Intruder Alarms

Hello, I am planning on getting a new intruder alamr panel. My accenta g4 is not as reliable as you may think. With the dan thing making a buzzing noise thru the speakers, display going funny, LEDs flickering and as many other faults you could think of! I am planning on buying a scantronic 9448 control panel (the control box with 1 RKP). I have 5 current intruder ones (1 panic), 1 fire and one spare. Is it possible to have a fire alarm zone on this unit? And once I fit it, will I need an engineer code? Im presuming it starts with 7 and ends in 0. I wont put the whole code on here to save any problems. I also would like to know if it is programmed with …

Hi looking to fit logic 6 to my house and i need 5 pir i was looking at the bosch ones one of those is for my garage and 1 door contact. will this all work together or would recomend a diffrent control unit? hope to hear from you soon i would like to order today thaks Dan

I recently purchased a Scantronic 9651 alarm control unit from Security Warehouse; I installed the unit but when I initialised it, it came up with \'Zone Flt\' on all 8 zones; this error is not included in the insstallation manual. I need to speak with someone to establish if the unit is faulty.

I have an Accenta Mini 8 G3 alarm system. I need a new key pad. The original one 8EP219 I am told is out of date and been replaced with 8EP416. Can I change the keypad to the new one with no problems or is there likely to be compatability issues?

I purchased a system from you some time ago and I am now ready to install following house extension. The programming guide for using the TCU refers to an "engineers code", can you advise where I find this.

Hi. I need to replace my Pyronix Enforcer wireless system outdoor Siren (leds have failed) and wanted to make sure that the newer Databell WE module with the new Varta battery’s is comparable with my set-up before I order. Running software v10.

Hi I have bought a new remote fob for my Scantronic 500r+ alarm system. I have managed to get the system to "learn" the new remote but the new remote will not set my alarm. Can anyone help?

I have installed the gen4 alarm and then have just bought a extra keypad to add on to the system. I had a led keypad which I have know used up stairs,and the new keypad is a LCD which is down stairs. do you have to stick to just led keypads or can you mix led with LCD. when I wired it in it blew the fuse on the board and the battery fuse blew,I replaced the fusees and the transformer got rely warm,also came up with tamper fault lockout on keypad.I then disconnected the led keypad,and left the new LCD keypad connected to the system.the system now has no power to it,but still works on the battery power.have checked the wiring several times through the process but cant ex…

I have been recalculating and it seems that the Galaxy G2 wireless starter is is a very good deal. The kit is about the price of the sensors and the keyprox. which means I would get the panel + RF portal for free. Am I missing something here? If I want a Dimension 48 wireles started kit it seems I would better buy the wireless G2 kit + a separate GD 48 panel. Also if you cam me me a better deal for a GD 48 + MK7keyprox + 3wireless PIR + 6 wireless door contacts + 4 prox's + 2way switch I would like to hear that too. PS. Can I dial/log in remotely (PSTN/Ethernet) with the dimension?

I have fitted a wired intruder alarm system within my house and wonder if you could confirm I can install a wireless detector in an external building with a wireless receiver next to and connected to the wired system panel. If it is possible could you suggest the equipment I would need. There are spare zones on the wired panel and I would only need one zone on the wireless receiver.

Hi guys, I’m curently using a couple of Texecom RF 360 PIR sensors (from your good selves). I’ve had them in place for several years covering some common hall/landing areas, all good. Last year I got a cat… Even on pulse count=2 these sensors are not pet immune, and as a result I’ve had to stop arming the alarm, otherwise the cat will set off false alarms all the time. ? I need to stick with 360 ceiling mounted sensors as the wiring is in place inside a finished ceiling. I have a little void, so I could potentially change from surface to recessed flush mounting if necessary… Is there such a thing as a pet immune 360 ceiling PIR? would perh…

Hi! I purchased an alarm system, a Viasonic Powermax+, from you in september 2009. Since we have 3 cats (weight 4,2 4,2 and 3,5 kg) I got the pet tolerant PIR:s. Tha alarm has been working perfectly until last night when we all woke up from the sounding alarm. When you wake up at 4 AM from a deep sleep and realize that the alarm you have come to rely on not giving false alarms, is sounding, you get up really quick, I promise. Armed with a knife and a steel pipe I searched the house but found nothing. Since we have a lot of snow I could also check for tracks outside the windows and back door, but nothing. full Texecom Veritas Excel alarm system After a busy couple of weeks I finally got to installing it this morning. I didn't wire the end station to my field devices just yet, I just linked one of the remote keypads to program my own user codes in. Following the manual, I powered with the battery first and the panel powered up for around 30 seconds but then switched back off (I had just disarmed the panel with the default code and was about to enter the programming menu).
