I recently purchased from you a Siemens SPC530.320 alarm panel and Invincibell Plus amongst other compnents My question relates to connecting wiring the Invincibell to the SPC530 panel. In the Invincibell wiring diagram it shows the Bell terminal of the alarm box connected to the bell terminal of teh alarm panel. However on a Siemens SPC530 there is no terminal marked bell so I would like to confirm where the bell terminal of the invincibell should connect to on the Siemens SPC530 SPC ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Com------- NO--------- BHO------ TR------ EX------ EX+------ I also plan…

Hi, I was looking to purchase 8x Menvier SD3 Speech Dialler. I can see this is now obsolete and the replacement is Eaton Universal 4G speech dialler. Our design is based around a PSTN version and we utilise our own PABX system so the BT PSTN switchoff will not be a problem for us. Do you have an alternative that supports a telephone line connection? Regards, Rubel

I am looking for a recommendation for a wireless single channel transmitter and receiver to be used as a PA button. The receiver would be wired to a Scantronic 9651. Would I be right to think the Visonic MCR-304 is now obsolete?

Hi, I'm looking to install an alarm system on a static caravan in an owners only holiday park. I only plan to use internal sounders (quite possibly just concealed speakers in the roof space connected to the panel) as I don't plan on disturbing neighbours in the event of a *prolonged* power outage. These would be close enough to the external vent to be easily heard outside - but also uncomfortable internally and very difficult to access. I'm after advice with regards to the most suitable PIR sensor to use. I'm planning on using a dual tech variant, but need one with a decently adjustable microwave range. Could you recommend one? I'm currently swaying tow…

Hi, I have the task of extending an alarm system to cover a small external cupboard and am after some advice with regards to the type of sensor to use. The cupboard is 3ft wide x 4ft deep x 4ft tall... not huge... it has one of those tubular 45w heaters installed that is nearly permanently on over winter. The cupboard is secured by a heavy duty wooden door and what looks to be a fairly decent lock. The cupboard houses about

I have a client that requires a system with proximity fobs rather than a remote control keyfob. I have been checking existing cabling and conduits in the house and believe that I will be able to hardwire the remote keypads, although I would still like to maintain wireless PIR

Hello SecurityWarehouse I still havent got a bellbox for my system yet (Accenta G4)... I was thinking of getting one that is hardly visible and I wanted quality so I thought of Texecom! I have been looking at their Odyssey's and I think the 4E does just that. On your website, you have the Odyssey 4 and the Odyssey 4E live backplates in either clear or blue. If I was to get a "clear" 4E live backplate will the strobe lens be clear along the outside or blue? Basically the strobe is around the edge of the unit and I would like to know if that wrap around strobe reflector blue or clear? Its just i've seen pictures and some…

Really need some help before I loose all my hair. Trying to set up premier 24 with 4XP expander. No matter which setting I use for the Address switch I can't get the expander to register as installed, just as 1 or 2 extra keypads. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance

HiI have been asked to install/add 2 Texecom AEB-0001 Impaq Plus Shock Sensor to a Scantronic 9448 alarm panel. (18 months old)There are 4 spare zones so that is not a problem, my question is will the 9448 panel support these type of Shock Sensors or could anyone recommend a more suited Shock Sensor?I will be glad to hear if any one thinks the panel is not suitableThankyouRichard

Can i install the com-ip module and com-gsm module together? I have the texecom elite premier 48. (V2.02) I want the com-gsm just to sent sms messages when an alarm occurs. I would like to install the com-ip over wan to use with the ios apps. Is this possible?

  16. Started by a77711,

I'm installing a Texecom Premier Elite system in my house. Looking at the Odyssey X sounders they all have the window for an alarm installer to put their logo. Would this look odd without one? After a some searching I found the Odyssey 5E. This looks better (no insert window!) but perhaps an older model? Are there other boxes that might be better for my DIY use case?

  17. Hi I have just ordered a texecom odyssey 3E bellbox. I was going to buy a 4E but the neighbours strobe is totally invisible in daytime so you cant identify where the irritating wailing originates from unless you live next-door!!! How bright are the strobes on these units? Can I have it so it is powered ONLY from the panel (accenta G4) and not the internal battery? Is any fixing equipment included such as wall plugs etc..? oh and is the strobe LED or xenon??? Has anybody got datasheets for this unit that I could read up on?? Can't seem to find any!

  18. Hope someone can give some help or suggestions. After being broken into earlier in the year, I have finally got round to installing the alarm system that was purchased a couple of months ago. Every thing seems to work, that is after a minor wiring fault on the global system tamper, which turned out to be poor connection on vibration sensor (front door). The problem is the external sounder will not function at all, apart from the tamper circuit. There is definitely power from the control panel and the standby battery has 8 volts. I have tried the trouble shooting instructions in the installation manual, which is make temp connection between SAB B and D for the sound…

Hi Does the Texecom Premier 24 include a remote keypad or is that an extra bit I need to buy?

Hi folks, What size battery would I need for the above Panel? What Texecom smoke detector would you recommend for use in a house? What surface mount door contacts are compatable with this panel? Thanks in advance Chris

Hi all, I have a Texecom Premier 48, to which I am trying to use the Wintex software to program. I am attempting to use my PC modem to connect to the 2400 com modem installed on the panel. However I can not get a connection with my PC to the panel. Has anybody had issues when trying to do this? Thanks.

  22. I want to cennect to my Texecom Premier Elite 24 using Wintex on a laptop connected to the household LAN. Do I need the ComIP at around £107.79? Is the Connect Samrtcom Ethernet & WiFi CEL-0001 at £76.79 still available and would it be an alternative.

Hi, I'm going to replace my existing (faulty) Eurosec CPX alarm and I'm intending on purchasing the Texecom Premier Elite 24-W Kit from you: 1 x Premier Elite 24-W Complete Kit (GED-0013) 5 x Premier Elite Ricochet Impaq (GBB-0001) additional sensors for the windows (impact) and door (using the included magnetic contact) 1 x Premier Com2400 (CEC-0001) for communications I have a few questions though: Will the com2400 fit inside the control box supplied with the above kit? Which backup battery should I purchase for the control panel? Can I use my existing external sounder or should it be replaced with a new Texecom Odyssey Sounder (either wireless Ricochet…

I can quick arm by pressing the Area button on the way out. I can also quick part arm by pressing eg 1 then Part or 2 then Part. This is all great and makes it very convenient to use. But.... If the system has been set to part arm overnight, someone comes downstairs and unarms it by typing user code. Then we leave the house and press Area to quick arm whole house. The system seems to "remember" that the last arming was part arm, and so even though we press Area for whole arm, it then sets a part arm. Pressing Reset a couple of times before Area seems to do the trick but is a pain when you forget. Maybe there is an option that I can't see in the prog…
