Is the 9448 manual the same or similar to the 9448+ manual as I need to gain access to the panel without it going into full alarm. Or can anyone tell me how this can be done. I have installed many Optimas over the years but never got involved with Scantronic.

Hi informa bought with accenta poly gen4 (LCD Keypad) on 23 March. Alarm installed ok. Informa wired as per instructions. Programmed phone number and recorded message. When testing, you can hear number being dialled on the infoma box and then shortly after you hear the recorded message but the programmed telephone does not ring. Tried it with different numbers and programmed the number on 1,2&3. When trying it with a mobile phone number, the mobile didn\'t ring but received a missed call from the unit about 5 minutes later (this didn\'t happen everytime we tried the mobile - nothing came through). thanks

Was wondering if anybody has detail for the Scantronic Plug-in footprint used by the 960? I wanted to hook this speech dialer up to an alarm that does not have the Scantronic footprint. If I could get hold of the spec for the two connectors of the 960 I could then jury rig a connector (or spade terminals) to tease out the 4 standard triggers as well as the line fail signal. I could also take care of any other inputs that need to be dealt with. Any ideas? I've done an extensive web search for detail of the footprint but have not found anything. Thanks John

Hi, I hope somebody can shed a light on this fault I have on the Texecom Excel panel. Installed this on Saturday but Zone 6 keeps triggering after being armed after a few minutes. Checked the Pir and that seems OK. So removed the Pir in circuit and strapped a 10K resister in Z6 but still activates after a few minutes. Is there a simple solution to this or a faulty panel. All other zones are working good. Using EOL method. Thanks in advance.

Do you sell both MCT-302 and MCT-302T? The information in the text on the site talks about both items but in the end it is indicated that you only sell MCT-302. Is this correct?

Hi. After installing a new accenta mini today i was ready to power up. connected mains but on connecting battery connections i saw the battery fuse blow. I checked all wiring, found to be correct and changed the fuse, connected battery and again the fuse blew immediately. I then disconnected all wiring from the system, i.e. bells and detectors, so it was 'as arrived new' and again, replaced battery fuse, powered mains and connected battery and the same thing happened again. I left battery & fuse out and powered up from mains. Alarm seemed to be working ok but i then noticed smoke coming from a resistor above and slightly right to the battery fuse, so i…

Hello, We recently moved into a house that has a non functional wired ITEC Meridian panel (prob. 20 years old?). It has power to it but the front keypad does not respond to any key presses, and the alarm it not activated by the tamper switches on the panel door. The last occupiers never used it (over 12 years or so) and did not have any codes or manuals so I was thinking that the easiest solution would be to fit a new panel. I've no experience with alarms but I am an electronics engineer so am happy to give it a try with some helpful advice:) Present zone layout: Z1: PIR on stairs (6 core cable) Z2: Garage door magnetic reed switch (6 core cable) Z3: 5 of GS610…

Hi, I am looking at the above kit to add 1 wireless door contact and 1/2 wireless PIR's to my existing wired system. Does anyone know how the unit is powered ? I think it's 12v but is this via a plug in transformer or does this somehow get it's power from an existing panel ? Also what frequency is this, is it 433 or 866 Mhz. Thanks George

i'm sorry but yesterday i received your ex-35r optex detectors and, comparing with mine, i discovered that inside my detector there is one more transmitter, probably compatible with my General Electric "Simon" alarm. here you can see the manual (in italian) of my "Simon": http://www.hesa.com/index.php?page=shop.getfile&file_id=658&product_id=515&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=37 in this manual it is written that Simon works with any "autolearning" detector SX ITI at 433Mhz. if you want, i would like to send you a picture to show the transmitter that is inside, and if you have it i can purchase, or if you have detectors compatible with my alarm system …

I would like to install either a Honeywell Galaxy 2-20 or 2-44. The house is very large with detached garages 10m away. Because the majority of the house floors can not be lifted and the decoration disturbed a wireless system must be fitted. This does not seem to be a problem for the Galaxy G2. Initial assessment suggest that in excess of 40 wireless detectors are required (dual-tec, door contacts, smoke alarms etc). As far as I can tell from the Honeywell specs there is no limit to the number of wireless detectors that can be added to the system, is this correct? Without doing a detailed RF site survey I anticipate that 2 RF portals will be required, the …

please i am wanting to buy the scantronic 55 system however i have some questions - does this have a phone out feature via sim card or by bt line if it is triggered. does this accept pir / door contacts that have been used for an optima honeywell hard wired system since it is an 'hybrid' system... so that i might replace the optima and buy the wireless pir as and when i can. essentially i need a wireless system for a domestic use where i would have around 5 pir and couple of door contacts and smoke alarm external bell and key fob - is there anything other than the homelink 55 that is also suitable and fairly straightforward to use - set up and around

I'm just powering up a Texecom Veritas Excel system with an LCD keypad. The keypad is receiving power as it is illuminated, the power LED is lit and the keypad is accepting key presses. However, the LCD display remains blank and displays no characters. Am I missing a configuration setting somewhere or is the keypad/panel faulty? Thanks!

Hello! I have recently purchased the above alarm panel kit from you as part of an intruder alarm system, which i put together using your website and purchased on the 3rd March 2010. I have received a user manual however I also require the engineers/installation manual. As the payment has cleared am I able to download this manual from your website and if so can you advise me how? I am keen to install the system as soon as possible so if you could get back to me as soon as you can it would be much appreciated. Regards! Cspudfire.[/color]

Hello all, I fitted an alarm system a few years ago and put contact breakers on my windows. To save on wiring I "shared" the different wires within the 6 core cable I used between 2 zones, with a common tamper circuit, on the rear of my property. I have now had sliding sash windows fitted which have made the contacts unsuitable. I was thinking of replacing them with vibration detectors but noticed that some have LED's. I assume this means that they need a power source to operate - the same as the wiring for a PIR detector. Are non-powered vibration detectors available or will I have to rewire with 8 core in order to maintain my zone separation? Thanks for any help…

Hi, We are having false alarm trouble with one sensor in our already installed alarm. We have sensitivity set at the lowest possible level. This GS611 shock sensor with reed switch is mounted horizontally on the top right of an external glass door frame (on the frame not the door) - it is a back door and rarely used. I cannot find (anywhere in the UK/Ireland) that will sell me a replacement, I can get one from the states but shipping is 90$+ (!) My question is, do you know of a compatible replacement shock sensor/reed switch that I could source in the UK?? For example from securitywarehouse would this wor…
