  1. i may need to put in a dialler later if the customer wants it. Which version will accept an internal card? The spec sheet implies that the compact will not but the other two versions will?
  2. Our premises has a security system supplied by you (quite a while ago now) and is fitted with a Honeywell AG6 external sounder. I need to disconnect the mains as well as the battery for an extended period and, after putting in the engineer code can remove various items, but when I remove the battery, the AG6 sounder keeps sounding. How do I switch this off?
  3. I suspect that this may be a battery in a fob that is causing the problem although to make sure you would need to check the log. Going into and out of engineer mode should reset the fault but if the fob battery is still low it will re-appear if you operate the fob again. If this is not the issue I would advise that you ring Pyronix Technical Support from site and they may be able to assist further.
  4. Enforcer wireless alarm about a year ago which i purchase for you. this has been work fine. until just recently it came up with a battery fault. I have changed all the batteries in the sensors, and done a battery check and signal strength test, and they have shown as ok. the alarm has been working for a week since this, and now has displayed an error again of, unable to set 01 wireless low battery. I have done the battery and signal test again, and has come back as ok.
  5. We are a new organisation in southern Spain, a couple of elderly ex-pats who have become sick of the growing number of burglaries in the area. It is working well as we purchase kits from the internet and we are installing them and then using local labour, responding via GSM and arriving on site within 4-6 minutes. It has proved very successful in its first 3 weeks. However,we have one problem which is causing us grief and we are unable to remedy it. We suffer from frequent power cuts here, sometimes the rapid ones on and off for several minutes, and that can be day or night. As you may imagine, this activates the message to our phones and then re-sets only to go off again a few seconds later. We had 24 activations in 8 minutes last night, and that is a real issue. The SIM card will need topping up every week unless we can find a solution, where the power cut switches to battery but does not send a repeated message if it is within a certain period, but the actual alarm awareness is not disrupted and will still operate. I realise there is a delay we can put onto the power /battery programme but we cannot really make that longer than 20 seconds and then because of the irregular power cuts, it still does not resolve the problem. the local police are amazed at the results we have had with just 4 installations. There has been 49 burglaries reported since Christmas and probably more on properties not lived in (Holiday homes), and we are very confident that we can have a major impact on this trend; depending upon getting this issue resolved.
  6. Manufacturer advise: First thing to test is the integrity of the sounder and strobe cabling and connections. Put the multi meter to dc voltage and at the panel measure between 12v and strb, the reading should be 0v. With the multi meter still on dc voltage at the panel measure between 12v and strb, do a strobe test (option 05 (2)) the reading should be 12v. If the strb output changes to 12 v the panel is fine. Put the multi meter to dc voltage and at the sounder measure between 12v and strb, the reading should be 0v. With caution and the multi meter still on dc voltage at the sounder measure between 12v and strb, do a strobe test (option 05 (2)) the reading should be 12v and the strobe should flash. If the strobe does not flash and you are confident all the cabling is correct it may be a faulty sounder. There are no batch problems with the control panels. If the customer has two faulty units I would like them back for testing.
  7. will Apollo heat detector/mcp/optical work with an c-tec cfp704-4 panel. have an existing system but panel is only 2 zone and we require 4 zone and extra detection.
  8. Honeywell have confirmed this as an issue with manufacturer, if manufactured prior to 45th week in 2013. The reader would need resetting between 1 and 3 times in 12 months. Honeywell do offer a two year guarantee, so we can replace with a current model. Please use our ticket Support system, advising order number and our Returns department will be able to help. https://www.security...pload/index.php

  10. I've got the issue with ADE Honeywell Easy Set bought from you about 2 years ago. It requires resetting(cutting the power off) at least twice a year. Is it a known issue with these? Basically the keyfobs stop functioning and reset always helps when it happen.
  11. Is the Honeywell 12v non latching detector base a NO or NC?
  12. I purchased an alarm system last year, and until today has worked without fault, however, when my Wife tried to set our alarm in the usual way using the ADE Simple Set she was unable to do so. When I came home I also tried without success. The unit shows both Power & Day lights but when either a 'learnt' or an 'unlearnt' fob is offered to the unit there is no response regardless of the length of time the fob is held against the unit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The unit is less than 12 months old
  13. I have a Ademco (Honeywell) 6127 keypad. Please advise if you have a suitable replacement.
  14. I'm interested in the texecom elite 24 alarm, can this alarm be set via a mobile phone or land line.
  15. I have a Scantronic I-ON 40 which is installed in a closet upstairs along with the wired keypad which has the LCD display and speaker (the one supplied with the control panel). I also have a i-rk01 wireless keypad downstairs for setting/unsetting the system upon entry/exit. Unfortunately, because the i-rk01 does not have a display or a speaker, it's pretty much useless as you can't hear or see what you're doing from downstairs. I am unable to relocate the wired keypad downstairs as I cannot run a cable, so is there an option to purchase a wireless keypad with a display or speaker? Or is there a separate wireless speaker that I can simply install in the closet downstairs alongside the wireless keypad to at least provide sound feedback? Or any other alternative you can suggest?!
  16. I just found out today that the Elmdene Bell box is exactly the same as the one's used by ADT. 18. The RFX detector is battery powered but the rest of the system needs power We tend to find people have the receiver near the expansion unit in these sort of scenarios and you will need a cable between the DygiZone and Expansion Unit
  19. I purchased a Ventcroft Compact Classic Sounder form you recently. Having fitted it though I cannot get the strobe to operate. Everything else operates as it should. I already retrned on but have the same issue with this one. Its connected to a Veritas Compact 8 panel. I have checked and do get 12volts across STB- and 12v+ hold off. Is there anything particular with this panel that I am unaware of.
  20. Looking to implement lighting control system with all (or mostly) wireless PIR. Have been looking at the Opal RFX range and also possible the Dygizone lighting controller - is there an RFX version of the Dygizone, or how who such a combination be combined?
  21. Can you tell me which firmware is loaded on this key please.
  22. I've purchased a replacement LCD keypad for my Accente G4 Mini as the old keypad has a faulty button. I installed the system myself a few years ago so have no issue with the physical wiring etc. I'm just wondering if I will need to re programme the whole system once I change the keypad or are the settings saved in the main panel? I'm just trying to work out if its a 10 minute job or if it will take longer as I will need to re programme the system.
  23. I am looking for a engineers and user manual for above panel, can anyone help?
  24. I'm fairly sure I can interface the Reson8 bell box to an old RS alarm Panel I installed many years ago. The panel has (in order) + Hold off, - Hold off, -SW, +SW, -ExB, -ST-, + IntBell, - IntBell, +Buzz, -Buzz, -Tamp(Zone1),+Tamp(Zone1) Basically I cannot see how to connect the Tamper supply- and Tamper return- in the Wiring diagram. I am sticking with the wiring colours. I know it's quite serviceable.
  25. I require a standalone wireless receiver plus 2 IR room sensor to connect to an ADC type panel (wire to existing sensors has been cut by flooring contractor)... The Nova 2 would appear to fit the bill?
