Intruder Alarms

About to connect my visonic powermax complete to the telephone. According to the picture in the manual its just to plug in. But theres just two small holes. The telecable dont have pins. What to do? I havnt seen such a cable before is it typical UK?

I moved into my current property and had an extension done to the building. As a result I haved added detectors (from SecurityWarehouse) to the alarm panel (Honeywell G2-12). However, when the alarm engineer attempted to access the menu, the code I was given was not working. Hence the engineer is locked out of the menu What is the best way to get into engineer menu and reprogramme the panel? any help would be appreciated?

I have two garage doors, roller shutter style on my house in need of connection to the Visonic powermax complete system installed. Is it possible to use the "MCT-100" connected to a couple of "Knight Plastics F10C Roller Shutter" or do you have some other recommended solution for garage door protection?

Hello I need a little bit of help, I did purchase all the kit from you, my query is, what terminals do I use on my control panel to wire my sounder, Control Panel is a 9651 and the Sounder is a Texecom Odyssey 2. the examples in the installion manual don't refer to this sounder and the print is very small. I bought one Optima Compact Gen4 control panel in the past, and now I want to buy one more. Is there a way to arm/disarm the unit wirelessly? Is this what key fobs are for? If so, which is compatible?

In november i bought a texecom bell box off you and its just stopped working. the rest of the alarm is functioning fine. when enter the eng code, the 05,54321 to test the sounders everything except the bell box works. it was working fine, so could i return it please unless you can suggest something to try? all the wires inside are firmly connected.

I have just replaced a Flash Guard XL Plus with a Pyronix Belle Sounder fitted to a Pyronix Octagon panel. Flash-guard Belle 1 Tampout BT 4 Supply - B- 5 Supply+ B+ 6 Trigger BA 8 Strobe- STB Added link between TF and B- The speakers sound, the strobe works. the LED's flash and the anti tamper operates when the alarm is unset. If I put the panel in engineer mode and operate the anti tamper switch the panel does not register a tamper condition which is correct but the Belle sounder still operates which means the front panel can not be removed for testing without setting of the Belle internal alarm. …

I recently purchased a Scantronic 9651 alarm control unit from Security Warehouse; I installed the unit but when I initialised it, it came up with \'Zone Flt\' on all 8 zones; this error is not included in the insstallation manual. I need to speak with someone to establish if the unit is faulty.

I'm interested in a Visonic Powermaster 10 Kit with additional peripherals. However, there are a few questions I haven't found information about. - The system has partition support but still only can handle one partition according to the brochure. How come? - Is the central proximity tag compatible out of the box or do you need a remote keypad? - Is your kit supplied with Euro mains plug? - If not connected to a monitoring centre is the alarm info sent only by SMS to numbers by choice or is there also voice dialing involved?

I have a twenty years old DA Systems Abacus 6P control panel. Each of the six zones is split with two PIR's on each zone. The existing PIR's are believed to be by Comet (but could be Stella or Apollo)and each has an integrated zone spliter so enabling three wire connection(12v+ 0v and tamper). Can you supply a replacement for the PIR's.

Recently installation of a galaxy flex and looking to put Ethernet module A083-00-01 into it On looking at the other flex systems they are all in plastic boxes with the RF Portal as a seperate card inside this flex is in a metal box. Honeywell Flex 20 Small Metal Box- C005-S-E1 & as seperate RF Portal -C079-2 Does anyone know if the Ethernet module can be used within this flex? Thanks

my neighbour has an old ati 6000 alarm system, he has the box under the stairs with a piezo buzzer next to power then 2 wires one to bell and one to keypad at door with 3 wireless PIR's. i was thinking of changing it over to ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 with LCD Keypad and a new bell box, but can this unit support wireless pir's with a receiver addon? could you detail kit required and price. CP, Keypad, Bellbox, 3 x wireless PIR's, wireless receiver?

I would like to purchase a Visonic Powerlink3 for my Powermaster10 system. Can you confirm I can use it to directly access my alarm panel remotely, rather than needing to use a Power Manage system please? I am hoping I will be able to access my panel by using the IP Address of the system.

I have installed this panel as a direct replacement to an older veritas excel panel as such 5 x pir, 2 x external sounders & 2 x smoke sensors are configured as previous eol set up ie 2 resistors in the sensors. I had a functional premier elite rkp to hand and have installed this with the new system. I cannot get the system to set up properly, it displays system alerts for the panel lid tamper etc even though the panel lid id closed securely as well as tamper faults for 2 of the 5 pirs, i cannot see any wiring faults and am now thinking this may be a panel fault, can you give me a little guidance please. Sorry all you good people out there, to ask these questions , but I do not know whether it is I who is Dim or could the Electronics actually be at fault ?. When I try to register the keyfobs under other devices and I go to arming station I am asked to activate the tamper , A Is this the correct section to be in . B As there is no tamper do I just press any button or what. Also with regard to the Tag I am supposed to offer this up to the top left of the panel . I am in the arming station section but nothing is reacting. Again am I in the correct section and is there any way of verifying the Tag is working. I have proved that the Fobs are working by …
