Hi all I received my exchange from yourselves and today installed the new unit. The keypads now turns on unlike before. Just to recap i have connected to the system 3 x Pir`s and 1 door contact. 1 x 16ohm external speaker connected to the system 1 x Keypad connected to the system. 1 x Lan card connected. I turned the system on for the first time there were no sounds and the keypad behaved as expected. The Keypad states Euro 46 but not Euro 46 V10 like in the manual also the time and date adjusted itself, i assume this is because the Lan card is installed and had connection to the internet? More importantly i started to go through …

I saw a website similar to ebay recently. One local guy is selling GSM jammers for a tenner or so. He had 10K feedbacks by the time I found it. I guess 9999 of them was bought by thieves. Hence I understand GSM alarms are placebo for the owners... My question however - the wireless alarm sensors work on frequencies close to GSM 300-900MHz right? So it should be fairly simple to mask sensors with a jammer. As long as the jammed sensors cannot send alarm signal to the control panel - the whole system is pecked... is this the right picture? (I mean the more expensive alarms must have somewhat a poll interval alarm but I guess that should be around 2+ minutes - in…

  3. Good afternoon, Can you help me please. We are building a garage at present and want to use a wired alarm (we normally use the Pyronix euro mini) but we also want a remote wireless key fob that uses the 433mhz frequency so that we can add this new alarm onto the existing key fob that controls the auto gates, outside lights and the garage door. The Pyronix KEYFOB-WE is on the 868mhz frequency as are most of the main manufacturers key fobs. Is there either a good company making a wired system with a 433mhz fob available or a 433mhz wireless alarm expander/key fob that can be added to a Pyronix alarm? (I’m aware that the 433mhz frequency ma…

I have an 11 year old scantronic 9930 fitted professionally and serviced. I am about to purchase a replacement keypad. However with regular power cuts here my alarm now triggers outside bell very quickly and will not go off for 15 minutes, i cannot reset. Also the display shows better missing even though it's not and i have checked all connections which are fine, also the battery is reading 12volts on tester. The only thing i noticed was split at bottom but, NO leaks ?? so why is it showing message and a 12volt reading on tester. Can you advice please as i don't want to waste money on keypad and battery if it is something else.

Hi, I hope that you can help. I currently have a Texecom Veritas R8 wired system that is misbehaving and I am looking to change to a wireless system. I have recently decorated so do not want to start routing new cables and lifting carpets/floorboards. The house is a 3 bed semi, so I don't need the highest spec system. After reading several reports, I'm considering the Scantronic Homelink 55, although I am open to suggestions. The control panel is currently situated in a cupboard under the stairs and I intend locating this in the same place. However, I have a few questions. 1) I want a wireless remote keypad. Can the Homelink 55 operate with one, or do…

  9. Hi, Forgive me if this is very obvious, but I am new to wired alarms and just want to confirm in case all goes wrong... We purchased the Castle Euro Mini alarm from you recently, we are looking at installing it but had a query, if we want to wire more sensors than we have inputs in the unit, can we wire them in parallel in the same way you would wire the Tamper circuit in double pole wiring? then if so, is there a limit or recommended maximum for sensors and cable lengths etc? Our other question, due to it's position, we purchased a duplicate genuine alarm box (not a dummy). should these be wired in together to the same terminals or is there another way? …

  14. I have a client who has an existing alarm system with a eurosec keypad, PR5208 rev 1.0. The keys 2 & 5 have given up working, so we need to replace just the keypad. Is the "Risco Gardtec Eurosec LCD Keypad" product that you sell the right one, or do i need the other one you sell that is for CPX and GTag? Also the original company to fit the system are no longer around, would you have a copy of the installer manual with the default master/installer code as i quite expect that taking the old pad off the wall will set off the system and as the buttons dont work i'll need to reset it all.

Hi, I sent the below to Honeywell UK but haven't heard from them. As it stands I am unable to set the alarm so this is pretty urgent. Can you assist me in understanding why all of a sudden a Le Sucre system is no longer working with your TC2.0e web service? It was working fine until a few days ago when the alarm would no longer set from the main panel using proximity fobs. If I login to the TC2.0e portal I notice the connectivity icon in the top right corner remains red with a cross through it. It won't allow me to delete equipment in order to start over. I have pushed the reset button on the main gprs unit and have of course power cycled all equipment- everything I tr…

my omicron 7000 intruder alarm is giving problems. I think the panel is OK, but the outside bell box doesn't sound.I intend to first replace the bellbox, if this don't resolve the problem then I will replace the control panel. Or do you recommend that I just update and replace both items. I want to reuse the wiring and security devices. can you please recommend a suitable reliable replacement and give me some idea of the cost of the units. many thanks David

Hi All, I have just moved into a new (8 year old) house that has a 9651 alarm. I wanted to change some upstairs lights only to find when I turned the lighting circuit off the alarm started sounding. On further inspection, the alarm system shares the same power circuit as the upstairs lighting. I then tried disconnecting the batteries in the alarm control box and that just sent the alarm crazy again. Is there anyway this system can be put into a "engineer mode" ie can I turn the power off without the alarm sounding?. I have tried the alarm installation company but they can't help over the phone (suppose for security reasons) but are wanting silly money to come out? …
