Hi, Can you advise on a simple and robust wired alarm for a cold and damp Scout hut. I will be installing it myself but I don't expect major problems with that side of things... We need: 5 PIRS 1 key pad 3 door detectors 2 external bells (preferably) 1 dummy box 1 internal sounder and about 200m of cable No need for distinct key codes or anything like that. Thanks

  2. ooking to buy a Secware Basic Full Kit Accenta, 2x PIR, 2x Contact, 1xSAB Need extra RKP and door contacts. Could you please advise which parts are the same as the kit

  3. I can't find any Wired Siren for my Powermax Complete alarm. Do you have one, or could you recommend one?

Hi do you have a comms lead for the 9850 scantronic control panel 8 pin ? we have the 9800 12 pin version as shown on your site Many thanks

  6. The sounder on the control panel works correctly but the remote keypad emits no sound at all when being used to set the system. Is it a setting problem, a wiring problem or a defective remote keypad?

I have an 11 year old scantronic 9930 fitted professionally and serviced. I am about to purchase a replacement keypad. However with regular power cuts here my alarm now triggers outside bell very quickly and will not go off for 15 minutes, i cannot reset. Also the display shows better missing even though it's not and i have checked all connections which are fine, also the battery is reading 12volts on tester. The only thing i noticed was split at bottom but, NO leaks ?? so why is it showing message and a 12volt reading on tester. Can you advice please as i don't want to waste money on keypad and battery if it is something else.

  14. Good morning, I've bought a GalaxyFlex and a RF Portal from Honeywell which work like a charm I would like to add some Wireless shock/vibration sensor with Door Contact in my house. I've bought the "Honeywell Le Sucre Wireless Shock Sensor with Contact White" ( Model: SHKC8M ), but it's quite big. I would prefer something smaller, more discreet , like the Honeywell Wireless Door/window compact magnetic contact Brown ( Model: DO800M2 ), but with the shock sensor feature Could you advise me another product (shock + contact) which would be compatible with the GalaxyFlex ? Thanks in advance for your help Cedric

  16. Re products: ESP Quest 14m PIR & Honeywell Intellisense IS215T 12m PIR. Can you please confirm price of these items and which produce would be more suitable for residential use. Is the ESP as good a quality as the Honeywell PIR. Could you also recommend a suitable control box (alarm) and entry keypad that would be compatible with these PIRs. Thank you.

Hi, I have an ADE ID Ultimate alarm panel and connected devices, plumbed into my property. The panel has been doing some weird things of late, I have replaced the battery and checked all the fuses but still it's giving me grief. Do you have any suitable alternatives that work off the same kind of 4 wire technology to save having to re-wire the house. I have both of the 30 channels enabled but I don't have 60 items connected, I tried to split off the fire detectors from the rest of the alarm devices. Cheers,

  19. Need a replacement wired room sensor please. Old system runs from Scantronic 9600 keypad. Not sure what would be a sensor match for either of those in attached images. Image 5186 is of original that came with system and image 5187 is a Rokonet fitted later. Thanks.

Hi I'm looking for a wireless intruder alarm for a one floor house. It has to include - 6 wireless PIR detectors - 1 wireless external sounder - GSM/GPRS notification capability. Right now i'm investigating the rokonet wisdom and the visonic powermax. Questions 1- Which one do you think would be the most suitable system? You can refer other systems 2- I didn't find any GSM/GPRS adaptor for the rokonet wisdom in your site. The Wisdom panel refers the capability, is it already included? If not which module should be used? Thanks Nuno

Hello, I am looking to purchase the Honeywell Galaxy 2-20 Wireless Starter Kit together with additional items (internal and external sounder, additional sensors, etc.). I am good with general electrical / electronics work but never installed alarms before. I can't find installation guide on the internet to see how easy will it be to install and configure the system. If you have installed this or similar system, could you please share your experience? Thanks

  24. hi, i am after a wired heat detector that is compatible with the hkc 1070. Im looking at the texecom products? many thanks

When fitting a Scantronic 9651 panel recently I noticed it had a rechargeable battery soldered onto the PCB. I guess this is to maintain settings it case of total power failure/disconnection. Does this have a design life of 5 years like most other re-chargeables?? If so it doesn't look like it was designed to be easily replaced. And how would you know it needed replacing anyway - until it's too late? Phil.
