Enforcer wireless alarm about a year ago which i purchase for you. this has been work fine. until just recently it came up with a battery fault. I have changed all the batteries in the sensors, and done a battery check and signal strength test, and they have shown as ok. the alarm has been working for a week since this, and now has displayed an error again of, unable to set 01 wireless low battery. I have done the battery and signal test again, and has come back as ok.

We're looking at a comms installation at an isolated site, which will also require an intruder alarm. There will be no landline phone but we anticipate installaing a 4G router which will provide both an Internet connection (WiFi and hardwired) and a phone line. The phone line will be derived from the cellular connection and we envisage using a UPS to keep the equipment going in the event of a power outage. The preference is for something that can alert the owner to an intrusion by dialling a series of phone numbers or by using SMS rather than by using a conventional. communcator and monitoring service. Remote Web maintenance is a requirement. Preference is for a system th…

I am wanting to place an order but one of the items I want to purchase is a suitable motion detector for my timber workshop. Please can you advise me on what type of detector is best suited (most stable) to this environment where there will be temperature changes, possible insects and there is 3 windows. It is a good quality workshop like a log cabin, I have had a look at your sensors but I am unsure when it offers pir, microwave, dual tech etc ? Thanks

Hello I have an Ademco Vista, I need to replace it. We have a 4 bed house, probably about 7 PIR's. What kind of system can I put in to replace it? I'm not sure what type the bell box is, maybe you can deduce that from the panel name. Currently connected to the Vista is receiver and speaker which is used with a IR/Radio keyfob to arm/disarm. Ideally we'd like to replace that with a similar system, and additionally put in a dialler. Regarding diallers, is there a DECT version, our phone line is not next to the panel? Cheers Andrew

I have installed this panel as a direct replacement to an older veritas excel panel as such 5 x pir, 2 x external sounders & 2 x smoke sensors are configured as previous eol set up ie 2 resistors in the sensors. I had a functional premier elite rkp to hand and have installed this with the new system. I cannot get the system to set up properly, it displays system alerts for the panel lid tamper etc even though the panel lid id closed securely as well as tamper faults for 2 of the 5 pirs, i cannot see any wiring faults and am now thinking this may be a panel fault, can you give me a little guidance please. Wondering whether to buy a coms cable and try to programme from…

I had some difficulty with the, Honeywell Reson8 Bell Box during install at the weekend, i could not get SCB functionality to work, i initially thought the wiring may be damaged so i took the box to the control panel with a short cable and tried again, to no avail, the circuit on the sounder does not seem to react when the spring is depressed, and the case is shut. and the Green Indicator does not come on at any point. I have managed to use the sounder as sounder and strobe only, but wondering if there is anything else i can do to resolve, as the customer would like the lights on the sounder to flash and show the box is live.

  17. Hi, I am trying to source an alarm that allows me to extract information about the state of window/ door and occupancy sensors. And I would also like set the alarm remotely if possible. I would like it to operate via one of the following Protocols: Modbus Mbus Bacnet I know that Honeywell offers an IP gateway, however the system doesn't output this information as standard. So this isn't suitable. However, another alarm system that uses a more open IP interface could work, although one of the above protcols would be better as I'm integrating it with a Priva BMS system. If anyone could offer any suggestions, that would be much appreciated. Fraser

  18. These PIRs require a power supply of min. 9V which I intend to draw from the Powermaster Central 12V auxiliary output, as it is backed up by a battery. The PIRs consume 19mA max, so 38 mA in total, which exceeds the Powermaster specs of 36 mA max for this auxiliary output. Can you suggest an alternative power output please, or do you think it's no problem to connect the PIRs as planned to the Central.

  19. I am looking at your product MCR-308 + RL8 on-line and just wanted to confirm the the item includes the relay module (RL8). I want to use the item to add wireless zones to an existing Scantronic 9651 system, could you confirm that this is suitable?

  20. Hi, Please can you recommend a smoke alarm suitable for connection to a texecom premier elite that is good for a garage/workshop area? I'm guessing (given use of angle grinders, woodworking equipment, etc) an optical alarm is not a good idea. The garage is also poorly sealed (large gaps around the door) so does get very cold in the winter. I was wondering about the Texecom Exodus RR/4W. It seems to be recommended for places where temperature won't exceed 38C, which sounds likely for my garage. Would it be a good choice? Thanks Joseph

Dear Sir, I have just had a new kitchen fitted and wanted to move the old large alarm to the porch...I contacted the engineer who fritted the old alarm and with great difficulty, managed to get him back to help. He advised that the cheapest way would to hide the old alarm and run a small pad type of alarm to be on show...still in the kitchen. Tonight I had to run through the house in order to get out in time as the alarm started to go off. The engineer has not left me any instructions...simply saying it is like my old one.....It is not! Getting hold of this chap has been so difficult.....Could you send me a Manual.....On the alarm it s…

Installed an enforcer panel roughly 3 months ago and it has been working fine, setting and unsetting no false alarms etc, a few weeks ago it started flagging Mains failure, a code was entered to silence it and mains was restored. the following day it started flagging up LOW voltage on the screen, a code was entered to silence it but the orange triangle remained, the panel then died. I opened the panel and checked voltage going in and it was 240v, the battery must have ran the panel for about 14 hours but i dont see why it didnt recharge the battery because the mains was and still is entering the panel. Any suggestions or repairs i could make as its now providing no securi…

I have Scantronic 762 dual channel receiver that currently works with two 738r shock sensors. I wish to swap out one of these sensors for a PIR unit but a) do not know if one channel would be enough for a PIR , and which PIR to buy. (I am told that that I need a Scantronic 700r series item.) Can you please advise.
