Hi, I just bought the Honeywell Le Sucre system off you. I would now like to add an external siren for outside of my property, however I can't believe how expensive the SEF8M is at £130 compared to other one's which can be bought for around £30~. Is that literally the only one which will work with my alarm system or do Honeywell/3rd party companies do others?

Hi all... I am a sparky with a builder that would like an additional keypad adding to his Gardtec 591. The current keypad is a Contour with ACE - I assume this is a keyfob system. He only has one code, and the system was under contract with an alarm company by the previous owner, so... 1. Is his code likely to allow the integration of another keypad? 2. As he doesn't have any keyfobs (ACE) does he need another ACE compatible keypad - if not what pad would do? 3. Does the 591 allow factory resets? 4. Is a new system the better option? Many thanks, Simannjo

full Texecom Veritas Excel alarm system After a busy couple of weeks I finally got to installing it this morning. I didn't wire the end station to my field devices just yet, I just linked one of the remote keypads to program my own user codes in. Following the manual, I powered with the battery first and the panel powered up for around 30 seconds but then switched back off (I had just disarmed the panel with the default code and was about to enter the programming menu). I tried powering up again but the panel didn't switch on. I then disconnected the keypad and tried it again with battery and then on mains, nothing happened. No LEDs or anything... The batt…

Hi I prevously bought a Powermax + system from you and I'm having two problems. I can't seem to be able to pair the external siren (MCS 710). I follow the instructions to the letter but when I transmit and press the self test button no pairing is done, it just start sounding (loud) My second problem is similar, I try to pair the MCM 140 keypad and it feels like the pairing is complete but I can not turn on the alarm via the keypad. I'm I missing someting here? Best regards

Panel has become unreliable and believe it is the panel not the wiring. I have 12 proximity sensors, 12 smoke detectors and 2 heat detectors. I also have 3 remote access keypads with simple LCD display. I would like to add another 6 sensors. My questions are: Should I reuse the existing wiring? (its an old house and took a great deal of effort to fit professionally). Which system would provide the most intuitive fault finding? Which system / manufacturer offers the most scope for the future? Can I reuse all the existing detectors? Would ideally like to be able to look in from a pc or iPad to see status? Any comments or suggestions gratefully received.

I'm intrested in a low cost wireless alarm system that I can connect into a PC. I would be looking at about 5 PIR sensors and 2 door sensors to start. In an ideal world multiple codes or RFID tags could be used to set unset.

Hi, I am about to move into a 200m² 4 bedroom detached house in the countryside, I've never had an alarm at a house before, but my wife is worried that as this is more isolated than previous houses (nearest house is ~100m away), that we are at a higher risk than our previous central village location. I am intending on a DIY install, I'm reasonably confident at my capabilities in laying & connecting wiring and drilling holes and am a computer programmer by trade, so would hope the programming side wouldn't beat me! After quite a lot of research I think I've settled on the Honeywell Flex 20. As the whole house needs decorating, I'm not really looking for a pri…

I built my house 17 years ago with a wired alarm system. The six core wiring is inside the wall panels etc. Over the years I have replaced a couple of PIRs etc but now some of the other components are starting to fail (e.g. some parts of the LED displays do not show etc). I was looking to use the existing wiring and replace the control panel, two keypads and the external siren with the following: ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 with LED Keypad Secware 12v 0.8A/h Value Alarm Battery (assuming the Mini Gen4 does not include a battery) ADE Honeywell LCD Keypad for Optima / Accenta Control Panels Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren Blue. Inc White Cover Is this feasib…

I am comparing the Galaxy Dimension with the G2-20 and G2-44 panels. Somewhat ironically, I cannot find the dimensions of the Dimension control panel box. Do you have this information (assume the GD-48 if other variants are larger)? And can the the inputs on all three panels (G2-20, G2-44 and GD-48) be expanded through adding a card into the main control panel box or is it necessary to fit another box? Thanks Tim

Just installed my 1st panel (in my own place)!! All seems to have gone ok but I'm wondering what to use for the "loop" connections between tamper wires. I've got 8 zones to link and "choc block" (aka terminal strip) seems a bit excessive. What have you used?

I installed a system a year ago which I purchased from you and it seems to have developed a fault. Initially when a walk test was done it wouldnt identify some of the zones and then removed the cover from the unit and I cannot get rid of the cover tamper warning so cannot set the system. Do you think the control unit has gone U/S. steve

Hello I'm rewiring my house and as my floorboards are up and walls chased I have decided to install a burglar alarm. I'm going to go with the Castle Care Tech Euro 46. I have a few questions, should I use 6 or 8 core wire? I'm pretty sure everything wires back to the Control Panel. Finally does the control panel come with a keypad because I would like the flush satin chrome one. Or does it come as a second input device therefore I will have 2 keypads on the system I hope you are able to help with my questions Regards Jasdeep

I am struggling to find information on how to wire the Pyronix Deltabell Plus to the Honeywell Flex 20. Also i would like to know how to wire the Honeywell DT8012F5 DUAL TEC Motion Sensor with Pet-Immunity (DT8012F5) to the Honeywell Flex 20 panel. At present i have connected the positive and negative to +12V and 0V. I have connected the NC to 0V and put a 1K resistor at the sensor to C, and then again a 1K resistor from C to Tamper. The problem i have is the sensor doesn't have a Fault terminal to wire to zone 1.

Having a bit of a nightmare here trying to default the user codes on the Galaxy g2-20 panel, can log in with the engineers code but when I go into the users menu the only code I can change is the engineers code itself. Also been through the engineers manual in detail and theres nothing there. Ive tried a power down and power up method that worked for me before but that doesn't seem to work either. If any1s got any ideas would be a great help cheers

I have a problem with the GSM-module...when I installed it I made the system powerless as it said in the manual, installed the sim-card and put the module in place. I connected the power both the battery and the AC. When I later should install the GSM in the "menu# 6" (where I put in the numbers the alarm shall sms to) it
