I purchased a SD 3 dialler off you approximately 3 years ago. It has recently stopped dialling out when the alarm has been activated. I checked the Sim card in a mobile phone and I was able to make calls from the phone, to double check I also bought a new sim card which again worked in my mobile phone but would not dial out from the SD 3. In the LCD display , next to the temperature there is a small box with a letter T in it. The sim card I use is a Tesco pay as you go, signal strength is the same as usual. I have tried to do a test call from the dialler and it failed with the message call error. When I have dialled in remotely the sim goes straight to answer phone , I wa…

I have a Securit 800L+ alarm panel. Fitted by the housebuilder. I need to remove the alarm panel for building work. It would appear the siren is a Self Contained Bell or a Self Activating Bell. When I disconnect the mains and the internal 12v lead acid battery the siren goes off. Would keeping the siren -Ve and +Ve at 9v to 12v keep the siren from sounding.? I have the installation manual for the alarm but I do not have any details of the siren box fitted.

I have an Infinite Prime Alarm System installed. The alarm system has a PSTN module which I want to setup.I intend to run a two wires (blue/white and white/blue) from the master socket to the micro filter marked ‘from VDSL Line’.The two ‘OUT’ wires marked ‘To Modem’ would go to the two terminals on the PSTN module. Is this correct? Is the PSTN module performing like a modem? I do apologise for my lack of ignorance regarding the function of a PSTN module. Thanks

Hi, we have constructer a community hall with aluminium windows and doors. Do you have a door and window sensor which can be wired into the building security alarm or wireless which can be concealed in the frame? The Client does not like surface mounted door alarm sensors.

I am replacing an old system which is armed on exit using a shunt lock, I require a similar wired system. As we have a number of keyholders we prefer the final lock to arm / disarm the system in preference to a keycode

I live in UK , but have a holiday home in Spain ,and need an intruder alarm ( that doesnt need a landline ) to notify me of a trigger to my mobile phone .I dont really have any permanently resident and reliable close neighbours to act as a keyholder or lookout . A sound bell/siren would not be of help or long term deterant . Need ideas of a suitable system , and outline costs .

Hi, i purchased the simpleset reader with a G4 accent mini system in November 2009. I installed the system in January all worked great with 2 keypads and the simpleset at the front door exit point. This morning my wife set the alarm with the keyfob and returned 30 minutes later went to unset the alarm and it would not work.It just has a power on light and nothing else. All other aspects are fine and have tried a number of trouble shooting tests but its useless. Reading the forums, someone has had the same fault with a new item. Is the item under a 12 month warranty/replacement? We now cannot use the alarm which is a little worrying! Many thanks for your help.

I want to use 12volt bells as my warning devices but I've been told that they will burn out the microprocessors on modern control panels. Is this just a way for the trade installer to put me off doing it myself or is there any truth in what he's saying.

On 30 April 2015 you delivered my order including Scantronic 9651 + 9943 keypad,, 2 off Guardall PQ15 PIR, plus cable and brackets. I hang my head to admit that I am only now finishing the modification to an existing system for which I ordered the parts. Cause of the change was that the original installer had run one cable to 2 back-to-back PIR, and the cable route was forced in beside central heating pipes etc and seemed to be frequent intermittent giving faults. I have resited one PIR which I replaced with a PQ15, and added an additional PIR to the system. I ran new cable to both PIR. While I was at it, I added a new additional 9943 keypad in the master bedroom (the ca…
