Hi, System ADE Poly Gen4 with LCD keypad Is there any way in which I can permanently enable the LCD and Keypad backlight on the Accenta Gen4 LCD Keypad. The current default state is that they illuminate for about 30 secs following a keypress. My previous ADE system (LED Keypad) had backlit buttons on all the time which I found quite helpful. Bob

Hi was wondering if anyone could help, I've just installed my first visonic powermax complete intruder system and I have a problem with the wireless siren. What seems to happen is I enrol the siren using the selftest button and it operates normally then after a couple of days the siren doesn't sound under an alarm condition and seems to totally drop of the system. I'm now wondering if it's a dud battery or a possible pcb fault. I've tried using the diagnostic function to check and keep getting the (not ok) message and I've also measured the battery and it seems fine but I'm not sure if the draw is dragging it down once connected. If anyone can help it would be much apprec…

  3. Hi I am new to wiring up alarm systems and have 2 SC550/WH door contacts to add into a Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 system. There are no instructions for wiring the 6 connectors on the contacts. I assume the middle two are for the tamper. Where do the power and relay connect?

  4. I Purchased a Galaxy Dimension panel last week. It didn't come with an installation or programming manual.I have found some information on line. But need a few answers if possible. What are the external bell box connections? What are the internal sounder connections? I have the system operating with a few detectors and the system has 1 fault which is because it does not have a telephone connection. Can this facility be turned of as I don't need this facility at the moment? If not what is the best way to clear this fault so the system has no faults and is usable.

Hi I am a newbie here, I had an older alarm panel and as the PIR's were rubbish I replaced all the PIR's with new Bosch ones, but the control panel tamper sensors have had it so now I need a new control panel. I would really like to fit a door contact or virbration sensor to the rear patio doors but it would be a real pain to get a cable to it. Are there any wireless panels that could accept wired and wireless sensors? I am happy with all the other sensors I have so I don't want to install a complete wireless system. Thanks for your help Chris

  10. I was wondering if you could help me? I am looking at this gsm module as a means of contact me. I have no telephone landline at the premises I want to install this and I need something that will phone me like a mobile phone and not just send text messages as this would not work, due to hearing a text message at night. Also how many numbers can be stored/programmed into the module?

I am comparing the Galaxy Dimension with the G2-20 and G2-44 panels. Somewhat ironically, I cannot find the dimensions of the Dimension control panel box. Do you have this information (assume the GD-48 if other variants are larger)? And can the the inputs on all three panels (G2-20, G2-44 and GD-48) be expanded through adding a card into the main control panel box or is it necessary to fit another box? Thanks Tim

  17. We recently purchased a system which includes 2 x Pyronix Deltabell and a honeywell ADE GEN4 metal system. When reading the Pyronix data sheet it states that the bell trigger to the Deltabell must not be in paralled ( ie from one output ) two outputs must be used. The problem is I dont think the GEN 4 panel has a second bell output terminal, or have i missed it? As the deltabell is class 3 we have to install a resistor (4k7) from the +ve to the bell trigger ( to give it aprox 2v or above during normal mode ). With one deltabell this works fine. How should I connect the other deltabell? would a solution be to install a 2K resistor in place of the 4K7 and set both bells t…

I can quick arm by pressing the Area button on the way out. I can also quick part arm by pressing eg 1 then Part or 2 then Part. This is all great and makes it very convenient to use. But.... If the system has been set to part arm overnight, someone comes downstairs and unarms it by typing user code. Then we leave the house and press Area to quick arm whole house. The system seems to "remember" that the last arming was part arm, and so even though we press Area for whole arm, it then sets a part arm. Pressing Reset a couple of times before Area seems to do the trick but is a pain when you forget. Maybe there is an option that I can't see in the prog…

  21. Do you stock the additional PIR for the Electronics Line Infinite Wireless Kit, if so at what cost?

  22. Started by Eggy,

Just installed my 1st panel (in my own place)!! All seems to have gone ok but I'm wondering what to use for the "loop" connections between tamper wires. I've got 8 zones to link and "choc block" (aka terminal strip) seems a bit excessive. What have you used?

  23. Started by Lakes_Puma,

I have an Accenta G3 alarm with two unused zones and would like to extend the alarm into my garage with is inbuilt. There is a single wall (thermal block) between the garage and the location of the alarm panel. I would like to fit a door sensor and a PIR and also fit a very loud sounder in the garage. I have some basic door contact switches and have been looking at one of the 4 way 'sound bomb' sounders. Would these be suitable? what PIR type would I need there are no appliances in the garage. Also is there a cage available for the sounder as I wouldn't want someone to be able to just whack it with a broom handle to silence it? Any help appreciated…
