA, TAMP and T-A. I have fitted it to PA, the TAMP connections are being used for the other sensors on the system, and the T-A terminals are wired to the Bell Box. I then connect the mains power and the battery. The manual says there should be an audible indication, which there is. The 'power' light on the G4 main unit illuminates. The LCD keypad lights up and displays "Accenta G4 RKP F131-01-111". The 'power'…

  8. Hi, I just bought the Honeywell Le Sucre system off you. I would now like to add an external siren for outside of my property, however I can't believe how expensive the SEF8M is at £130 compared to other one's which can be bought for around £30~. Is that literally the only one which will work with my alarm system or do Honeywell/3rd party companies do others?

Hello I have managed to obtain a copy of Wintex(v5) and the Veritas UDL. I've read that Wintex can also allow the programming of the veritas excel. Is this true? I can't find the option under "account" that allows you to choose a veritas; the list just has the premier systems... With the Veritas UDL am I required to buy a texecom PC-COM? Can't I just make my own RS232 using the tx rx and 0v (pinout 2 3 5 on the rs232) Can you please tell me whether or not I can build my own cable?

I have a Menvier TS690id system and am after another keypad and ID chips. The panel will accept the ID plus chips. Do you stock a keypad that will work with this panel and do you still have id biscuits in stock. Also will your proximity tag readers be compatible with the netled/netlcd keypads already fitted as an upgrade and any new keypad you can supply for the system, if not fitted into the keypad.

Hello, The LEDs have stopped working on my Novagard 6 bell box, the siren is working fine though. The user guide talks about spare led holders but not sure if the bell came with spare LEDs in these holders. Can I buy spare LEDS? Tried google and did not find anything related yet. I am not sure if there would be spare in the bell box so thinking of buying them before I climb up the ladder and open the bell box. Any help advise would be high appreciated. Thanks

  23. I am looking to replace my current alarm system with a new modern system. One of my main requirements is to allow remote access to the system, and so I am looking at the Scantronic i-on 40. Although all of my sensors are wired the wireless capability will be handy if I have to upgrade in the future. I also require SMS messaging through GSM and PSTN so would be looking to also install these modules as well as one extra wireless keypad. My main concern at the moment is how the wired sensors and PIRs are connected to the i-on 40 system to ensure it will work with my current installation. Can you provide any information as to how the zones are wired on the system, or are …
