Hoping you can help, I need the reverse of the typical plug-in light sensor mains adaptor, i.e. to switch on the appliance when there is bright sunlight, and switch off when dark. If it has timer in it, then even better. So, I am after a device that works the opposite to these for a 240v appliance: Ideally, the light sensor is on a wire like this: Hope you can help, or possibly advise if an existing "dusk to dawn" version one can be made to work in reverse.

Looking to implement lighting control system with all (or mostly) wireless PIR. Have been looking at the Opal RFX range and also possible the Dygizone lighting controller - is there an RFX version of the Dygizone, or how who such a combination be combined?

Id like to have a sensor on my gate at the end of my drive but do not have power or a means of getting a cable from my house to the gate. Id like to detect movement near the gate and activate a buzzer / beeper in the house and activate my lights. Hi - I have installed a GJD external lighting setup on a home. It has 4 zones. In the house there are two 2 zone wiring boxes and a 4 way control panel. These extend out to the garage where there is an additional wiring box for zone 1 and 2 and a remote 4 way control panel. This was all installed 2 years ago and has been working fine since. It is a great system. It has however just started causing a problem where the lights are coming on and staying on all the time. if you reset the system it will work for anything from 30 mins to 6 hours or so and then all the lights will come on usually for all 4 zones and stay on. Hi all Id like to add a speaking sounder to a lighting system (GJD) and want to warn anyone entering the protected area witha custom message, ie ' Warning beware of the dog etc etc' or 'GET OF MY LAAANND' lol Ideally id like to have the option of changing it as the requirement change. Hi, I notice on the website that you sell spare Covers for the GJD Opal PIR detectors, and I'm trying to find out if the covers fit all Opal detectors or just recent ones ? I've three detectors that have been in use for around 12 to 15 years, which I'd like to get some spare covers for. I don't see any model numbers on the detectors or their original packaging, other than the words "GJD OPAL" on the PIR PCB.

Just been to look at a fault - PIR sensor controlling one bulkhead light, and, it seems, some kind of automatic door bell. PIR unit has the following info - There's no Brand label. 'Live carrier Unit'. Type PRI Q18T 6220 G3. Max load 1200W Basically, the bulkhead light won't switch off once the PIR unit switches it on, and the doorbell won't stop chiming! I'm not sure how the doorbell thing is controlled - All there is, is a white plug-in box (looks like a Mains adaptor) which you can plug in anywhere in the house, so I am guessing there's some wireless involved. There must be some kind of carrier signal being triggered into the mains when the PIR…

I recently purchased from you a Solitaire 4 zone controller with relevant PIR's etc. My customer then wanted a buzzer for each zone to sounder should anyone approach the property, I wired this in to complete the job. Now he has requested a similar install for a friend of his. Having looked at the property, they simply have a front & rear to protect. Currently there is a standalone 500w pir flood to front & rear and all the customer wants is an external audible warning when someone approachs to try to deter possible burglars. Can you suggest a simply system?

I have a security lighting system fitted with an 1803. The signal to turn on the lighting is taken from an infra red beam and sensor set up acrosss our drive so that when the beam is broken the light comes on. To prevent the light coming on in the daytime, there is a PIR wired up to only provide the 1803 with a photocell reading - i.e. it isn't used to detect motion. In additon there is a buzzer and control switch in the form of the 1809. The photocell element stopped working about a year ago, meaning the light would come on in the daytime. Now the 1803 has stopped working correctly as the light will not go out and the buzzer only works intermittantly. I am go…

I installed a 4 zone controller, DygiZone (GJD910) and expansion panel (GJD040) with 7 Mini Opal external PIRs (GJD 332). 1. During the installation and initial setting of the PIR’s I had to remove each cover several times. Some of the PIR’s retained their Hex retaining screw with a plastic washer but quite a few them fell out. Inevitably with such a small screw I managed to lose 2 of them. Is it possible to get hold of replacement screws and washers through security warehouse? If not do you have the specification? I could do with at least 6. 2. We have a large house protected by 3 PIR floodlights. To this 240v system we want to a number of alarms or sounders, that would be activated when the lights are triggered. As well as being 240v the devices we are looking for must have adjustable volume. Might you be able to help us, please

I recently purchased some Voltek security light equipment from you, and I am trying to connect it up, but I am stuggling with the Securilite TZX 1819 Command Centre. The wiring diagram shows to connect the 1812 unit to the 1819 unit as + to +, - to -, S1 to S1 etc. Although the 1812 unit is clearly labelled, there is no indication on the 7 screw terminals on the 1819 unit which terminal is +, which is - etc. Do you have any ideas?

Could you please advise on suitable outdoor sensors to control outdoor security lights (already installed). I require 3 corner mounted sensors with a minimum range of 12 mtrs and 1 standard mount with a range of 20m (if possible). All will be exposed to the weather and all should be in black. I live in the countryside and do get deer & foxes in the garden, are these likely to trigger the sensors? Regards, puzzled

I am looking at controlling 2 outdoor PIRs and lighting as 2 seperate zones. I notice that you have the emerald unit and the Voltek unit. I have the following questions: 1. will the units work with any manufacturer of PIR (12v) and lighting? 2. Do you stock the 'GJD base 2' which is required for the emerald unit? I notice you stock 4 zone expansion unit (GJD040). 3. Can you tell me what I would require for the Voltek 2 Zone systemas well as the TZX command centre? 4. do you have a general schematic for a 2 zone simple system? Thanks in advance.

GJD Opal RFX system - RFX-3 receiver (GJD018) and three Opal RFX wireless external PIR detectors (GJD017). only attempted installation last few days now that CCTV is installed on the site in question. All the GJD RFX kit powers up OK. The three detectors were each paired with a receiver channel successfully. After pairing, all three indicators (RF1/2/3) on the receiver pulse every 5 seconds. The detectors seem to be operating OK, and when placed in 'walk test' mode the local LED indicator on each detector flashes appropriately. My old security light control box (Racal Guardall RLC1) has packed up after many years of use. It appears this Company no longer exists so I contacted Security Warehouse for advice. They told me that if it is a single zone system (I have 6 lights and four PIRs outside) I will need a GJD005 Sapphire Mk3 control box. I duly bought one. However, when I eventually got an electrician to call he told me the wiring wasn't compatible as the old control box only had one output feed and the new one has more. As I know next to nothing about this issue, is there anyone who can give me advice and if so, in simple terms please?

It is installed in two separate circuits for the front and rear of the house.
