I have an existing system with a Scantronic 500+ control panel but have no instruction manual. I know the access code but I don't know the engineers code or anything else about it. I have replaced all the batteries in the system but have triggered the Tamper alarm and I don't know how to reset this. If I replace the existing control panel with a new 500+ then: 1. Can I programme this with my own engineer code and entry code ? 2. Can I use my existing PIR's (Type 520r) and keypad (Type524r) ? 3. Does the instruction manual contain all the information I need to do the above ? 4. Is there a simpler solution to my problem ? Thanks in anticipation of some good advi…

bought a complete system buy you. Now I have a configuration issue. The alarm triggers directly when I enter, now entry delay is active. I have chosen 1. Exit/entry delay 1 for door contact and 3. home e/e for motion sensor in hallway. Is this correct? I want to be able to have Home zone active without triggering the alarm (except when door is opened). Should I choose antoher zone type for motion sensor in hallway?

Hello I have an Ademco Vista, I need to replace it. We have a 4 bed house, probably about 7 PIR's. What kind of system can I put in to replace it? I'm not sure what type the bell box is, maybe you can deduce that from the panel name. Currently connected to the Vista is receiver and speaker which is used with a IR/Radio keyfob to arm/disarm. Ideally we'd like to replace that with a similar system, and additionally put in a dialler. Regarding diallers, is there a DECT version, our phone line is not next to the panel? Cheers Andrew

Can the Galaxy Flex 20 alert me directly via PSTN or the optional GSM board, or can it only signal to an ARC?

Recently installation of a galaxy flex and looking to put Ethernet module A083-00-01 into it On looking at the other flex systems they are all in plastic boxes with the RF Portal as a seperate card inside this flex is in a metal box. Honeywell Flex 20 Small Metal Box- C005-S-E1 & as seperate RF Portal -C079-2 Does anyone know if the Ethernet module can be used within this flex? Thanks

Hi, Forgive me if this is very obvious, but I am new to wired alarms and just want to confirm in case all goes wrong... We purchased the Castle Euro Mini alarm from you recently, we are looking at installing it but had a query, if we want to wire more sensors than we have inputs in the unit, can we wire them in parallel in the same way you would wire the Tamper circuit in double pole wiring? then if so, is there a limit or recommended maximum for sensors and cable lengths etc? Our other question, due to it's position, we purchased a duplicate genuine alarm box (not a dummy). should these be wired in together to the same terminals or is there another way? …

Hi, I am having part of my garage converted into a small room with access only from a outside door. I would like to add this room to my 9448+ by adding a new zone. Can I add a door switch, movement sensor and extra keypad to this system? also I would like to set the alarm for this room at all times even when we are in, however we part set the alarm at night arming the downstairs zones. Would it be possible to part set the alarm and the new zone or will I have to manually omit the upstairs zones at night leaving the downstairs and the new room armed?

I have installed this panel as a direct replacement to an older veritas excel panel as such 5 x pir, 2 x external sounders & 2 x smoke sensors are configured as previous eol set up ie 2 resistors in the sensors. I had a functional premier elite rkp to hand and have installed this with the new system. I cannot get the system to set up properly, it displays system alerts for the panel lid tamper etc even though the panel lid id closed securely as well as tamper faults for 2 of the 5 pirs, i cannot see any wiring faults and am now thinking this may be a panel fault, can you give me a little guidance please. can anyone provide list of kit for easy install and use of intruder alarm kit using tel communicator eg Informa speech dialler, key fob set/unset,can these things be used with control panel with onboard keypad if so which one and are they also compatible with each other.thanks jw

I had some difficulty with the, Honeywell Reson8 Bell Box during install at the weekend, i could not get SCB functionality to work, i initially thought the wiring may be damaged so i took the box to the control panel with a short cable and tried again, to no avail, the circuit on the sounder does not seem to react when the spring is depressed, and the case is shut. and the Green Indicator does not come on at any point. I have managed to use the sounder as sounder and strobe only, but wondering if there is anything else i can do to resolve, as the customer would like the lights on the sounder to flash and show the box is live.

Hi! Bought a Visonic Powermax+ alarm from you and have run into some problems regarding master installer code and installer code. The problems shows on both the central unit and the keypad unit. When I installed the alarm, I (of course) changed the default codes to my own. However, as far as I can remember I only changed 2 codes where off one being the user code and the other one either the master installer or the installer code. Now I can't seem to access the alarm using the other alternative of installer codes. I would be glad if you could give me some hints to where I've gone wrong. Yesterday, I tried to plug the 8XE internal zone expander on my Premier 24, but it failed: the flash programming connector is longer than the expander support pillars. So it is not possible to clip the pillars. I can make photos if you need to better understand the issue. Please advise. Thanks! i was thinking that i could use some wire and connect the auxiliary input of MC-302E PG2 with a outdoor PIR sensor but i don't know if this could be done.I was thinking of the OPTEX BX80 NR (maybe if it fits i install the MC302E PG2 inside the BX80NR)cause i can't imagine a way to have my balcony covered (12x2,4m) with the TOWER 20AM PG2. Do you think i could do such a thing? or what other option i have to cover this area with Visonic compatible product ?
