HI, Should the KP-250 keypad play sounds? I can hear beeps when i press buttons however there is no count down when the alarm is setting, there is no sound when a recorded message is played and there is no chime when the door opens... Am i missing something? i have turned the volume up - the beep gets louder. I have pressed 8 and the alert(bell) icon is lit and the chime is set to on and melody chime. Do i need another speaker installing or is my keypad faulty? Thanks in advance

What is the difference between the Texecom Veritas R8+ and the Veritas Excel??? According to the comparison chart there doesnt seem to be a difference in hardware? Is there a difference in software? If so what are these differences? Once again securitywarehouse* are the CHEAPEST by 68p with their competitors triton direct! Id use securitywarehouse though as you have good service!

Hi, Perhaps I could ask your advice as to what alarm system I should install. Firstly I should point out that I am a chartered instrumentation engineer so am used to dealing with complex wired and programmable systems - provided that the appropriate instructions are available to me. I have a three bed property which is in a rural location. The village that I live in has been subject to a recent spate of breakins and alarm systems are springing up all over. My priorities are 1) To discourage a burgalr to even attempting a breakin. 2) Should he attempt a breakin to alarm at the earliest possible opportunity preferably before he has actualy gained access. I …

Hi, I have a texecom PIR which has a normally closed relay, unfortunately I have a voice off device which plays MP3s when triggered. This requires a Normally Open input which closes to trigger the MP3. Is there an off the shelf device which would convert this PIR from Normally Closed to Normally Open input? Many Thanks

Hi, I have a problem with a missing cable. It is the cable between the panel and the GPS/GPRS module. It seems impossible to buy the cable in Sweden. So I have purchased components to make my own cable. But when I looked in the (Swedish) instruction manual it looks like the wires are connected cross-over. (see attached files) Can someone please confirm how the wires should be connected? straight (Example 1 in the attached file) or crossed (Example 2 in the attached file)??

I am almost there.. a few questions left. I am looking for a down to earth intruder alarm system for my house. My electrician will fit it. I think this ADE accenta will do. I am looking for a small external sounder. Is the Eurosec XS3D a good option? I would like to order the one with the orange bottom, so which items do I have to order? As I want to add a speech dialler in the future is it right that the only one ADE panel which supports this function is the ADE accenta metal Gen4? Or does the other models this as well? Which battery should go with this metal ADE accenta? My electrician wired 4 core wires to the PIRs. Is that OK for standard PIRs? If so wh…

Hi can anyone help me, I have installed this alarm system myself and i can set it fully, however I cant part set it. I have gone through the programs ,program 1 does everything, program 2 i have set up to just do downstairs. I have gone through the manual and done as it says, but when i set the alarm it says that once the code is typed in and the countdown begins press 'P' and the tone will stop then press the program you wish ie. 2. But for me the countdown doesnt stop, I press 'P' and 2 and it does nothing and it still says program '1' on the LCD keypad. Please help before I use a hammer on it as it is very frustrating!!!!! I have some problems with my WL siren (MCS-730). I have enrolled it as siren 1. When I check signal strength (diagnostics) there is strong connection between the CPU and S1. The tamper alarm works, the tamper alarm is shown on the CPU and it is in state not ready until the siren is back to normal again. My system is a PowerMax+ UK 1.47. However the (external) siren does not react (no sound or strobe) when there is an alarm in the system. How could I fix this problem?

hi i bought a dsc power832 alarm off of ebay about 3 years ago and have just got around to fitting it and realised that the installer code i was given is wrong. it's badged as british gas and apparently they had them made with there own defualt engineer codes. anyway i want to use as much of this old alarm as possible before i scrap it and so i was going to buy the ADE Accenta Mini Gen4 with LCD Keypad that you have for sale. my question is will the dsc pir's work with this ok? (i'm assuming yes) and also i see that it requires a 2.1ah 12v battery. my old alarm has a 12v 7.0ah battery so the voltage is the same. but by the looks of pictures they seem to be a diffe…

Is it necessary to solder in-line resistors to all the zone inputs i.e. E/E, PIR and door contacts? With my old Scantronic 9200 I just connected the contacts straight across the inputs on the PCB. The scematic shows a resistor on the e/e input. Thanks
