Intruder Alarms

currently have a Scantronic 9452 alarm system that is going off at random times when not activated. When activated the alarm goes off and the tamper light is flashing even though the alarm has not been tampered with. Also the service and fault light flash intermittently.

I have an old, but fully functional wired system. It is an Accenta G8 panel. I want to add a zone using a wireless PIR I have seen the Texecom compact W-series on your website. Does this come with a receiver that wires into the existing panel? Will it work with my existing panel??

Hi I am stuck with looking at the diagrams to wire up ressistors for the alarm. I have bought flush door magnets with out resistors. Could you send me a picture or diagram how to wire up Double pole EOL resisstors for the Texecom Premier 48 panel? i bought the honewell EMPS-75 w magnetic contacts.

Item Scantronic 9651UK with 9941 keypad. I installed this control unit to replace another 9651 unit which had developed a fault. After installation I tried to exit the 'Installer Mode' and the unit reported 'Zone Flt' on zones Z01 through Z08 and the Service LED is permanently illuminated. I have checked power to the Ziper intruder detectors and circuit continuity for the FSLs and they seem to be OK. I did notice that the 9651 unit had a manufacturer's date of Jan 05, so it seems to have been in storage for some considerable time but that aside I would appreciate some assistance in identifying where the problem lies and if it is a defective unit, getting it swapped out.…

What is the differences between the CQR FW/GD04 Communicator (GSM) and the visonic GSM-100? Are there any other gsm-modules that are compatible with the pm+? My pm+ controlpanel is bought in sweden, will I have any problems if I buy any of the gsm-modules you have from UK? Will the sms-messages still be in swedish?

Hi all, I have just purchased the MCM-140+ keypad for use with an standard Powermax Alarm. When the alarm is in Enroll Keyfob mode and I press the * for two seconds, the alarm does not recognise the keypad. I have just re-enrolled all other sensors and a keyfob without any problems. In my house I got a security system called Gardtec and i think it is Risco / Gardtec Contour LED RKP (580 series) because mine does look like this one as it is show on this website. i would like to use this security system however i cant reset the program or set it. I been looking on the internet i belive i need the engineer code or master code to reset the program but i dont have this codes. Could you please help me where or how can i get this codes to reset it or how much is it cost for engineer to come to do it for me !? Will it help if i purchase the control panel ( Risco / Gardtec Contour LED RKP (580 series) to set the program

Does anyone have experience with the Vanderbilt SPC 4320 intruder alarm? I am wondering, if I can wire, mount and program the system by myself - or it requires a professional installer and/or software? Best regards Erik

I need to replace a couple of PIRs and am looking at some which have eol resistors built in. They will be in a circuit wired in series - just the 2 - and there is already an eol resistor wired into the circuit at the panel. Can these PIRs be switched so that they show zero resistance as I am not sure what adding extra resistance into the circuit would be handled by the very old panel.

Hi all I'm new to this forum, so please excuse my lack of technical knowledge. A couple of days ago I was moving stuff around under my staircase where I have an Alarm panel covered inside its metal casing. I'm certain I did not touch it, suddenly the house alarm went off and the Keypad panel was showing Bell fuse fault. I went ahead and replaced the bell fuse and it but it kept blowing. hi i have just installed this panel to an exsisting system, it has 1 door entry contact and 2 pirs 1 on the route to the panel the other at the back of the house. i conected the door contact to zone 1 the pir on route to the panel on zone2 and the other to zone 3 i am using program 1 and set zone 2 as timed inhibit the problem im having is when i do a walk test zone 1 triggers zone 3 and visa versa zone 2 triggers on its own fine. so if i set the alarm as i trigger the door contact (zone 1)before i get to the panel the alarm activates so i enter the code to silence and zone 1 & 2 are solid and 3 is flashing the door contact is only 2 wir so i cant have wired it…

The latest Dimension Installation Manual (just sent to me by Honeywell) does not mention this portal, but in relation to the RF Rio advises the installer to refer to the instructions that come with the modules. There are no instructions provided with the Portal on registering the devices. The Keypad asks for the serial numbers of the devices, but none of the devices actually identifies any of its numbers as serial numbers. The unique numbers on the D0800M wireless door magnets are too long to be accepted by the keypad. Hi Guys, I recently bought a Visonic Powermax Express as a replacement panel for my PowerMax Pro - after 6 years it decided to give up the ghost. Anyway, GSM Network is pretty weak in my village - I'm getting it sorted BUT I can't seem to set my system with the fault? I could with my PowerMax Pro, it'll still set the system, but yet this one won't? Am I missing something? The system currently says NOT READY and looking in the trouble log, it says GSM Network Failure. No other faults. Any advise would be a great help? Regards, Michael

I purchased 2 M12 smoke detectors from you, which I wish to use with the Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 security system. The engineers manual shows 2 wires, to a smoke detector with a relay base for output to intruder system. On the M12 do I use the 0v +12v terminals or the fire zone?

Is it possible to change the English language of the Galaxy panels into the Dutch language? Maybe by flashing the prom? Thanks in advance for your help. Marc
