  1. Hi I am looking into buying a Visonic home alarm system Is it possible to mount a curtain detector across a room, i.e. creating a wall (a foot inside of a number of windows), even though there might be chairs etc on the floor?
  2. I want to use the PGM output to connect another device (trigger an event). The requirement for this is that the PGM has a binary digital output (On/Off). Does it? And how do I use this?
  3. I have two garage doors, roller shutter style on my house in need of connection to the Visonic powermax complete system installed. Is it possible to use the "MCT-100" connected to a couple of "Knight Plastics F10C Roller Shutter" or do you have some other recommended solution for garage door protection?
  4. It was to replace an old handset, where i suspect the microphone had stopped working in the handset. The old unit use to buzz when operated. This one sounds like it is wanting to make a noise but it just seems to click.
  5. Was this to replace an older hanset? Did the old phone ring, buzz or an audible tine?
  6. I recently received and installed a new videx 3011 handset, which i had ordered from yourselves. Everything on the handset seems to be working fine apart from the buzzer. Whenever someone hits the buzzer button downstairs, my handset just seems to make a faint clicking noise instead of buzzing. Is this a fault with the handset or a fault with the way i've wired it up?
  7. I have a domonial Crt 800 ++I have a problem with setup of the alarm system becourse I do not have the installation software. I thought it was enough to buy the TCU4-800M but I can not get the alarm system to work together. Is there an another way for me to program the system, or do you have the software and necessery cables to get the alarm to work.
  8. I assume with the keypad I 1. open cover 2. disconnect wires (making note of what goes where) 3. wire up new keypad 4. replace cover, enter user code and test alarm
  9. i have a eco1000b base connected 13v to 4 on base 0v to 1 on base and switch to c and n/c I did look on forum but switch means nothing to me I connected +ve and -ve to base but connect from where? on control panel to C and N/c on base
  10. i want to buy some of these contacts to use them with the MC-302E PG2. From the info of this contact it says that it has 6 terminals. Is there a way to connect these 6 terminals to the 2 input zone of the MC-302E PG2 and use all the benefits ? or this is impossible and i'll just have to buy a 2 terminal contact ? Is there a way a 2 terminal contact to be used with E.O.L wiring or then i have to buy 4 terminal wich i suppose they have tamper terminals to do that
  11. From the manual of MC-302E PG2: "A 47k? E.O.L. resistor must be wired at the far end of the zone loop" Is this value (47000?)of the resistor correct? or it means 4k7 (4700?) resistor?
  12. I am trying to create my own camera system, i counted that i will need approx. 20 - 30 camera's to monitor my premises. Since i want to create the system on my own, i am looking for some good IP Cams with IR and Ethernet. I was thinking to use Zoneminder as the DVR software so the cameras should be supported by it. The camera should be able to recognize faces in the dark but there is no need for PTZ since they will be static. I want to create the DVR with Zoneminder because of the limitations with branded DVR's or do you sell good open source Linux based DVRs ?
  13. PA Fault lockout means that the PA circuit is staying open, as stated that you have linked out the PA circuit and that should have cleared the fault, however if the Engineer reset is enabled you will need to reset the system by typing the engineers code. So when you see that message on the display simply enter the engineers code and that should clear the fault as you have already linked out the PA circuit.
  14. Purchased Accenta Mini G4 from you and have only just got round to installing it. On first power-up, I noticed that the walk test had a 1 under the P indicating a problem in the PA circuit. When I logged out of Engineer Mode I am also receiving a "PA Fault Lockout". I removed the PA button I had fitted suspecting a wiring problem and returned the factory fitted link on the PA terminals. I am still seeing the above fault and am left with an alarm in an unusable state. Any ideas of what might be causing the problem?
  15. I read that Axis 1031w surveillance camera was supported by the powermax alarm. How many cameras are supported? If I connect a camera to the powermaster alarm, can I also connect it to my synology NAS?
  16. Installed an enforcer panel roughly 3 months ago and it has been working fine, setting and unsetting no false alarms etc, a few weeks ago it started flagging Mains failure, a code was entered to silence it and mains was restored. the following day it started flagging up LOW voltage on the screen, a code was entered to silence it but the orange triangle remained, the panel then died. I opened the panel and checked voltage going in and it was 240v, the battery must have ran the panel for about 14 hours but i dont see why it didnt recharge the battery because the mains was and still is entering the panel. Any suggestions or repairs i could make as its now providing no security?!
  17. My installation went fine and system has been working fine for 2 months now. Yesterday we had a power cut and the alarm went off immediately. On investigation I found that the battery fuse was blown and that the charging circuit was generating no voltage at all. This means voltage from the supply side of the fuse holder is not present. The low voltage AC supply from the transformer is ok. If I put in a new fuse ( all I have at home is 1A ) and then connect up the battery the fuse blows immediately. The open circuit voltage on the battery is around 12.5 volts and I imagine that is the charge it had when I bought it. The battery is not a short circuit . If I ignore the back up battery circuit the alarm continues to work normally. As I am unable to detect any voltage being generated in the charging circuit I have come to the conclusion that there is a fault on the PCB or one of its components.
  18. i would like to ask if the auxilliary input of the MC-302E PG2 can be programmed as a different zone.I want to use 2 different zones from the MC-320E PG2. Can this be done ?
  19. I would recommend using the expander board 9-100775 and fitting that to your PowerMaster 30. Once fitted that should give you 450mA to work with. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2199
  20. These PIRs require a power supply of min. 9V which I intend to draw from the Powermaster Central 12V auxiliary output, as it is backed up by a battery. The PIRs consume 19mA max, so 38 mA in total, which exceeds the Powermaster specs of 36 mA max for this auxiliary output. Can you suggest an alternative power output please, or do you think it's no problem to connect the PIRs as planned to the Central.
  21. Sadly this panel is now obsolete and the new keypads are not compatible.
  22. Was wondering if you can supply a simple remote panel for the Optima Plus 2
  23. Bought a Galaxy GD-48 with touchcenter all is All is ok except the front LED’s do not operate. System is ready but no green led , when you set the system, the system sets but the red LED is not on. System reports no faults or trouble and touchcenter LED test works fine all LED’s operate.
  24. I'm looking to buy a Honeywell SS/01 SS/F Simple Set Reader for connection to a new Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 or Optima Compact G4. Is the relay return required from the simple set reader to the panel OR will it operate just using the normal 4 wire Positive, Negative, Sound and Comms?
  25. Can I please ask what resistor values you were using on your sensors, have you checked this matches your panel config?
