I read that Axis 1031w surveillance camera was supported by the powermax alarm. How many cameras are supported? If I connect a camera to the powermaster alarm, can I also connect it to my synology NAS?

Hi I have just installed a new Accenta G4 Compact with LCD keypad. I am quite confident that all is wired correctly. I note the Engineer's manual tells you to connect all the zones, tamper, pa circuits and then speakers. First question - the manual tells you to make sure that the factory fitted links are connected to the PA, TAMP and T-A. Surely this would mean that these functions would not work if these links were left in as they would be permanently shorted? I have checked all these circuits and they are closed (short) and therefore I assume I may disregard this. Second question - On page 14 the manual instructs you to connect the mains and it says t…

Hi, first post Can anybody tell me the recommended way of wiring a Texecom Premier48 and PSU200XP combination to the mains supply? Would each panel require its own fused spur? I will not be undertaking this work myself, but would like to have some knowledge of what is required before approaching an electrician. Thanks in advance.

I would like to purchase a system with 8 zones (7 for PIR and 1 for fire) and two remote control panels. An external bell sounder is not required but an internal one and alerts via the internet/e-mail would be required. Please could you recommend a system that would cover these requirements.

Purchased Accenta Mini G4 from you and have only just got round to installing it. On first power-up, I noticed that the walk test had a 1 under the P indicating a problem in the PA circuit. When I logged out of Engineer Mode I am also receiving a "PA Fault Lockout". I removed the PA button I had fitted suspecting a wiring problem and returned the factory fitted link on the PA terminals. I am still seeing the above fault and am left with an alarm in an unusable state. Any ideas of what might be causing the problem?

I'm trying to install the Ion-40 wired keypad with my existing i-on 40 main panel. At the first mains switch on (with back-up battery and wired keypad connected) the manual says you should get option A and B on the keypad display. I get this on my display but the entire left side of the keypad buttons -including the A, B, C & D buttons (but excluding the big square button) do not do anything - ie when I press them, nothing happens. Pressing the others makes a beep and the keypad back lighting comes on for a few seconds. The only other useful thing I can add is that the 'heart-beat' LED on the main panel is flashing and when I override the main alarm panel tamper swi…

Hi, I was looking to purchase 8x Menvier SD3 Speech Dialler. I can see this is now obsolete and the replacement is Eaton Universal 4G speech dialler. Our design is based around a PSTN version and we utilise our own PABX system so the BT PSTN switchoff will not be a problem for us. Do you have an alternative that supports a telephone line connection? Regards, Rubel

Do you have any experience with the micorwave adjustment on a Bosch Blue Line D1-P detector? Part of the installation of some I have purchased form you indicates to adjust the microwave sensivity, is this a normal part of a standard installation for say a 10m x 10m room or do you always hae to fine tune the detector? Is there any further guidance notes for this task?

We have a Eurosec LCD panel intruder alarm in our house which we dont use, but there are 2 panic alarms in the house (little white box with red button on top and a little keyhole on the front), which are set to green so we assume are active (we havent tested as we have no keys to turn off?!?!). Does anyone know if you can buy replacment keys as my daughter is getting big enough that she is bound to press it soon and we are worried we wont be able to turn it off !! We would like to de-activate these alarms.

From the manual of MC-302E PG2: "A 47k? E.O.L. resistor must be wired at the far end of the zone loop" Is this value (47000?)of the resistor correct? or it means 4k7 (4700?) resistor?

I am looking to replace an existing system (Elkron) with a new one and would appreciate any recommandation from an expert. I would like to combine wired detection (given available existing cable connection) and wireless detection (for new detection points and keyboards). I need to cable about 24 points (detectors, keyboards, smoke detectors, sirenes) and about 24 wireless points (windows/doors detectors, smoke detectors, IR detectors and keyboards) and would like detetors with some intelligence against false alarms (digital signal analysis?). I am currently looking at Risco as well as Texecom. I have heard Risco may be more difficult to program (only for registered i…

I was thinking about additional shock or contact protection for UPVC french doors in the kitchen at the back of the house. I'll have a PIR covering the kitchen area already, it's only a small one, but was thinking about something like the Viper GLX contacted sensor. I know that obviously shock sensors work better/best on a wooden framed doors/windows and obviously UPVC frames are affected by heat expansion etc. What are you thoughts on it, would you recommend it? Or just stick with contacts instead. Thanks in advance.

Sorry all you good people out there, to ask these questions , but I do not know whether it is I who is Dim or could the Electronics actually be at fault ?. When I try to register the keyfobs under other devices and I go to arming station I am asked to activate the tamper , A Is this the correct section to be in . B As there is no tamper do I just press any button or what. Also with regard to the Tag I am supposed to offer this up to the top left of the panel . I am in the arming station section but nothing is reacting. Again am I in the correct section and is there any way of verifying the Tag is working. I have proved that the Fobs are working by …

Hi, Can I please ask for some help on choosing a new alarm system for my 4 bed semi house with a garage on the side. The garage has a flat roof and there is a new flat roof extension being built at the back which will give access to 2 bedrooms. I have a living room at the front and a study on one side. The open plan kitchen/diner will have large folding patio doors at the back. The house is being completely gutted so hard wiring is not a problem and I have builders and electrician in at the moment re-wiring the place. I have been told about the Scantronic 9651 and 9751 systems and i would like a bell on the outside with LED lights and a number pad that can be cont…

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, it was recommended by a member on another forum. I was wondering if anyone has a .pdf copy of a veritas r8 installation manual for the pre-1999 models please? We have 2 veritas alarm systems on our house, one was installed in 1995 when the house was built, the 2nd was installed in 2007. I have a manual for the newer system but the older system I believe has different programming codes etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Andy

I am looking for a simple intruder alarm system for a large house. Not really interested in remote access and monitoring or systems requiring computers to load up and configure. Need 4 x RKP and 19 x PIRs. No PAs or door contacts, though will want to use PA functions on all the RKPs. I really like the simplicity of setting up and using the Accenta control panel, but am I right in thinking that 8 zones are the maximum available for PIRs? I could easily group together 2 or 3 PIRs on some of the zones but that can make fault finding more tedious. Would appreciate you confirming number of zones available to PIRs on Accenta Gen4, also any suggestions for another product.
