Can anyone recommend a simple wired alarm system with support for maybe 2 door contacts, and 4-6 PIR's. I'd like one with GSM support to SMS me when an alarm event is triggered. Any other fancy features like internet monitoring would be nice, but not necessary. This will be for domestic use - and only used very occasionally i.e. - when on holiday. No pets in the house. Thanks,

I'm tring to programme the bell time on this panel in engineering mode. When I press "6", LED's 1,2 and 3 should show but I'm getting 1,3,5 and 7 and then it won't go any further. Does anyone know what this means and why it is happening?

I built my house 17 years ago with a wired alarm system. The six core wiring is inside the wall panels etc. Over the years I have replaced a couple of PIRs etc but now some of the other components are starting to fail (e.g. some parts of the LED displays do not show etc). I was looking to use the existing wiring and replace the control panel, two keypads and the external siren with the following: ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 with LED Keypad Secware 12v 0.8A/h Value Alarm Battery (assuming the Mini Gen4 does not include a battery) ADE Honeywell LCD Keypad for Optima / Accenta Control Panels Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren Blue. I purchased an alarm system last year, and until today has worked without fault, however, when my Wife tried to set our alarm in the usual way using the ADE Simple Set she was unable to do so. When I came home I also tried without success. The unit shows both Power & Day lights but when either a 'learnt' or an 'unlearnt' fob is offered to the unit there is no response regardless of the length of time the fob is held against the unit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The unit is less than 12 months old

I have bourght quite a few of these & on wiring & checking them find none sound when tested. All you get is a constant lit LED. Is there a possiblity that all are faulty or has someone designed the ultimate pointless product? If one went into alarm I'd expect all linked alarms to sound. Is this not the case with all linked 12v linked detectors?

Only zones 1,4,5 used .zone 1 is the exit/entry zone .All PIR detectors work on walk test and zone 1 works in chime mode. The alarm sets OK system bleeping until set . when the entry zone ( 1 ) operates it goes straight to alarm , after reset code entered the panel has zone 1 flashing only.

Hi, i had a Powermaster-10 kit installed about a year ago. Recently the ability arm via a SMS message (arm xxxx) has stopped working. Using SMS to ask the alarms status (status xxxx) works and when use the communications test option via the control pannel i get the Auto test SMS message sent to my phone. I've tried differnet pass codes for differnet users etc. Plenty of credit on the sim card. So all seems to be working except the ability to arm? Any thoughts or suggestions on what else to try/check. Thanks Ewan
