Intruder Alarms

Does the Texecom SPEECH DIALLER Text Alerts system send texts directly i.e. when the intruder has already cut all the BT lines & broadband etc, will it still work - does it have a SIM card?

We're about to install an Accenta Mini Gen4 with conventional intruder detectors, remote keypads and an external bell sounder. We will also have a number of Menvier M12 smoke detectors on Zones 7 & 8 for 24-hour fire detection. If Zones 7 & 8 trigger, we're expecting the Accenta to display an appropriate alarm on the RKPs and do 2-sec on / 2-sec off signalling on the external bell box. If possible, we also wish to fit an all-in-one sounder / strobe unit in a specific room to ensure that the occupants understand that the "bells that they can hear ringing in the distance" are indicating a fire alarm (and that they should evacuate). My current alarm Guardall Rascal Super is broken so needs replacing(we are using 4 programmed zones and chime). I'd like to replace the control unit unit and bellbox but use existing wiring, sensors and internal speaker. I'm looking at the MDT Avanti 8 and AG6 bellbox (current bellbox looks tatty and has no strobe). 1. Is the chime quite loud? We would like to hear if someone enters the house from the other side of the building. 2. The Rascall Super system is 12v and I think the Avanti 8 is 13.8v, will our existing sensors work with the new control unit?

Hi, Just trying to put together a quote for a high end residential property, we are upgrading the video intercom, cctv amd intruder alarm...in the past have used powermax for small residential wireless and galaxy for commercial, client likes fancy toys, is there any intruder and cctv that can be integrated or an intruder system that has an app for a smart phone but the system must be wireless. I have purchased these intems against your order number 22312. I am having problems setting up the receiver to recognise the transmitter. I have teh items to hand, connected and ready to program, The transmitter is set/connected as a mode 6.with the door switch supplied. The receiver however doe's not recognise the the transmitter. Currently it hase the yellow supervision light on with the two red zone lights flashing. Can you please advise a solution, or better still, can we arrange a time when someone can talk me through the set-up? Thanks for help and best regards,

I am planning an alarm for my house. It should be hybrid with wired and wirefree sensors. I have been looking at Scantronic. Which of Homelink 55 and I-on40 do you recommend? No price difference as I get it. Are there any other brands that you reccommend?

I need a new alarm panel with voice gsm support for at least 16 hard wired + wireless. I did not know if I should get a gsm voice dialer or a new panel.

re: Honeywell Intellisense IS215T. We would like to replace all motion sensors in our house with the IS215T. There are approximately 20no. Can we simply buy these and connect up to existing wiring? Do we need a new control box?

Hi my home has been fitted with a scantronic 9651 system, it has p.i.rs in all down stairs rooms. The front and rear doors have surface mounted contacts. When I set the system and leave via my front door the alarm continues to beep and will not arm once I close the door. This has happened before and I was advised to replace the door contact which i did, this solved the problem until now! The same thing has happened again I have checked the contact and everything seems to be OK with no loose wires. The contact is grade 2 with a small circuit board inside, it also has a small spring tamper mechanism. Can anyone help? regards Steve

Can i install the com-ip module and com-gsm module together? I have the texecom elite premier 48. (V2.02) I want the com-gsm just to sent sms messages when an alarm occurs. I would like to install the com-ip over wan to use with the ios apps. Is this possible?

I have just purchased a Honeywell IS3016 security alarm sensor which does not appear to work with my existing alarm system showing as a fault on the control panel. It would be very unusual for the sensor to be faulty and assume there is a compatibility issue. the only item I can think of is the EOL setting which I have not encountered before and not aware of selectivity. I previously purchased from you the Honeywell Active8 DT which worked fine first time. My alarm system is an Accenta 8 Can you advise me what the problem may be or EOL settings.

I need to buy one of the Texecom Premier Elite alarm panels (plastic case) and wanted to know if they have the latest Firmware v4.02 on them. My current Premier Elite 24 met with a slight accident after a mains power surge and it's destroyed it, so I want to replace it with an identical model. I have a set of garages with two alarms installed that both join to a single masterblaster in the roof. I want a dialer that rings me or another member of the family if the alarm is triggered or the power is cut on the system. Sorry, I'm not very technical, but can the GSM dialer be connected in the roof space on the same wires as the masterblaster? Obviously the masterblaster will not work if the power goes down and so I wanted an autodialler as a back up. If so how much wiring would be needed and is it straight forward?

I have a Visonic Powermax Wireless Alarm system installed. After changing the batteries on some of the PIR sensors, the system keep calling me at random saying "tamper alarm". Can somebody please advise how to clear all of the error messages so the system stops calling me.

I have bought 2 grade 3 roller shutter contacts from yourself. I am going to be installing them shortly and have removed them from their packaging to check them out. The wires from the contact are colour coded but as it is a galaxy panel I am connecting too I need 1k resistance. On the contact instructions it relates thus to the colour green, but the wires on the contact don't have this colour. What can I do to resolve this ? Use 1k resistors ?
