I am considering buying some honeywell equipment to upgrade my alarm to wireless. Firstly I just wanted to check that all the components are fully compatible with the Galaxy G2 panel (I have the G2-20, or actually the G2-12 as it is not expanded), and that it will support this many sensors. Do you know this for sure, or should I contact Honeywell directly Honeywell Wireless Door/window compact magnetic contact Honeywell Wireless Dualtec 15m x 18m Honeywell Wireless Smoke sensor with built-in sounder DF8M Honeywell Carbon Monoxide Wireless Detector Honeywell Galaxy 2 Series Wireless Receiver (RF Portal) Microtech Galaxy MK8 Keyprox LCD Keypad Honeywel…

Hi Folks, Looking to replace a failing alarm system we currently have in place at a county scout hut. It consists of three PIR's, auto dialar and the central panel/main box. The alarm is activated by locking he door and de-activated my unlocking the door! (Clever stuff ) For ease of use we'd like to keep this system. For numerous reasons we wont be using a control panel to type in the code! Any suggestions? Just looking for a replacement system.. Something that we can use the existing lock with! (The door lock is simply wired straight to the alarm) Regards, Scott

We're about to install an Accenta Mini Gen4 with conventional intruder detectors, remote keypads and an external bell sounder. We will also have a number of Menvier M12 smoke detectors on Zones 7 & 8 for 24-hour fire detection. If Zones 7 & 8 trigger, we're expecting the Accenta to display an appropriate alarm on the RKPs and do 2-sec on / 2-sec off signalling on the external bell box. If possible, we also wish to fit an all-in-one sounder / strobe unit in a specific room to ensure that the occupants understand that the "bells that they can hear ringing in the distance" are indicating a fire alarm (and that they should evacuate). We're uncertain if somethi…

These PIRs require a power supply of min. 9V which I intend to draw from the Powermaster Central 12V auxiliary output, as it is backed up by a battery. The PIRs consume 19mA max, so 38 mA in total, which exceeds the Powermaster specs of 36 mA max for this auxiliary output. Can you suggest an alternative power output please, or do you think it's no problem to connect the PIRs as planned to the Central.

I installed an I-on40 and two keypads, KP-01. I had a problem earlier in the year whereby the keypads beep indicating 'Duplicate Entry.' I tried replacing the keypads with a spare, but this did not resolve the issue. I had thought that it might be caused by line termination, so I changed that. It worked for several months, with one terminated and the other unterminated, but the 'Duplicate Entry'; has returned. KP1 is located about 1 meter away from the I-on40; KP2 is located about 10 meters away. KP1 is set to address 4; KP2 to address 2. The error occurs whether I try setting or unsetting the I-on40 either manually, by typing in the code, or by using a fob.

If so, then the problem must be on My side. fine if you someone can look at the small details of the config and help with finding what I've done wrong. I have used the video below to double check my setup to connect SPC I can not run the registration of panel spcconnect, after I enter registeration ID and username password I get the message that "Can…

I have a Eurosec CP8L LCD. This has been very reliable. However I have had a new front door fitted which meant using a new surface mounted reed sensor for my entry/Exit contact wired in series with my back door sensor. I want to check my zone settings. I want to reset my entry time to 30secs, unfortunately I am unable to programme the zones, the display just keeps going back to "do you want to Program Chime" and will not allow me to proceed further to Program Zones. Have you any idea how I can get to the program zones. I have done a factory reset, ie:- disconnected the power, etc but to no avail. Have I pressed something I shouldn't have? I have had …

Hi, Please can you recommend a smoke alarm suitable for connection to a texecom premier elite that is good for a garage/workshop area? I'm guessing (given use of angle grinders, woodworking equipment, etc) an optical alarm is not a good idea. The garage is also poorly sealed (large gaps around the door) so does get very cold in the winter. I was wondering about the Texecom Exodus RR/4W. It seems to be recommended for places where temperature won't exceed 38C, which sounds likely for my garage. Would it be a good choice? Thanks Joseph
