I am contacting you because I have a problem on Menvier detectors M12

 

I wanted to test the outbreak with a hairdryer and the contact does not open.

 

The light and red but no alarm on the alarm.

 

I have checked the jumper everything is good.

 

I have the problem on three sensors M 12 is really weird is it not?

Firstly, you have mentioned having problems with three M12 detectors. To Menviers knowledge and/or customer feedback, there is no outstanding problem with this device.

 

With regards to your queries:-

 

I wanted to test the outbreak with a hairdryer and the contact does not open.

 

The hairdryer would only have an effect on the M12, if it was set as a heat detector. Ideally, a proper smoke tester (or smoke can) should be used.

 

The light and red but no alarm on the alarm.

 

If the LED is glowing red, but the alarm is not responding, check resistances or view circuits in the test menu of the alarm panel.

 

I have checked the jumper everything is good.

 

The M12 can operate in four different modes. Check the dipswitches’ are set up for exactly the type of detection you require.
