  1. I need some sales support on the purchase of a Scantronic I-ON 40 and accessories. I don't seem to be able to find some of the accessories on your web site and I am unsure what is included with a basic I-ON40. My basic requirement is for the I-ON 40, smoke alarm 720r, Autodialler GJD HY005.

  2. I've just installed an Accenta G4 and have a problem using the set output with the latching option of the Texecom IMPAQ Plus detectors. The Accenta manual states that the set output is positive 12v upon successful set of the system and removed when a correct access code is entered. However when I test the output from the main board, it is 12v positive when the system is unset & removed once set, so opposite to what is stated in the manual. The detector instructions state the same as the Accenta manual for latching, positive when set, removed when unset. Is there a way of configuring this output or is it a fault with the Accenta as I can't find any reference to it i…

  3. Hi I have just ordered a texecom odyssey 3E bellbox. I was going to buy a 4E but the neighbours strobe is totally invisible in daytime so you cant identify where the irritating wailing originates from unless you live next-door!!! How bright are the strobes on these units? Can I have it so it is powered ONLY from the panel (accenta G4) and not the internal battery? Is any fixing equipment included such as wall plugs etc..? oh and is the strobe LED or xenon??? Has anybody got datasheets for this unit that I could read up on?? Can't seem to find any!

Having just commissioned a 9651 I've been testing out event logging for the system. I isolated the mains supply, hopping to invoke a mains fail alert. The RKP recorded the event properly, but interrogation of the event log showed no mains fail alerts. I carried out this mains fail test for both set and unset modes with the same result. Do I have to enable logging for this type of event somehow, or should it be enabled automatically? Or perhaps there's a timer on mains fail events and I didn't leave the mains off long enough? Any ideas? thanks John

Hi, I hope somebody can shed a light on this fault I have on the Texecom Excel panel. Installed this on Saturday but Zone 6 keeps triggering after being armed after a few minutes. Checked the Pir and that seems OK. So removed the Pir in circuit and strapped a 10K resister in Z6 but still activates after a few minutes. Is there a simple solution to this or a faulty panel. All other zones are working good. Using EOL method. Thanks in advance.

  6. I need help please. Bought a A083-00-01 Ethernet module off ebay (yes silly idea) to install into a FX020 install I've just completed. Module has no status LEDs and the system does not see it. Before I order a new one from SW, can anyone tell me if I'm missing something? I would have thought the module would flash an LED even with no connection to the main board with power applied. I'm sure it is dead. Any advice much appreciated, thank you

On 6/4/16 I purchased an Accenta mini Gen4 and several other items from you to update an old alarm system I had in the house. Installed the above and all worked fine. Yesterday I went to replace an old PIR and stupidly I forgot to power down the system first. Afterwards neither of RKP's or any of the PIR's worked, however the bell did. There is power to the PCB as the red light is on. Is there anything I could check, or is it liable to be the end of the PCB? Yours hopefully

  8. I currently have a FreeWave alarm for my detached garage and shed. Working fine but I want to use more wired sensors than the 4 that this allows. Could you advise on an alternative panel? I need 8 wired zones, no wireless, as its for a garage I must be able to arm/disarm remotley with a keyfob from the car and I need the monitoring terminals.

I recently purchased from you a Siemens SPC530.320 alarm panel and Invincibell Plus amongst other compnents My question relates to connecting wiring the Invincibell to the SPC530 panel. In the Invincibell wiring diagram it shows the Bell terminal of the alarm box connected to the bell terminal of teh alarm panel. However on a Siemens SPC530 there is no terminal marked bell so I would like to confirm where the bell terminal of the invincibell should connect to on the Siemens SPC530 SPC ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Com------- NO--------- BHO------ TR------ EX------ EX+------ I also plan…

  10. Hi, I am looking at the above kit to add 1 wireless door contact and 1/2 wireless PIR's to my existing wired system. Does anyone know how the unit is powered ? I think it's 12v but is this via a plug in transformer or does this somehow get it's power from an existing panel ? Also what frequency is this, is it 433 or 866 Mhz. Thanks George

  11. Started by AMuir,

My existing panel was faulty so I puchased a Risco Gartec 490x from you. I liked it beacuse it is hybrid wireless and we are having an extension built, which will make it easy to add additional movement detectors. The control panel and keypad are installed and work fine apart from one problem. I get a warning - off chg volts high / battery/fuse fault - it takes a about 30 minutes after exiting the engineer mode for the fault to register. Its a new battery (again purchased from you) and the fuses are all Ok - any ideas what I have done wrong. Also given that I am not a registered installer will Risco technical help talk to me or am I on my own. regards

I have installed a Powermaster 33 along with a KP 250 Keypad. After months of no problems, the keypad display is now showing "No Communication" whenever any button is pressed. There is therefore no possibility of entering Installer Mode etc.. Is it likely that the communication failure is due to the keypad, the module inside the Powermaster control box or is it possible to reset the comms between the keypad and controller somehow? I would appreciate any help in resolving this matter. Thanks in advance.

  15. Started by smash0007,

hi i had a scantronic 9448+ style installed a number of years ago which has worked perfectly, but since the main fuse was knocked, the mains light on the panel does not illuminate and the panel does not power up. However, there is now a couple of lights on behind the keypad, which had all gone off after the main fuse was knocked out. Also, after the main fuse was knocked out there was a few weak noises from the panel...these have since stopped. Even trying to key in our code, there is no audible sound or any changes to the state of lifelessness. Can you advise us on how to remedy this problem, or suggest a 'like for like' replacement? Yours smash0007

  16. Hi, I had an alarm system and we started having problems with our bell box (kept going off because it was too close to the boiler flue). I decided to replace the bell box and bought a Texecom Odyssey 1E. We've fitted the bellbox but it won't seem to work with my existing system. I'm not sure but it may be that its not compatable with the panel/key pad. I could do with knowing what panel/keypad would work with this bell box, how much they cost and whether you stock such an item. Thanks

I assume with the keypad I 1. open cover 2. disconnect wires (making note of what goes where) 3. wire up new keypad 4. replace cover, enter user code and test alarm

Hi I have a securilite alarm system fitted with the IBX Command centre in the house which has Single head PIR sensor outside to cover the drive way, the sensor has failed and i cannot see any part numbers on the sensor and i am unsure which one to order from you, it looks identical to the voltek sensors you list but which one ? would the Voltek 1804 single head sensor be suitable for this with the range of 18m x 90 degree angle ? Kind regards

  20. Hi, with the Visonic Powermaster 33 if I fit the GSM module what functionality do you have through the app, or do you need to subscribe to the monitoring program to gain the app functionality. Also what type of sim is required, will it work with a G4 network or does it as with other alarms only work with the older G2 networks? Thanks

Hi & thanks for providing this great resource. The house currently has a Scantronic 9800 which I removed & reinstalled (with new sensors & cabling) during an extension 9 years ago - works fine. I have built a detached garage with playroom above and want to wirelessly link 2 PIR + 2 smoke detectors to the house alarm - don't really want battery powered detectors though. Cooper Security recommended 703R & 762 but didn't really want to talk to me as not a pro installer. I will also be needing another keypad for the system. What do you recommend please. Many thanks, Roger

  23. I bought a new DT7550UK2 from you last week to replace an existing faulty one. The existing one is a DT7550UK so assume this must be the older version. Looking at the existing wiring, it is wired as follows F1 - empty F2 - empty T1 - resistor to C T2 - yellow C - resistor back to T1 and to NC EOL - empty NC - resistor to C and blue V- - black V+ - Red Both resistors have the following bands (Brown, Black, Black, Brown, Brown) or I guess could be (Brown, Brown, Black, Black, Brown)? Looking at the installation instructions for the new one, it implies I should not use the existing resistors and wire up as above. Is this the case? Also, will the factory …
