I previously sent this by email but received an automated response saying to post on this forum. I ordered a Panasonic BLC20 network camera from you on 12 June 2008. It was working fine until recently when it has become unresponsive. The network setup program does not detect the existence of the camera when it is set to wired mode and connected either directly into the computer or into the router. The factory reset button does not seem to have any affect. The routers Ethernet socket lights up when the camera is connected and set to wired and I've tried using a different cable. I've also tried entering the MAC address directly into the setup program and disabling all …

hi, I read the specs for the cameras I purchased off you and it says the current consumption for each camera is 200mA, since I've got 4 cameras I selected a 2A swich mode PSU just to be on the safe side. From having received the cameras, I've noticed the labels on them show 12v/700mA, and it also says this is the instructions I got with them? Is this current the maximum that the camera can take or the maximum that the camera may draw from the supply?, just if that's the case I'm guessing a 2A supply would overload.

Hi I am a residential customer, looking for a CCTV system, American dynamics I am aware of. I have a commercial background so do not want something that is ‘toys are us’. Initially I want two external cameras, 360 degrees, night & day, zoom as discrete as possible. They need to be hard wired to the recorder, which can then be accessed by wi fi but not wi fi cameras if you catch my drift. Also is the facility available for sound recording? I.e if someone is standing outside a property shouting is it possible to capture real time video and sound recordings that could be used in legal proceedings ? In addition to this I will be wanting an alarm I have used Banham in the …

Hi, I'm going to purchase 4Nos secware HD-SDI 2MP 1080P cameras, and Im also looking to purchase the secware eco 4 channel HD-SDI DVR. I realise that the DVR already comes with a PSU to cope with a single hardrive, but no hardrive is included, I understand that the hardrive I need is to be a sata 2 type but what size will fit it's just you can get two sizes of hardrive one for desktop pc's & one for laptops that is slimmer in size? Also the DVR is Linux embedded so am I right to guess that it's just a case of installing the hardrive with no need to install any additional software for a functional operating system? Also will the secware eco dvr be full…

Has anyone used ANPR via standard cameras? It seems to work ok with enough light and stationary or slow moving cars. I've seen it used at petrol stations and such like but can't seem to find much info on the web. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Regards, Daan

I'm currently running Ubuntu Linux on my laptop and would like to know which security cameras or kits are compatible with my system. I'm looking at both wired and wireless options. I want a 4 channel system that I can monitor from a web browser or "zonealarm." The control unit or transceiver should be able to connect to my laptop through usb or WiFi.

Hello I am living in France and would like to install CCTV at home. I had a look in your catalogue on network and I had made some choice regarding cameras and recorder. To be more precise regarding my CCTV project, here below some detail info's. -Camera will be fitted outside, in a protected area regarding direct rain (below roof extender) at 2.5 m far from floor. -Max distance to record (10 m for 1 camera and 17 m for the second one) -Day night recording with auto switch. -1 camera will be orientated to the direct south, the second one to the direct north. -Recorder will be activated by a direct wired alarm loop coming from the central alarm block. -Play b…

Hi, I am planning on installing three Axis 233D PTZs on poles to monitor a private driveway. I will be using Milestone XProtect to record the cameras permanently, but I'd like to add an IR detector to trigger an alarm in Milestone when motion is detected. I'd also like to connect a loudspeaker up to each camera so the monitoring station can give an audio warning. All the kit will be mounted 5m+ up lighting poles, with an IP66 enclosure just below the kit to hold a UPS and data switches etc. I'm leaning towards using Optrex LRP4010S IR detectors, and Bosch 35W Horn loudspeakers. Do I need an amplifiers between the Line out of the Axis 233D and the lo…

I would like the following: - 3 cameras - would much prefer wireless so dont have to drill holes through walls - be able to record onto a PC, preferably with some kind of software that records "incidents" ? - be able to access video remotely from a different location - night vision is nice but not essential Kind regards Mark
