Intruder Alarms

I have G4 panel with LED remote keypad.I want to make door chime facility louder, do I need to connect another sounder to rkp or back to main panel? RKP is near door which terminals do I use on rkp and/or G4 panel, I already have extra sounder near main panel, close to back door also set to chime, wired to speaker terminals in main panel but this responds to alarm condition and mirrors rkp sounder when alarm activated but when front or back door is opened then I'm only getting usual beep-bo from rkp.Am I using the right connections in main panel?

I am looking to replace the scantronic alarm system I have (the ion 16 as I have found it quite poor). I am wanting something like the new Visonic (with Visonic PowerG KP-160 Black Touch Screen Arming Station c/w Prox). Can you advise of what I need and costings? Ideally I want: 2 Pet PIR's, 1 door contact, 2 control units with 4 proixi tags 1 outdoor siren Can these be self fit?

Hi iv recently bought a 4 zone shock anylser from you and iv found the varible resistor to adjust each zone but how do you adjust the pulse count.

is there anyway of turning down the volume of the ADE Honeywell MSN Multi Siren MS-N on the entry & exit of alarm?

I have just installed an Accenta Mini Gen 4. I am using zone 2 on the panel as as inhibited (default setting) when I set the panel it show zone 2 as an error as it detects the operator in the exit zone. The alarm sets ok after you exit the property as the error clears. Upon re-entry zone 2 is inhibited ok as the alarm is not activated. I would have thought that the zone 2 should also be inhibited in the exit mode and not show an error on the panel. Is this correct.

Hello all, I fitted an alarm system a few years ago and put contact breakers on my windows. To save on wiring I "shared" the different wires within the 6 core cable I used between 2 zones, with a common tamper circuit, on the rear of my property. I have now had sliding sash windows fitted which have made the contacts unsuitable. I was thinking of replacing them with vibration detectors but noticed that some have LED's. I assume this means that they need a power source to operate - the same as the wiring for a PIR detector. Are non-powered vibration detectors available or will I have to rewire with 8 core in order to maintain my zone separation? Thanks for any help…

I bought a Visonic TOWER-20AM MCW Outdoor Motion Sensor on your web site in November 2012 and I had 4 false errors in the last 2 days. The message that I received on my phone each time is IRP MASKED ! First time I was home and nobody was outside in the Sensor area. The Sensor worked fine for more than 6 month and nothing change on the configuration. I don’t know what to do, could you please help me with that or explain me who can help me ?

Hi, We have one a 'Gardtec 800' system installed in a premises in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland. We need to order a new Keypad for the system, as the display is not functioning correctly. It is a 6 wired keypad. Could you recommend a keypad, or would it be best to completely replace the control box and keypad panel? If we could get your advise on the above it would be much appreciated.

Hi Does anybody know if the external sounder in the Pyronix Enforcer Kit3, ENF/KIT3-UK, needs a power supply? It looks as though it is just battery powered from the description. I know some of the other Pyronix sounders require power when they are lit after dark. Can anyone confirm please? Thanks

I have a 10 year old Veritas R8 Plus Control Panel. I would like to add a Veritas Excel RKP (the one with the LCD display). I can see from the Texecom website that the two should be compatible. My question is whether the RKP will be compatible with a control panel which is as old as mine (ie I am worried that there has been a software update or some other change made since my panel went into service which is needed to control the Veritas Excel RKP). The light and red but no alarm on the alarm. I have checked the jumper everything is good. I have the problem on three sensors M 12 is really weird is it not?

The Honeywell Galaxy alarm panel has a facility to send text message when alarm is triggered showing which sensors have been activated. If we connect a speech dialer will it disable this text service - To a private number.

hi i have just purchased a new house, it has this alarm system fitted ADE LOGIC SIX it is live and the passives appear to be working however i am unable to find a key pad, or key fob, to set the alarm , do you supply spare key fobs ? and are they easy to pair with the alarm fitted in my house ? any information would be a great help

I purchased a Aritech 4 zone analyser from your company to find it does not work correctly i.e you can bang on the window HARD around 20 times and the analyser will only just trigger and that is on max sensitivity. 2nd i never got instructions with the unit just wiring diagram and also your advert on your website tells you so many things that this unit will do but clearly it wont like pulse count adjustment and LED indicator.
