  4. Started by SteveS,

I am upgrading the alarm system in my home and I am looking for... 1/. A quality detector to use in my conservatory which, being on the SW side of the house, experiences very high temperatures in the summer the obvious changes from direct sunlight to shade. I also have a problem in that the ideal location - where the sun will not strike the unit - has a piece of furniture obstructing. So I can only site in a position where at times the sun may actually strike the unit. Ideally I would like a unit that incorporates glass break detection 2/. We have a log cabin. I am concerned that - should anyone decide to enter one of the methods they could easily use is a battery…

  8. Looking to fit a low cost wire alarm into a small 2 bed house. Need 2x door contacts, 2 PIR and 1 sounder. Ideally I would prefer a seperate small keypad, as there is little room in the hall for the panel, and would like to add in 2 smoke detectors. Price is key, could anyone recommend a panel or kit.

It does not trigger the alarm, seems that it is permanently closed. Is there something i need to do, ie change the factory settings on the sensor or does it need returning? Regards

  16. I am looking at purchasing the Honeywell Galaxy Flex 20 UK Panel together with ESP Fireline smoke and heat detectors. I have a few questions about this product that I am hoping someone can answer. 1. The product has an in-built microphone. Is it also possible to attach an external microphone (like Texecom's voice dialler)? 2. Are the remote functions (e.g. memo playback, listen in etc) accessible through both the GSM route and the normal telephone line. 3. What's the best method for provide back-up power? Thanks.

  18. Can you please advise me on the best battery choice for the above system so I may place my order, and advise me on estimated delivery times. Many thanks. Derry.

  25. Hi I have just ordered a texecom odyssey 3E bellbox. I was going to buy a 4E but the neighbours strobe is totally invisible in daytime so you cant identify where the irritating wailing originates from unless you live next-door!!! How bright are the strobes on these units? Can I have it so it is powered ONLY from the panel (accenta G4) and not the internal battery? Is any fixing equipment included such as wall plugs etc..? oh and is the strobe LED or xenon??? Has anybody got datasheets for this unit that I could read up on?? Can't seem to find any!
