  1. Is Pyronix M12 (BlueLED) same connections as older M12?

Hi, Need confirmation that the set-up I have listed will all work together, we are ex.UK but now live in Crete where we have built a house without, regretably it now turns out, a hard wired alarm capability. Crete, once relatively crime free, has now gone bad ways and recently our neighbours were robbed and they had 6 dogs loose in the garden! So I am looking to buy and install a wireless system sourced from the UK and need clarification it will all work and is foolproof for even me to fit ! Basic I-ON16 with two PIR's, two remotes, two master blasters. Owing to our secluded position we need to make life miserable enough for the intruder to leave sooner rather t…

  6. I am interested to buy one of your \"Secware Basic Full Kit Accenta, 2x PIR, 2x Contact, 1xSAB\" honeywell kits and want to add at least one fire/smoke detector to it. Two questions, a) can this be done and what detector(s) should I use. The use is in an office so probably should look at heat and smoke but toast protection not needed of course! Could do with advice on what kind of detector as there seem to be a few different technologies (ionisation etc) and I\'ve no idea which to use. Would appreciate a rapid response as I want to order today on a next day. Cheers

  7. i'd like to fit an alarm system into my double garage but am not sure which is the right kit to fit. I've installed a Texecom into my house which i'm very happy with so ideally would like to use their kit again if possible. I'd like to keep the house and garage system completely seperate. By my reckoning i need 1 x control pannel with keypad for in the garage 1 x remote keypad for in the house (incase of false alarm activation) 2 x suitable garage PIRs 1 x remote control (for controlling from the car as the doors are remote controlled also) 1 x red LED flashing external light to show alarm is set 1 x external strobe to show alarm has been activated 1 x internal…

I am looking for a home alarm system for both security and fire / carbon monoxide There are three bedrooms on the top floor, downstairs there is a hallway leading to the front door, a combined lounge / dining room 25m2 with windows at either end, kitchen with door to outside and a bathroom with a large window. The lounge will need to have a carbon monoxide detector fitted as it will contain a log burner. I would like to be able to mount the control unit away from the key pad and may in the future wish to add another keypad to go in the kitchen. I am very happy to have a wired system and install it myself as the whole house is being renovated at the moment but would w…

Hi, I hope that you can help. I currently have a Texecom Veritas R8 wired system that is misbehaving and I am looking to change to a wireless system. I have recently decorated so do not want to start routing new cables and lifting carpets/floorboards. The house is a 3 bed semi, so I don't need the highest spec system. After reading several reports, I'm considering the Scantronic Homelink 55, although I am open to suggestions. The control panel is currently situated in a cupboard under the stairs and I intend locating this in the same place. However, I have a few questions. 1) I want a wireless remote keypad. Can the Homelink 55 operate with one, or do…

  13. I purchased a Veritas Excel panel with LCD keypad (order number 18090). On powering up the system for the first time, the keypad remains blank and does not display any text. The three LEDs on the side are lit and the keypad is illuminated and accepts key presses. Am I missing a configuration step somewhere or is the keypad/panel faulty?

  14. Hi Sales Can you issue a 'price-break' on the IS215T, 9651EN-43 & 9651EN-41 please?

  16. Hi, I wish to upgrade an old wired intruder system in a 4 bed detached house. I am looking for a simple to operate basic system so that next door neighbours can monitor it when I am away and gain access easily. I have chosen the components below which look suitable but am not sure about the pir sensors (no pets to worry about) or the sounders (would the basic sounder be adequate in a residential situation or should I go for the louder twin piezo unit?. There are other existing door switches that I shall re-use. Honeywell Logic 6 + additional fobs Yuasa NP2.1-12 battery Honeywel IS215T (or TCE?) Hi, I've been looking into the Galaxy dimension system for my home for a few reasons, I need to protect the house and two out buildings and I like the IP/GPRS options. Now an oversight on my behalf is the use of RS485 between modules and remote panels, I'm used to systems like the the Honeywell G4. When doing up the house I've used 6 core standard cable, so my problem will be the cable to the remote panel by the front door. The length of this cable is under 10 metres, will I get away with this? As for the 2nd panel upstairs and a powered RIO out in the garage I can easily run cat5 cable. I don't normally ask questions like this but this cable has been run and plastere…

  19. Started by duccen,

I was thinking of getting a wireless alarm like powermax with a GSM backup (think it is a good feature to get events sent by sms when kids come home from school and so on). Main reason to have a wireless is that it is easy to install. I have a house with 5 rooms on the groundfloor. There are 11 windows and 4 doors. The thing is that I have a dog and a cat. Weight of the dog is 33kg. So the questions are. 1. Are the pet IR detectors reliable? They say up to 38 kg so is should be ok, but want to avoid false alarms. 2. If I want protect all windows, what would be the best method. Switches and vibrations sensors on all? It will be rather expensive... 3. I've r…

  22. I would like to fit an auto dialer with my system. The dialer I have chosen is the Honeywell ADE Informa Speech Dialler, the I have 4 different zones, what would be the best complete system to use with the dialer? I prefer a wiered system with panic button and anything else I should take into account? Any help would be much appriciated.

  23. I have purchase from Security Warehouse an ADE Honeywell Easy Set Unit with an ADE Honeywell Accenta Metal Gen 4. The instructions for the Easy Set provide Wiring Details for connection to a G3 and an Accenta 8 Panel, but there is no wiring and program changes for a Gen 4. How is the wiring configured and what program changes are necessary. Our Reference Secware 3 sent 19.45 on the 5th of November.
