Intruder Alarms

Hi there, I have a Yale Smartphone alarm system which works fine. I also have some extra CCTV cameras looking out the front and back of my house. I spend a lot of time working away and the house is fairly remote. I really want to be able to trigger a siren if I see someone snooping around the property at night, and I dont want to wait until someone has actually broken in! I use powerswitches that can be activated through my smartphone to turn on anything plugged in - lights etc (Yale Easy Fit Power Switch For Easy Fit). we are looking to fit a wireless alram to a five bed house where we will have 10+ zones, would like a keypad by the main door, so need one where the main control panel can be more like an end station. would also like to be able to control via mobile phone when away. which good quality system would you recomend

After a mains power failure all the alpha numeric characters have disappeared from the LCD display with only the top line of the display now showing black rectangles. Is there a system component failure or can the display be recovered?

Can i install the com-ip module and com-gsm module together? I have the texecom elite premier 48. (V2.02) I want the com-gsm just to sent sms messages when an alarm occurs. I would like to install the com-ip over wan to use with the ios apps. Is this possible?

Hi... can you help me locate the correct type of wireless door contact switch for my home alarm system please? The system has a cooper security scantronic 9930 control. I have a wireless contact on top of a garage door which has failed.. I have changed the battery to no effect. I could send you pictures if it helps locate the correct type. I'm interested to buy from you a complete set of alarm system for my house. i want it to consist from a good expendable control panel so i chose the scantronics ion40. Hi, Just to be sure, how do I wire the SECWARE BCINTRA/W/B to the Texecom Premier 88 panel? Like Texecom - Secware 12V + = 12V + 12V - = 12V - Bell - = ? Tamp = ? Strb - = ? Do I need other connections e.a. strobe to 12V+? And do I need to set some settings in wintex to work? Thanks in advance.

I'm installing a Texecom Premier Elite system in my house. Looking at the Odyssey X sounders they all have the window for an alarm installer to put their logo. Would this look odd without one? After a some searching I found the Odyssey 5E. This looks better (no insert window!) but perhaps an older model? Are there other boxes that might be better for my DIY use case?

hi, I am looking at the "Takex 20m Ext/40m Int 4 Channel Twin beams inc Pole Clamps" for use on scaffolding and was looking for some advice on suitable keypads and sounders to go along with it looking to buy a whole alarm set pretty ASAP to try with the intention of buying more and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am replacing old ones of these. On the existing Optex EX-35R units is a sticker 869Mhz When I get these new ones, howh do I 'pair' it to the existing old Tunstall control unit, or how do I set the frequency to 869Mhz? Cheers in advance.

Can someone please help Im trying to connect the AG6 external sounder to the ADE Gen 4 but on the connections manual that come with the sounder there is no ade gen4. I have connected it how I think it should go but i keep getting a tamper fault up ?? Thanks

Can anyone tell me how to stop the LED flashing (it is bothering me in the night) on a viper GLX? i have had the top off and i can see dip switches, also it only has a 4 wire connection? a 12v supply and the alarm wires.

Can you advise which security panel would be suitable to replace one which has failed? (only lasted 15 years, but sadly now defunct!) This unit has 6 zones (hard-wired) of which I use 4. Anything that offers similar, at least 4 hard-wired + radio to cover areas not currently covered would do. Can you suggest something? I can install it.
