I am planning an alarm for my house. It should be hybrid with wired and wirefree sensors. I have been looking at Scantronic. Which of Homelink 55 and I-on40 do you recommend? No price difference as I get it. Are there any other brands that you reccommend?

hey guys i have done a reset of my alarm system (had front door changed which affected tamper on door and i made the mistake of resetting entire system) so i am at step one and i am struggling to configure how it was before. i will try my best to give as much detail as possible. I have an Infinite Prime Alarm System installed. The alarm system has a PSTN module which I want to setup.I intend to run a two wires (blue/white and white/blue) from the master socket to the micro filter marked ‘from VDSL Line’.The two ‘OUT’ wires marked ‘To Modem’ would go to the two terminals on the PSTN module. Is this correct?Is the PSTN module performing like a modem? I do apologise for my lack of ignorance regarding the function of a PSTN module.Thanks

Hi everyone. I have been reading a lot of your helpful comments on various wireless alarms[ in particular]. as you will have gathered by by nom de plume I do not know a lot about these items. My questions are, in the scantronic range is the 703r contact transmitter for hard wiring in garage block to signal back to main panel in residence by wireless and are the 2 wired relay outputs suitable for external sounders [ sab]or do I have to use a conversion panel as on sapphire website. john

If I order two complete alarm systems with accessories, is it possible to get any kind of discount? Do I need to change anything else except the power connection to get it working in Sweden?

i ordered and installed an ade alarm system, the customer has asked if i can clear the event log, i have looked but this is not shown in the manual. can this be done ( hopefully from the key pad )

is there a wireless trasmitter/reciver interface that can be fitted to the above to expand the system to more than 8 zones

Hello, I have now received my alarm but when I connect power I get a fault code: - NOT READY TRBL MEMORY and I can not find this fault code in the maual or on Visonics webpage. Please advise how to proceed.

Hi all, purchased this from security warehouse last year and just got round to installing it. I have wired up all sensors - 3 Pir`s and 1 door contact. I have an 16ohm external speaker connected to the system I have 1 Keypad connected to the system. 1 have one Lan card connected. I turned it on for the first time and i hear a time which confirms it has been turned on. I expect the keypad to light up but there is nothing from the keypad. The keypad does not light up. Would you be able to stock the klaxon H sires value back plate and covers as i have been using this type of external sounder. I would normally order 40 - 50 covers at a time which would be screen printed for free and 20 live plates is this something that you could arrange?

We require Optical & Ionization, can you recomend an Ionization Detector for the Honeywell Galaxy Dimension Panel and explain the diffrence in the standard and diode base. Hi all, I fitted the above about 6 months ago, the following is the setup: GD-48 3x MK8 Keypad's 1x External powered RIO Handful of PIR's Handful of G3 door mags Elmdene bell box Ethernet Module for Self Mon All has been working excellently up until today, the alarm put out a tamper so all 3 keypads were beeping constantly, upon me trying to input a user code or the manager code not 1 of the keypads would accept any key presses. While this is ongoing randomly on different keypads the static white LED would flash rapidly, also the beeping would stop altogether then start again. I eventually managed to get into the system using the manager code to…

i have paired my deltabell external sounder (see previous posts)problem i have now is whenever i enter my alarm code - the external sounder goes?when i do enter the codeit does bring up a message on the displayTesting....and then the standard now arming message...there is no alert about the external deltabell being triggered on the display panel and re entering the alarm code does not turn it off either. i have to access engineer menu and and exit and then it says 'saving nvm data' and it turns offproblem i have is i cannot set the alarm in either of my zones without the external sounder immediately going off?any advice on how i can fix this please?

Hello! I'm in the process of building a home alarm that consists of the G2-44 Panel and I'd like to know a couple of things: Provided that I have installed a RF Portal, 1. Will this Glass Break Detector that Securitywarehouse supplies (Model: DOM-BG- work with the Galaxy system? 2. Will the KTC 805 keyfob work with the system? If I'd like to purchase the FlexGuard Glass Break Detector and Magnetic Contact (model FG-1608T) as well as the TCB8M Keyfob would it be possible for Securitywarehouse to order them? Thanks! I currently have a Texecom R8 house alarm. I need to replace the main circuit board, so I thought I would upgrade to the Excel, use the Existing R8 as a remote keypad in an alternative location and install an new PIR sensor while I was at it. The question is. Is the existing R8 keypad compatible with the Excel board? (as an additional remote keypad) and will the existing PIR sensors operate correctly? Do you use any further problems? I am quite new to wiring intruder alarms. I just purchased the H-well ADE Accenta 4 x PET PIR Starter Kit and have the following questions: 1. My current intruder alarm has an internal siren and a strobe both in serial connection to a PIR. Is this possible with the H-well kit or do they both have to have their own wiring? 2. According to the H-well Engineer's Manual the strobe should be connected with yellow, white, green, red and black. What about the blue? 3. I have an internal siren which is connected with 6 core cable but extension speakers should be connected with 2 wires according to Engineer's Manual. What do I do? 4. 6 core wiring in general.
