Good morning, I am after some advice if I may please. I have a Galaxy Flex100 panel and we want to link up TWO touch centres to it. I believe on a standard panel we can only use one touchcentre. Is there any expansion modules or similar we can use so that both Touch Centres can be used on the system? Any advice greatly appreciated. Many thanks Neil Fearnley

Hi all, I fitted the above about 6 months ago, the following is the setup: GD-48 3x MK8 Keypad's 1x External powered RIO Handful of PIR's Handful of G3 door mags Elmdene bell box Ethernet Module for Self Mon All has been working excellently up until today, the alarm put out a tamper so all 3 keypads were beeping constantly, upon me trying to input a user code or the manager code not 1 of the keypads would accept any key presses. While this is ongoing randomly on different keypads the static white LED would flash rapidly, also the beeping would stop altogether then start again. I eventually managed to get into the system using the manager code to…

hi brought honeywell informa a while ago along with accenta g4 package. the problem is i can get the infroma to ring out in engineers mode but when the alarm is activated (set off) to see if it rings out it doesn't. the only time it works is when there is no power to the alarm mains or battery. i have connected the dialer to it dedicated connection and also to the +/- and the bell - but either way it still doesn't work. any ideas.

The sounder on the control panel works correctly but the remote keypad emits no sound at all when being used to set the system. Is it a setting problem, a wiring problem or a defective remote keypad?

My Honeywell Optima Compact intruder alarm system, now 16 months old, is activating tamper alarms at random times, in both Day and Set modes. These reset straight away. I have linked out the panel terminals for both the sensor tamper loop and the remote LCD keypad tamper loop, which takes a wiring or tamper switch fault out of the equation. The tamper alarm still activates every couple of days (or nights .... it went off at three this morning!). Question; does this indicate a control panel hardware fault or a software fault? And if the panel is faulty, is it still under warranty?

I have a optima G3 panel which is faulty and am looking to replace. In order to simplify replacement would the circuit board from the G4 fit in place of the existing board? (fixings in both panels look to be the same)

I used the Honeywell Activ8 PIR in an installation in a house where they have a cat. I have set the tolerance to 15kg and pulse to medium (jumper link between 2 and 3) There have been a few false alarms in different rooms and none of the sensors face a window or stairs, there are chairs and sofas though. I have changed the sensors to the highest tolerance yesterday - 25kg and fitted the jumper link between 3 and 4. Which I wouldn't think is necessary for a cat. Is there anything i may have missed that caused that problem? I don't know yet whether the change I made is good yet as i've only done it yesterday. Is it maybe because it's a relatively cheap pet se…

Hi, I have installed my first wireless le sucre PIR on my flex system. Everything went ok with pairing until next morning I get keypad message rf batlow. Result: I am on my 3rd battery in 3 days!! So I have changed old PIR removed serial and paired new PIR with the panel and I can see the new serial No. in th RF intruder zone (signal strength is good menu 21). When I do a walk test I get no result from the RF zone. If I activate tamper the panel registers it. When I walk pass the sensor I get 2 long flashes then when I move after that I just get 2 short flashes. I thougth that wireless PIRs do not flash after warm up unless the alarm is set? The PIR does this wethe…

Having searched numerous forum posts I'm at a total loss, so I thought I'd try asking... I have a Honeywell Optima Alarm system (8EP396A panel with a 8EP417A LCD Keypad and a single PIR sensor) for my shed. When I entered this morning and entered the code the alarm sounded but every time I entered the correct code the alarm would briefly stop and then sound again. the only way I found to stop it is power it down and remove the battery. I only have about a second to see the fault, which is coming up as a PA fault. but the PA connection on the panel has a link cable closing the system (I assume this means it's not in use?) I've tried doing a reset of the syste…

Hi there, I am currently in the process of renovating a house and I am looking to install a fire detection system that not only meets building regulations for a three-story house but also offers higher protection than the minimum LD3 level. In the past, I have used a Honeywell Galaxy panel with fire zones, but that was a few years ago, and I am sure there have been advancements since then. I've been considering the C-Tec Hush Pro solution, but I'm concerned about nearing the 16-device limit. Running the cables around the house in a single run seems feasible, especially with the ceilings down and floors up, but I'm wondering if a larger 2-wire panel with a loop p…

I understand that conventional unmonitored alarm system has 3 major components - keypad (to arm/disarm etc),control panel (which monitors sensors and sets an alarm when armed), dialer (if you want to call outside). I understand 'proper' system will have keypad separated from control panel and the control panel should be in a metal box in less accessible and visible place. so it should take sometime for an intruder to find it and smash it. however the question - what do you do with dialers? there are not a lot of places where the land line socket can be placed in the property hence intruder simply need to go quickly around (dialing a number and playing message shou…

Generally a beeping texecom alarm is caused by 2 things. Chime is enabled and it is beeping when a circuit activates or it has a fault. Texecom Turn Chime Off Press the musical note button on the keypad. The chime will be disabled immediately. To set up chime zones: Enter your 4-digit user code. Press MENU, then press TICK to confirm. Scroll through the menu and select Edit Chime Zones. Press TICK. Browse the zone list and highlight the zone you want to enable. Press X to toggle. The zone status will change from Silent to Chime. Press MENU, then RESET to save and exit. Diagnose…

I am working on a project with one of our clients. We are installing Gallagher system for them - https://security.gallagher.com/. One of their requirements is to have wireless sensors on windows connected to the Gallagher system. I was told i could use this Wireless Receiver. But do you know which sensor i could use? For example we have Ajax sensors on hand. Do you have any experience with this type of setup? look forward hearing from you.

Hi, Need confirmation that the set-up I have listed will all work together, we are ex.UK but now live in Crete where we have built a house without, regretably it now turns out, a hard wired alarm capability. Crete, once relatively crime free, has now gone bad ways and recently our neighbours were robbed and they had 6 dogs loose in the garden! So I am looking to buy and install a wireless system sourced from the UK and need clarification it will all work and is foolproof for even me to fit ! Basic I-ON16 with two PIR's, two remotes, two master blasters. Owing to our secluded position we need to make life miserable enough for the intruder to leave sooner rather t…
