I installed an I-on40 and two keypads, KP-01. I had a problem earlier in the year whereby the keypads beep indicating 'Duplicate Entry.' I tried replacing the keypads with a spare, but this did not resolve the issue. I had thought that it might be caused by line termination, so I changed that. It worked for several months, with one terminated and the other unterminated, but the 'Duplicate Entry'; has returned. KP1 is located about 1 meter away from the I-on40; KP2 is located about 10 meters away. KP1 is set to address 4; KP2 to address 2. The error occurs whether I try setting or unsetting the I-on40 either manually, by typing in the code, or by using a fob.

I bought the visonic kp-160 from securitywarehouse along time ago. (Over 1 ago) I been waiting for a new firmware update since then for the kp-160. In sweden the kp-160 can handle both manuel type code and tags for over 1 year with a new firmware. When will this firmware be avalible on the uk versions of kp-160. Kp-160 is pretty useless when i cannot type code on it, i thought that could be done when i order it.

We have an old Scantronic 4600 alarm and want to be able to remotely set and unset the alarm. Do you sell a remote control device that will allow us to do this? We have a Scantronic 4605 UK-55 remote device but this seems to be able to set the alarm but not unset it which is a pain!

I was thinking about additional shock or contact protection for UPVC french doors in the kitchen at the back of the house. I'll have a PIR covering the kitchen area already, it's only a small one, but was thinking about something like the Viper GLX contacted sensor. I know that obviously shock sensors work better/best on a wooden framed doors/windows and obviously UPVC frames are affected by heat expansion etc. What are you thoughts on it, would you recommend it? Or just stick with contacts instead. Thanks in advance.

We have an 8 year old 4-channel SD1 unit in a holiday home in France that has recently stopped dialling out. The other functions (message record/test playback etc) appear to work. When you send a test call (put into ready & press A1 for instance) it immediately plays back the correct message over the internalspeaker 4x but does not appear to wait to detect the dialing tone, or phone out. The adjacent spurred 56V socket works with normal phone and 56V detected at SD1 phone input terminals i.e. probably not supply problem. From listening on the line it appears be trying to pulse dial (it used to tonedial) but forcing tone via phonenumber T-prefix makes no difference nei…

I have a PowerMAx complete wireless alarm system installed in the house. I was wanting to add an additional wireless siren (the system can handle a maximum of 2). I already have the MCS -740 wireless alarm and was hoping to purchase the wired version of this alarm, the MCS-730AC. Can you check for system compatibility. The version number of the panel is: JS702159 B.17.107 JS700421 V.1.0.02

Looking to fit a low cost wire alarm into a small 2 bed house. Need 2x door contacts, 2 PIR and 1 sounder. Ideally I would prefer a seperate small keypad, as there is little room in the hall for the panel, and would like to add in 2 smoke detectors. Price is key, could anyone recommend a panel or kit.

Good morning I wondered if you could help, we have fitted a ali door to a business which has a Chubb alarm system, and the Chubb engineer has said the below. "The lock or keep needs to have an integral micro switch contact on it to provide electrical connections. Giving common, normally open and normally closed options for the connection onto the alarm" I could really use some help with this from someone who knows, I do have pictures of the door if i can send them across to you. Wondered if you had i stock or could get what i need, Thank you

I am looking to replace my current alarm system with a new modern system. One of my main requirements is to allow remote access to the system, and so I am looking at the Scantronic i-on 40. Although all of my sensors are wired the wireless capability will be handy if I have to upgrade in the future. I also require SMS messaging through GSM and PSTN so would be looking to also install these modules as well as one extra wireless keypad. My main concern at the moment is how the wired sensors and PIRs are connected to the i-on 40 system to ensure it will work with my current installation. Can you provide any information as to how the zones are wired on the system, or are …

I have an old (broken) Honeywell optima system and want to replace it with a new control panel, remote keypad, upgrade to the PIR sensors that are both microwave and I.R. and also have SMS alerts when there is an event, so I was looking at your website and saw you have a *lot* of things... just wanted to chat about what solution you could recommend. (I'm in the north west)
