Hi, I have a texecom PIR which has a normally closed relay, unfortunately I have a voice off device which plays MP3s when triggered. This requires a Normally Open input which closes to trigger the MP3. Is there an off the shelf device which would convert this PIR from Normally Closed to Normally Open input? Many Thanks

I am almost there.. a few questions left. I am looking for a down to earth intruder alarm system for my house. My electrician will fit it. I think this ADE accenta will do. I am looking for a small external sounder. Is the Eurosec XS3D a good option? I would like to order the one with the orange bottom, so which items do I have to order? As I want to add a speech dialler in the future is it right that the only one ADE panel which supports this function is the ADE accenta metal Gen4? Or does the other models this as well? Which battery should go with this metal ADE accenta? My electrician wired 4 core wires to the PIRs. Is that OK for standard PIRs? If so wh…

I have gone through the programs ,program 1 does everything, program 2 i have set up to just do downstairs. I have gone through the manual and done as it says, but when i set the alarm it says that once the code is typed in and the countdown begins press 'P' and the tone will stop then press the program you wish ie. 2. But for me the countdown doesnt stop, I press 'P' and 2 and it does nothing and it still says program '1' on the LCD keypad. Please help before I use a hammer on it as it is very frustrating!!!!! I am replacing an old system which is armed on exit using a shunt lock, I require a similar wired system. As we have a number of keyholders we prefer the final lock to arm / disarm the system in preference to a keycode

  7. Hi, hopefully you can help me my Eurosec cp8l has stopped working after several years. I need to get a replacement if possible I would appreciate it if you have any suggestions for me to swop over to a new alarm thanks.

Hi, we have constructer a community hall with aluminium windows and doors. Do you have a door and window sensor which can be wired into the building security alarm or wireless which can be concealed in the frame? The Client does not like surface mounted door alarm sensors.

Is it necessary to solder in-line resistors to all the zone inputs i.e. E/E, PIR and door contacts? With my old Scantronic 9200 I just connected the contacts straight across the inputs on the PCB. The scematic shows a resistor on the e/e input. Thanks

  12. Please can you tell me if you are able to supply a plug-by communicator for a Scantronic 9651.

Hi, i had a Powermaster-10 kit installed about a year ago. Recently the ability arm via a SMS message (arm xxxx) has stopped working. Using SMS to ask the alarms status (status xxxx) works and when use the communications test option via the control pannel i get the Auto test SMS message sent to my phone. I've tried differnet pass codes for differnet users etc. Plenty of credit on the sim card. So all seems to be working except the ability to arm? Any thoughts or suggestions on what else to try/check. Thanks Ewan

  14. I'm looking to replace a Scantronic 9853. Would the Eaton I-On interface with the existing PIR's etc? what the most suitable replacement would be as this panel is not in production now.

  15. The Scantronic alarm is situated in the hallway and the past couple of days an alarm keeps going off. It seems to happen when we close the door leading into the hallway or sometimes we do nothing to set it off. The error on the log says "Z01 TAMPER", so there is tampering in zone 1 but the installer didnt inform us on the zones in the house or even how many zones there are in the house. I would be tempted to omit the Zone 1 from the system, but I would be worried as I am guessing it is the zone that encompasses the front door/hallway. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, Could you please confirm if the following batteries are suitable for the Optima Compact Gen4 and if they will fit into the enclosure ok? Hi, I installed risco cpx with novaguard 2 years ago, would anyone know what onboard battery (nimh I dthink)oes novaguard 6 comes with?is it 6v or 8.4 volts?my cpx panel is asking me this. The reason I am asking is because in logs I get Nov 1 chg(ma) Hi and Nov 1 on-chg Hi even though all the parameters are correct, not sure if this could be to do with me not setting the correct battery volts. the error in logs have been there since day 1 but last last I had a false alarm and in log it said " external bell tamper" and I want to just rule the volt setting out. Thanks
