[Ticket Question] Galaxy G2 20

Featured Replies

Hi. Do you know if there is a known bug in Galaxy G2 20 alarm such that after an AC Fail it can only be reset by Engineer. Mine offers Manager Rest Required but this does not work and I have to use the Engineer login. Checked the forum but could not find any relevant info. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for replying.

System info is Galaxy G2 - 12, V1.44. I've no idea if that is old or not. Was an ADT install and maintained so could be running ADT custom firmware.

I may have found the issue as talking to Honeywell and it sort of clarifies poor information in the Install Information.

For the info / help to others then I set the system up as:

User 01 : code - LVL3 (supposedly manager level)

User 02 : code - LVL3 (supposedly manager level)

Master : code

Engineer : code

So after the AC Power Fail I entered User 01, Events, Enter, ESC to be told Manager Reset Required. But LVL3 is supposed to be Manager authorised.

Thinking OK this may be wanting another 'Manager / LVL3' instead I did User 02, Events, Enter, ESC to be told Manager Reset Required.

Honeywell advised that LVL3 is supposed to be Manager as well but some Events will require MASTER.

Clearly IMHO having designed kit (military & commercial and written the install, test, service and user manuals) the Honeywell G2 Install manual does not clearly define the differences of Manager vs Master. If the AC fail event required MASTER to clear it should not say Manager on the keypad / console.
