Hello I need a little bit of help, I did purchase all the kit from you, my query is, what terminals do I use on my control panel to wire my sounder, Control Panel is a 9651 and the Sounder is a Texecom Odyssey 2. the examples in the installion manual don't refer to this sounder and the print is very small. I have changed the battery in both of my arming stations and now the Homelink 75 does not see them, I have followed the instructions in the Installation & Programming guide, but am currently baffled where it states to activate the tamper switch on the arming station, but where is the tamper switch? I have tried pressing each button, two buttons together, removing the back so as to disconnect the battery, still the panel does not see the arming station. I have checked the battery voltage which is 3v as they are new batteries. None of the arming station lines- 1 to 4 in the display panel has an icon against it. Even my alarm service engineer who had no…

Was wondering if anybody has detail for the Scantronic Plug-in footprint used by the 960? I wanted to hook this speech dialer up to an alarm that does not have the Scantronic footprint. If I could get hold of the spec for the two connectors of the 960 I could then jury rig a connector (or spade terminals) to tease out the 4 standard triggers as well as the line fail signal. I could also take care of any other inputs that need to be dealt with. Any ideas? I've done an extensive web search for detail of the footprint but have not found anything. Thanks John

The Scantronic Sounder External Wired Backplate, SDR-WEXT-G2, installed a few years ago worked perfectly until about a week ago, when I noticed that the 'comfort LEDs' had stopped working. On further investigation the unt does not sound the siren when an alarm condition is triggered, although the internal Scantronic 9651PD does. On opening the external sounder box its cover tamper switch does not trigger the external siren but again it does trigger the 9651PD. On further investigation, the internal battery of the external sounder is fully charged, therefore I suspect the sounder circuit board is faulty. Are replacement circuit boards available for this unit as I don't…

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Scantronic 9651EN-41 (9651 c/w 9941) panel from you. Having now installed it I'm surprised that the transformer in the panel has a noticeable hum/buzz. The problem is that the panel is located in the living room rather than out of the way in the attic or similar. It is where it is because I wanted to do a straightforward replacement for a Menvier stand-alone(ie no RKP) panel that had gone on the blink, with minimum re-wiring. Is this hum/buz normal? The Menvier was totally silent.

Hi, I purchased the above kit from yourselves just over a week ago. I am trying to wire the bellbox to the control panel, however, the connections listed in the Intellisense AG6 leaflet differ from those on the actual PCB. The manual lists TR- V- ST- V+ S- but the PCB has ST R SW V+ V- So can you tell me what to connect to where on the Accenta G4 panel? Regards, Warren

Hi, Just to be sure, how do I wire the SECWARE BCINTRA/W/B to the Texecom Premier 88 panel? Like Texecom - Secware 12V + = 12V + 12V - = 12V - Bell - = ? Tamp = ? Strb - = ? Do I need other connections e.a. strobe to 12V+? And do I need to set some settings in wintex to work? Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I have an old Siemens IC60 panel with 3 wired keypads, 3 wired sensors, plus some wireless stuff (Sensors, Smoke detectors, keyfobs etc..) I also have some z-wave and 433 home automation stuff running under vera edge and domoticz. I am looking to upgrade this to something more modern. My main requirements: - IP connectivity so I can monitor remotely - 3 wired keypads - Images / video on movement when armed - but want to avoid standard IP WIFI cameras inside my home. - Easier to arm / disarm (RFID, keyfobs, Bluetooth proximity etc) - Ability to view video / images without a phone - If I am in bed, and the alarm tr…

Hello, I wonder if you may be able to help. We decided upon the security firm to upgrade our existing alarm as they offered what we thought suited us better than the other three firms wanted to install. However, three weeks later we are thinking maybe we should have used someone else. Just one of the queeries I had, and asked about was the actual calibration of the shock sensors, I was told thay are fine, they work as they are, they don't need any adjustment. I seem to recall many many many years ago seeing an installer spending a good while going through each room calibrating each and every shock sensor, maybe this is not required and technology has moved on…

I have a GC Simon wireless alarm system (model: 60-911-010-4-IE) and one of my door sensors has developed a problem and needs to be replaced. However I am having great difficulty in sourcing a suitable replacement. I did by a recommended replacement from the USA but this did not work. I think because the system I have is 433Mhz and the new sensor was 319Mhz. Can you recommend a replacement sensor and where I may purchase same. Thanks in advance and regards

Hi, Can you advise on a simple and robust wired alarm for a cold and damp Scout hut. I will be installing it myself but I don't expect major problems with that side of things... We need: 5 PIRS 1 key pad 3 door detectors 2 external bells (preferably) 1 dummy box 1 internal sounder and about 200m of cable No need for distinct key codes or anything like that. Thanks

Can anyone recommend a simple wired alarm system with support for maybe 2 door contacts, and 4-6 PIR's. I'd like one with GSM support to SMS me when an alarm event is triggered. Any other fancy features like internet monitoring would be nice, but not necessary. This will be for domestic use - and only used very occasionally i.e. - when on holiday. No pets in the house. Thanks,

Hi, Please can you recommend a smoke alarm suitable for connection to a texecom premier elite that is good for a garage/workshop area? I'm guessing (given use of angle grinders, woodworking equipment, etc) an optical alarm is not a good idea. The garage is also poorly sealed (large gaps around the door) so does get very cold in the winter. I was wondering about the Texecom Exodus RR/4W. It seems to be recommended for places where temperature won't exceed 38C, which sounds likely for my garage. Would it be a good choice? Thanks Joseph

Hi, So it's 1:49am, my husband is at work and I can't get hold of him. my 9800 alarm is saying battery fault and keeps going off every few minutes. My daughter is stood by the pin pad in tears whilst i desperately try to find a solution - is there anyone who can help? I feel sick and I'm shaking! I don't know if it's going off outside. The company who installed it have gone out of business and I don't know who to ring and there's no user manual anywhere, I can't find much online either. I'm in north Kent, any help would be so gratefully received. Thank you
