Scantronic 9651: Mains Fail - Log Report

Featured Replies

Having just commissioned a 9651 I've been testing out event logging for the system.

I isolated the mains supply, hopping to invoke a mains fail alert. The RKP recorded the event properly, but interrogation of the event log showed no mains fail alerts. I carried out this mains fail test for both set and unset modes with the same result.

Do I have to enable logging for this type of event somehow, or should it be enabled automatically? Or perhaps there's a timer on mains fail events and I didn't leave the mains off long enough?

Any ideas?

thanks

John

OK, I've finally sussed this one out, stumbled upon the answer the other day.

A footnote on one of the back pages explains that AC fail events are only reported in the log if the condition persists for longer than 15-18 minutes (time chosen at random it says in the manual).
