I’m looking for a PIR sensor that can detect movement both from the bottom and the top of a staircase. Our current sensor is positioned on the wall above the door at the bottom of the staircase, but it only detects movement when someone is about four steps from the bottom. This is creating a safety risk, as the lights aren’t activating until a person walking down is already quite close to the bottom. The staircase is approximately 9 metres long. I have images I can share — please let me know an email address where I can send them. I was looking at the following item and was wondering if it would work for my requirements, or if you could recommend a product that would be m…

Hi 1. What PIR detectors are included in the Risco Wireless Wisdom Kit? RWT92? 2. Informative stickers (informning the possible burglar of the alarm), are such included or can they be bought separately? 3. Could you give me some advice regarding Risco's Wisdom and the Powermax+? Those are the recommended/approved wireless alams in Sweden but there seems to be quite a difference regarding the price (3PIR, external siren, central unit, 2 keyfob)? Best regards, Jonas

I have replaced an old Optima panel, (18 years old) with a new Optima Compact. All works fine except the LED in the PIR does not flash like they used to when I walk into a room and the alarm is not set. You can still hear the relay click in the PIR. Only the panel wiring has been touched. Any suggestions what to check as I have already checked the wiring, or does the new Optima panel work slightly different than the old one. Robin

Hi, I am looking at the above kit to add 1 wireless door contact and 1/2 wireless PIR's to my existing wired system. Does anyone know how the unit is powered ? I think it's 12v but is this via a plug in transformer or does this somehow get it's power from an existing panel ? Also what frequency is this, is it 433 or 866 Mhz. Thanks George

I've bought a Visonic keypad KP-160 PG2. According to the manual, it should be possible to use an optional power source (5-12V DC) instead of batteries. Where can I buy such a power supply? Thanks

Hi I have just installed a new Accenta G4 Compact with LCD keypad. I am quite confident that all is wired correctly. I note the Engineer's manual tells you to connect all the zones, tamper, pa circuits and then speakers. First question - the manual tells you to make sure that the factory fitted links are connected to the PA, TAMP and T-A. Surely this would mean that these functions would not work if these links were left in as they would be permanently shorted? I have checked all these circuits and they are closed (short) and therefore I assume I may disregard this. Second question - On page 14 the manual instructs you to connect the mains and it says t…

TICKET QUESTION I have been installing Visonic Powermax systems for a while now and now have a customer requesting a PIR with built in camera. I understand the Powermaster 30 is the only solution? This uses the Next Cam PG2 for which I can't find a price. Also I need to know if images only go to central monitoring station?

The chime that comes from the KP250 keypad is pitiful, even on max setting its only just audible if your in front of it. I cant see anything in the documentation that says the indoor siren can be used as as a chime speaker. Please can someone confirm if this is possible?

HI, Should the KP-250 keypad play sounds? I can hear beeps when i press buttons however there is no count down when the alarm is setting, there is no sound when a recorded message is played and there is no chime when the door opens... Am i missing something? i have turned the volume up - the beep gets louder. I have pressed 8 and the alert(bell) icon is lit and the chime is set to on and melody chime. Do i need another speaker installing or is my keypad faulty? Thanks in advance

Hi all, I have just purchased the MCM-140+ keypad for use with an standard Powermax Alarm. When the alarm is in Enroll Keyfob mode and I press the * for two seconds, the alarm does not recognise the keypad. I have just re-enrolled all other sensors and a keyfob without any problems. Any ideas? Many thanks, Paul

Hi I have a powermax 10 with a GSM link we bought right before Christmas. Up until a couple of months ago, it cannot receive SMS commands any more. At first I thought it was something with teh phone operator, and I have been in contact with them. But now I think it might have to do with the GSM module. I'm not sure. The strange thing is that it will send SMS messages, because I receive status reports and auto test messages and such. And if I arm it manually on the display, I will get an SMS. However if I reply to it and say STATUS and my code, I never get any replies and nothing happens. Please advise. What can I do to trouble shoot it?

What is the differences between the CQR FW/GD04 Communicator (GSM) and the visonic GSM-100? Are there any other gsm-modules that are compatible with the pm+? My pm+ controlpanel is bought in sweden, will I have any problems if I buy any of the gsm-modules you have from UK? Will the sms-messages still be in swedish?

how do i clear an error - it states z03 alarmed - living room and says 'alarm in memory'. i also have a s01 tamper/open error [its the back pin i think - box is fixed back to pebble dash wall and the pins clearly not pushed in.] - not sure if it can be adjusted - instructions arent that clear... if i sort out the external box, will this then clear the issue/problem i have with the living room and allow me to set the alarm??

Hi, Will I have any compatibility problems if I buy the controlpanel (powermax+ or powermax pro) from sweden and all the sensors from UK? I would like to have the speech and text in swedish. Could I even mix my setup with sensors from sweden and UK? Does any of the powermax(+/pro/complete) controlpanels support swedish language? regards Olof

I have recently changed a Optima compact Gen 4 panel as a favour for someone. The first panel that was bought through Amazon had a fault on it. A second unit has since been fitted and all is working except the new Siren which is a Reson 8. The unit comes with pre-fitted links across TA TAMP and PA. The manual states that these should be in place when powering the unit up. This contradicts some advice on online instruction that says to remove the link to T A when wiring the siren. The external siren does not sound or flash when an alarm is activated, internal sounder in board works OK and all zones work fine on a walk test. No LED,s in the siren are vi…

Hi! Bought a Visonic Powermax+ alarm from you and have run into some problems regarding master installer code and installer code. The problems shows on both the central unit and the keypad unit. When I installed the alarm, I (of course) changed the default codes to my own. However, as far as I can remember I only changed 2 codes where off one being the user code and the other one either the master installer or the installer code. Now I can't seem to access the alarm using the other alternative of installer codes. I would be glad if you could give me some hints to where I've gone wrong. The setting and fault behavior right now are as follows: 1. When first changi…
