  1. Started by Secware,

I'm look for some shock sensors (to be fitted to window frames) preferably wired and that work with DSC PC range. I was looking at the Aritech GS612 but I've not had much joy with it albeit the door sensor with magnet works fine.

  2. I have a customer who is after adding a wireless keypad onto a Texacom Premier 24 (wired) system. I was under the impression that this was not possible without replacing the panel and all accessories (PIRs, Contacts etc) completely. Could you please advise me if there is a product whereby I can add a wireless keypad to this system

Hello there i recently purchased some optex -70 sensors from yourself for replacement of the obsolete optex 100 plus ones. On going to install them I found that the old ones have more wires eight as the new 70 ones only have six. So I was looking to see if there is a way to convert the old ones to the new

  5. I need to replace the battery in my Scantronic 9651, but can't find this on your website. Please advise the name of the battery.

  6. My question is why does the battery fuse blow every time I connect the battery? The battery is being connected the right way round. I disconnect the battery, change the fuse and reconnect the battery - the fuse blows. I've been doing this with the mains power on, so not to activate the siren. Is the battery or control panel faulty, or do I need to completely power down before changing the fuse (I can't see how this would change anything)?

Hi. I'm trying to find a light beam sensor to work on a driveway, to send a signal to my house when a vehicle or person breaks the beam. Can be hard-wired or wireless - the location is about 120m from the house - the back entrance to a farm. I think you must do such devices but I can't see them online.

  9. Good morning, we are just finalising our new warehouse and need a beam system that can be put across the main shutter door that will play an audible alert if anyone enters the warehouse. Could you please advise what equipment we would require

  10. I have a Optima XL4 Alarm that needs the external bell box needs replacing, could you please tell me if any of the Honeywell alarm boxes you stock are compatible with the above alarm panel.

  11. Started by Secware,

I'm wanting to buy a Bosch ISM-BLD1-P burglar alarm sensor, to replace a non-pet friendly sensor that is currently installed- it is a pain to keep pets out of that particular room. (The rest of the house is covered by existing ISM-BLD1-P's). The webpage mentions that there are different microwave frequencies that the detector can operate at, with each different frequency variant having a different letter at the end of the product code (F1, F3 or F4). Are you able to advise which frequency I am likely to require- are these different units? I can't find any mention of microwave frequency in any of the documentation for my current system.

  12. Hi, I am installing a Honeywell G2-20 alarm system at my home. I currently have two iWise 800QG3 movement sensors and am looking at installing an additional four to the system. I am considering purchasing the following detectors. https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/bosch-blue-line-gen-2-bld2-pet-tritech-blueline-detector-p-2392.html I understand TriTech is the best class of motion sensor to reduce false alarms. Is this sensor recommended or would you recommend something else? Any advice is much appreciated. Kind regards,

  15. Started by Secware,

I purchased a Honeywell Accenta Metal Gen4 Control Panel and Viper GLX Shock Sensors from you a couple of years ago (Order #16133). I am only getting around to installing the alarm system now and I have a query which I hope you can answer. Before I bought the house, part of the house had already been pre-wired with 4-core alarm cable. One of the pre-wired zones at the rear of the house is wired with 4-core cable and the sensor points are linked in series, i.e. the alarm circuit and tamper circuit are both linked in series. The cables to each sensor are connected under a tiled floor, so the junction box is impossible to access without breaking tiles. As the sensor loca…

  16. I am a building contractor with a number of sites in operation. I am interested in the GJD GSM Autodialler or Pyronix V2 GSM. Can these products be used as standalone alarm units. Can PIRs be connected directly to this unit or do I have to integrate this with an alarm control panel?

  21. Do you stock GS611, or GS711, or any similar shock sensor that works with analyser mod, preferably with integrated reed switch, in brown? All I see in the online store is in white.

  22. Hi, hoping you can help. Following a recent burglary thought I'd try and fix my alarm system! I've currently got a 12 year old Optima system that doesn't really work. Wondering if a new battery would fix it, or should I simply replace the unit with an upgrade? I have a number of wired sensors around the home, not sure if I should replace or keep? External sounder may also need an upgrade, as well as placing an additional box on the front of the house, not sure if I should fit a dummy box,or wire in an additional sounder? Added consideration, I would like to alarm my garage, thought I could use old box? but would need door sensors x 3, as birds get in etc. I'm basically wo…

  23. I have purchased the Powermax+ from you last year. Am redoing the electrics in my place and rolling electrics to my cabin. Was wondering how I can connect my cabin to this alarm. Is there a way of connecting a PIR via a cable?
