Hi, have wired up system as should be, have all cct returns, bell tamper, PA and global tamper returns as should be. But on powering up all the RKP is showing is software version 4.00. Have depowered and shorted out NVM & kick start pins and tried again but just stays the same.

Trying to install Honeywell AG6 to Galaxy Flex Panel. There is no instructions for Galaxy flex, but forGalaxy 2 series it says: TR- to T (I put this to T-) V- to 0V ST- to "Any Output programmed as Bell#" V+ to +12V S- to "Any Output programmed as Bell" Both ST- and S- to output bell? Same bell output? Or how should I wire?

I'm looking to buy an additional keypad for my current Accenta 8. The current RKP is the 8EP219 which is now obsolete. Does anyone know whether the 8EP416 will work with this. The Smartset will work using PTS but I'd like a Keypad. Looking at the 8EP416 it looks to only be compatible with the G3 and G4, as too does the new LCD keypad. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I am almost there.. a few questions left. I am looking for a down to earth intruder alarm system for my house. My electrician will fit it. I think this ADE accenta will do. I am looking for a small external sounder. Is the Eurosec XS3D a good option? I would like to order the one with the orange bottom, so which items do I have to order? As I want to add a speech dialler in the future is it right that the only one ADE panel which supports this function is the ADE accenta metal Gen4? Or does the other models this as well? Which battery should go with this metal ADE accenta? My electrician wired 4 core wires to the PIRs. Is that OK for standard PIRs? If so wh…

  7. Started by Secware,

i'm sorry but yesterday i received your ex-35r optex detectors and, comparing with mine, i discovered that inside my detector there is one more transmitter, probably compatible with my General Electric "Simon" alarm. here you can see the manual (in italian) of my "Simon": http://www.hesa.com/index.php?page=shop.getfile&file_id=658&product_id=515&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=37 in this manual it is written that Simon works with any "autolearning" detector SX ITI at 433Mhz. if you want, i would like to send you a picture to show the transmitter that is inside, and if you have it i can purchase, or if you have detectors compatible with my alarm system …

  10. I recently purchased a Honeywell galaxy G2K3WR-01-C and ADE Honeywell 8IR103 PIR. I require some technical support for wiring the Activ8 detector (ADE Honeywell 8IR103 PIR). I have the usual manual which comes with the panel and the detector but it is not that clear. I am simply putting one detector per zone and resistors at the detector end. I which to know where the resistors are actually connected to and where cables are connected to. Would you be able to assist please? Also, can you advise what speech dialler would I need for this system please ?

  11. I installed a system a year ago which I purchased from you and it seems to have developed a fault. Initially when a walk test was done it wouldnt identify some of the zones and then removed the cover from the unit and I cannot get rid of the cover tamper warning so cannot set the system. Do you think the control unit has gone U/S. steve

  12. I have purchased a Castle Euro Mini. The box only contained a control panel and the main alarm panel.. I would like to purchase 3 PIRs and 2 door sensors plus a battery and a bell box. There are so many on your website. Please advise the best for my system. Is it possible to also fit a call sender?

  13. Started by voulco,

I'm new to this forum and although I tried to read several posts I'm not sure if I came across this topic. I'm thinking of buying the G2-44 for domestic use. On deciding which wired Motion Detectors to choose I'd like your opinion on which brand: Would you advise to stick with Honeywell products (such as the DT 7550A) or would other products such as Rokonet iWise DT15, Pyronix FPKX15DT3, Bosch TriTech, etc will do a better job and fit better with the system? I'm open to suggestions... Thanks!

I am looking for a recommendation for a wireless single channel transmitter and receiver to be used as a PA button. The receiver would be wired to a Scantronic 9651. Would I be right to think the Visonic MCR-304 is now obsolete?

Considering a small/medium residential installation, 9 to 16 zones. Want to be notified by phone when there's a problem so I want notificcation by PSTN (and GSM probably via an external dialler). Feature list for the Eurosec CPX shows "speech dialler capability

  16. Started by Secware,

It keeps sounding at random times, with no tamper fault and no error message on the control panel. The problem seems to lie with the sounder only.

  18. Hi, I need support with my powermax plus control panel, I have had my system working fine for around 11 months. I am having trouble disarming the system with the panels keypad, i get to 3 digits and then it just beeps. I have changed the code and it is still happening. All the buttons seem to work fine and i can disarm ok with the keyfob. Can you provide a solution or where i need to go for help? Or do i need a replacement panel? Many Thanks

  19. Started by phlize,

When fitting a Scantronic 9651 panel recently I noticed it had a rechargeable battery soldered onto the PCB. I guess this is to maintain settings it case of total power failure/disconnection. Does this have a design life of 5 years like most other re-chargeables?? If so it doesn't look like it was designed to be easily replaced. And how would you know it needed replacing anyway - until it's too late? Phil.

  20. I am also looking for an internal siren. Would you be able to recommend one suitable for a three bedroom house?

  22. I would like to replace the motion detector on this very old Scantronic 9200 system. Can you recommend one that is compatible?

  23. Started by andrew h,

I am looking at the few control panels and have a few queries which I hope you can assist with. Install is for detached 5 bed house. Suggestions are: - Texecom Veritas R8 Plus - Scantronic 9651EN - Pyronix Sterling 10 1. Believe all are grade 2 but not entirely clear. Is this correct? 2. All seem to be 8 zone but with the Sterling it has an additional dedicated PA zone. I am correct that on the others would need to allocate 1 of 8 zones for PA? 3. Last install a few years back was a Pyronix Paragon which we had no problems with. Is the new Sterling of similar quality to the Scantronic and Texecom which seem to be a lot more popular? 4. Assume all ha…

Hi, From forums and even neighbors I hear that The Securitywarehouse is in fact the only place to get an alarm system at a reasonable price. Only the quantity of the products creates some confusion with me, therefore I would like some advice. I am looking for an alarm system to install in my house next to my home automation system. As I see on your website I have the choice over various systems. My concern however is that all components are compatible with each other. I am looking for the following: A hybrid central unit (wired and wireless) with battery. 3 wired keypads 5 PIR detectors (both infrared and microwave) with pet immunity. (wired…

  25. Started by coolcreen,

I have just purchased a Honeywell Accenta Gen4 intruder alarm. While the installation manual is reasonably good, the wiring of the internal sounder is unclear. My old alarm had an internal siren connected in parallel with the strobe light in the external bell box. The internal siren is polarity conscious in that it must be wired up the correct way. No problem so far. I suppose I could connect it in the same was as it was fitted in the previous installation, but it doesn't seem quite right, When I look at the installation, it does not make any reference to an internal siren/sounder, but it does make reference to an extension speaker (16 ohms) that may be connected across…
