Intruder Alarms

I have a Risco GT 595 and my installer has just gone out of business. I managed to get the engineer access code from him following his demise but this is of little use without an engineer installation manual or support from Risco. Not being a registered installer neither are available from Risco. Can I get these elusive commodities via Security Warehouse? I notice that many Risco products listed on your site are Sold Out with the exception of user manuals. Is there a reason for this unusual demand? hello just purchased this extra vx-402 and I am using it as a slave of another 402.the problem it will not detect a intrusion.it clicks it flashes but no sound to the alarm panel.what am I doing wrong?could the 402 be faulty.

I recently bought 1 x scantronic 768r receiver and 8 x 701reur-50 transmitters which work great with the exception of range failure at a couple of extreme locations on site. will the 794rEUR-00 antenna improve the range or do I need another piece of kit. please advise so I can order the correct parts. many thanks,

I need to connect three smoke detectors to my existing Texecom 48 system. I don't want to run cables back to the panel, so I planned to connect the detectors to an expander, which would be connected to the spare cable sitting in the loft which was already taken back to the panel when the system was installed. I want to avoid using a power supply with the expander if possible. I do not have any other expanders on the system currently. About 14 zones on the Texecom 48 are used. What are the options, and would I be better off running three separate cables from th epanel to the loft? It will be a pain in the a*se mind.

I need to replace a PIR on my 500r+ system. I've got 515r PIR's and notice you've got 520r PIR's "compatible with 500r+" so it looks like that's a reasonable replacement. Can you confirm that it would be a viable replacement, operates on the same frequency etc.

My question is this. Are all the biscuits in an 11-20 blue-pack (as above) the same, apart from the numbered stickers, or is the internal wiring different? I ask because I've just broken a No 20 while attempting to replace a doorbell plate. Can I use another biscuit from the same pack as a replacement, or will this upset my alarm system? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm no expert. I've asked for high-priority because my house alarm is disabled by the problem.

Hi there, I'm trying to source the components for an alarm kit for a building which is divided into two with two separate doors, but ideally one common alarm system. I have worked out that I need - Bellbox (external) - Keypad x2 (RFID/Tag or similar would be great!) - PIR x 3 - Control Box with backup battery - Door contact x 3 - Cable & Clips Would you be able to advise in which products you think would be most suitable?

I am unable to enrol the KP-141 PG2(June2013) to the Power Master 30 alarm system(Nov2012): - Full enrolment procedure: I select the * key on the keypad until the LED turns on and then release the * key. The Power Master 30 alarm system (i.e. Add New Device -> Enrol Now) indicates on its display, "Incompatible Device". - Pre-enrolment procedure: I enter the Id of the device into the Power Master 30 alarm system and it is accepted (i.e. Add New Device -> Enter Id). However, the Power Master 30 alarm system indicates that the keypad cannot be networked.

I purchased a SD 3 dialler off you approximately 3 years ago. It has recently stopped dialling out when the alarm has been activated. I checked the Sim card in a mobile phone and I was able to make calls from the phone, to double check I also bought a new sim card which again worked in my mobile phone but would not dial out from the SD 3. In the LCD display , next to the temperature there is a small box with a letter T in it. The sim card I use is a Tesco pay as you go, signal strength is the same as usual. I have G4 panel with LED remote keypad.I want to make door chime facility louder, do I need to connect another sounder to rkp or back to main panel? RKP is near door which terminals do I use on rkp and/or G4 panel, I already have extra sounder near main panel, close to back door also set to chime, wired to speaker terminals in main panel but this responds to alarm condition and mirrors rkp sounder when alarm activated but when front or back door is opened then I'm only getting usual beep-bo from rkp.Am I using the right connections in main panel?

Hi, We are having false alarm trouble with one sensor in our already installed alarm. We have sensitivity set at the lowest possible level. This GS611 shock sensor with reed switch is mounted horizontally on the top right of an external glass door frame (on the frame not the door) - it is a back door and rarely used. I cannot find (anywhere in the UK/Ireland) that will sell me a replacement, I can get one from the states but shipping is 90$+ (!) is there anyway of turning down the volume of the ADE Honeywell MSN Multi Siren MS-N on the entry & exit of alarm?

I have just installed an Accenta Mini Gen 4. I am using zone 2 on the panel as as inhibited (default setting) when I set the panel it show zone 2 as an error as it detects the operator in the exit zone. The alarm sets ok after you exit the property as the error clears. Upon re-entry zone 2 is inhibited ok as the alarm is not activated. I would have thought that the zone 2 should also be inhibited in the exit mode and not show an error on the panel. Is this correct.

I have a Pyronix sterling10 Panel and RKP and i am changing the bell box for a Gardtec Eurosec XS3D (the triangular one) i have wiring diagrams for both but i an unsure which wires go to where ...Could anyone enlightem me?? ...ie i.e ST- on bell box to NO on panel, TMPR on bellbox to BElLL- on panel etc..
