[Ticket Question] Is this Informa faulty?
securitywarehouse replied to securitywarehouse's topic in Intruder Alarms
Please give our Technical Staff time to look at your ticket and answer your query. The link you have provided was not concluded as the member didn't respond to our Technical Staff. We will be happy to sort this matter out for you and if Technical deem the item to be faulty, append a message to your original ticket, check the reopen on reply box and send it back to us. We will then pass the ticket to our Returns Team, who will organise a replacement for you. -

My internal sounder registered fine with the domonial control panel, and on viewing through engineering mode always registers a high signal (7/10) However, whenever I set (full or part) the alarm, typically every other time I get the 'INT SOUNDER RADIO LINK' error. I've configured the system to ignore these errors and set regardless without requiring confirmation - but my worry is there is a fault which might mean the sounder does not go off in case of intrusion. Last week I tried changing the batteries (on the off-chance the batteries supplied were low given the packaging was open), but this did not solve the problem. The positioning of the sounder is very close to the control panel, and closer than several PIRs and the external sounder, which makes me convinced the positioning is not an issue. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Have just received a number of GJD Mini opal PIR's and in each box is a bag containing 4 plastic items. No where in the instructions does it refer to these parts as far as I can see. They do seem to fit in the hole in the back of the sensor where the tamper switch is. There are 3 similar part each with a different length. They may be to waterproof the device but it's not obvious. The fourth piece I've no idea where it's meant to go.

I am looking to replace my current alarm system with a new modern system. One of my main requirements is to allow remote access to the system, and so I am looking at the Scantronic i-on 40. Although all of my sensors are wired the wireless capability will be handy if I have to upgrade in the future. I also require SMS messaging through GSM and PSTN so would be looking to also install these modules as well as one extra wireless keypad. My main concern at the moment is how the wired sensors and PIRs are connected to the i-on 40 system to ensure it will work with my current installation. Can you provide any information as to how the zones are wired on the system, or are you able to provide me with a copy of the installation manual prior to purchase?

We have recently ordered the 3K1S from your online store. We then noticed the next item (3K1S-DC). I think we may of needed to order the last item. Could you explain the difference? It would appear to be a different PSU supplied? We just need a wall mountable PSU to power the Videx door intercom and also a door release. I assume the item we have ordered is for a DIN rail and we just need a wall mountable PSU?

I purchased 2 M12 smoke detectors from you, which I wish to use with the Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 security system. The engineers manual shows 2 wires, to a smoke detector with a relay base for output to intruder system. On the M12 do I use the 0v +12v terminals or the fire zone?
