  1. Started by Secware,

Hi, I'm looking at installing two alarm systems for elderly relatives due to recent break ins in the area and wondered what you could recommend with the following criteria. Property one: wireless system with either prox sensor built in with the possibility of adding a remote one or control panel with two remote prox key pads. 3 wireless magnetic door contacts. 4 wireless PIR wireless external sounder. Property 2: wireless system with either prox sensor on control panel with the possibility of adding a remote one or control panel with two/3 remote prox key pads. 2 wireless magnetic door contacts 4 wireless PIR Wireless external sounder. These systems need to be very…

  3. The system was installed and commissioned as part of a new build. When we moved into the building End of January 2011 we started to set the alarm. On two occasions the alarm has gone off in the middle of the night. on both occasions the keypad has been totally blank but still powered because you can see the back light. on both occasions the only way to stop the alarm has been to open the control panel and disconnect the battery. The electrician (that always fits rafiki alarms) on powering the system back up found that the system thought the keypad had been tampered with. The first time we thought it was the tamper sensor and adjusted it. The second time with the same faul…

  4. I'm currently self-building a house and am trying to decide on the alarm system (wired v wireless primarily) We have a pet (uses ground floor only) so PIR may be an issue. There are 3 doors (entrance, back and bi-fold) and 9 ground floor windows, plus 2 upstairs by a flat roof. I think I'd prefer wireless if possible, but I have a detached garage with games room above (1.5m from house). I also like the Texecom flush control panel - can you connect 2 of these? Can you recommend a system please?

  5. Started by Secware,

My system requires at least 10 wired inputs and up to 8 wireless. What would you recommend in this case. I also want a system which can phone/message me if there is an alarm and can be remotely operated.

I keep getting a tamper alarm, what are the common reasons for this happening? Risco Gardtec G-Tag Contour Keypad & PA(595 & 800 Series)4 Wire Thank you

  9. Started by Secware,

I purchased several items including a ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 and a Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren to update an old system in my house. I fitted the items and all seemed to work well. However I have just realised that when I remove the PCB cover, activating the tamper, the external bell and strobe do not operate. The sounders on both of the key pads are activated by the tamper. The external siren and strobe work as they should in all other situations (test, SOS, if the alarm is triggered etc.) I just cannot work out what is wrong, any help would be appreciated?

  10. Started by Secware2,

Texicom Premier Elite 24 panel, siren and medusa PIRs, Order Number: ***** 31st March and recently completed the installation hard wiring 5 PIR’s into each of 5 of the 8 zones available within the panel. I have set all 5 zones ‘double pole / EOL’ but the panel is showing tamper fault error message. Following further investigations it appears the medusa PIR require 2 resistors to be installed across the tamper 2k2 ohm and zone 4k7 ohm. My first question is – is this correct and secondly do you stock these items.

  11. Hi Have installed this Powermax plus quick fit , all is working but it comes up with a trouble fault of Tamper open on Zone 30. This Zone is not used and the resistors are crossing the Z29 GND and Z30GND , could you advise how to resolve this? The panel is arming

I see two mobile com modules TEXECOM. (type 0001-jae and cegb 001) What's the difference? There is a big price difference. I recently bought a 48 premier installation TEXECOM elite with you. The intention is that the alarm via mobile redirected to mobile. Additional question: To how many mobiles he can send the message and it is only a text message or voice?

  16. Started by Secware,

Hello, I just received the LCD panel, but it seems not possible to change the language as described above. Is gives me only some software version information (See attached picture), not buttons work to change the language. Is there a other way to change the language or a different sequence that I have to follow?

  17. i've been looking at these keypads here: http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/texecom-premier-elite-keypad-p-2481.html You talk about SMK and FMK, is this kit suitable for either surface or flush mounting?

  18. Started by Secware,

last April it has worked perfectly. However recently, although it texts me on arming and disarming, if I try to control the system remotely ie arm, disarm, status it fails to respond. This was a relatively expensive piece of equipment and although just over one year old, I would have expected it to have lasted longer than this. It is operating with a Premier 24 panel (although only partially now!)

  21. I want to install a Texecom intruder alarm system into an apartment to replace a very basic RISCO panel. This has four wired RISCO PIR detectors and single entrance door with contact switch. It has one remote keypad My requirements are to keep the exiting PIRs and contact switch. Replace the keypad and have an auto dialler connected to analogue telephone. However I would like the option to send additional details alerts (stating what activated the alarm) via text message or email, and have the ability to view the event log via a PC as well as program and interrogate the control panel over TCP/IP. I don't know the Texecom products very well but it looks like I would need…

  22. Hi, looking to but the Texecom Kit 2 32 Zone Wireless Kit with Sounder but have some questions. How is the Premier LCDP powered... batteries of PSU? I assume the LCDP is wireless to the main control box? I have a couple of locations I would like to 'hard wire' will any 'standard' PIR be suitable for this? Is it only 4 hard wired channels I can use? Think I need a cover for the bell box with this kit? please point in right direction for this please

  23. Hi I need to replace my current wired alarm system.. I have a mains wired alarm with wired connections. I have a couple of PIR's that are wired, which I see no reason to replace as the cables are hidden. I would like to add additional pirs wireless. I can see execom Kit 3 32 Zone Self-Contained Wireless Kit which looks like it can take 4 wired zones. So I could install this on my current set-up and add wirless pir's to additional rooms. I have a couple of questions. How is the alarm disabled. Is it on the control panel? I see it comes with 2xPremier Elite SmartKey. What exactly is this? Can this disable the alarm without having to put in a code? I have 2 children which I …

  25. Started by Secware,

I want a texecom control panel that can report zones triggered(names&location), users(name&number-if possible) who armed and/or disarmed the system, power failure, battery fault and siren fault. I'll be very grateful if you have or can have such a system. My clients want to get such informations(esp. Users& zones) specifically.
