I purchased a Veritas Excel panel with LCD keypad (order number 18090). On powering up the system for the first time, the keypad remains blank and does not display any text. The three LEDs on the side are lit and the keypad is illuminated and accepts key presses. Am I missing a configuration step somewhere or is the keypad/panel faulty?

its usually a wiring issue or cable fault. I would advise removing all wiring and the keypad from the wall and connect using a short known and tested cable. if you have followed the correct power up etc it should be fine. let us know how that goes.
