Intruder Alarms

Bought a Galaxy GD-48 with touchcenter all is All is ok except the front LED’s do not operate. System is ready but no green led , when you set the system, the system sets but the red LED is not on. System reports no faults or trouble and touchcenter LED test works fine all LED’s operate.

I would like to upgrade our Galaxy 512 with Ethernet module in order to control the system remotely and to when need be, handle programming and updates through Internet interface, rather than using one of the MAP's in the system. My understanding is that this could be done by complementing our existing system with an additional Honeywell Galaxy Ethernet Module (Model: E080-2) from you, and also I guess, I need to upgrade the SW that currently running as that is an old version, - Ver. 1.27. Hi, I've been looking into the Galaxy dimension system for my home for a few reasons, I need to protect the house and two out buildings and I like the IP/GPRS options. Now an oversight on my behalf is the use of RS485 between modules and remote panels, I'm used to systems like the the Honeywell G4. When doing up the house I've used 6 core standard cable, so my problem will be the cable to the remote panel by the front door. The length of this cable is under 10 metres, will I get away with this? As for the 2nd panel upstairs and a powered RIO out in the garage I can easily run cat5 cable. I don't normally ask questions like this but this cable has been run and plastere…

I have been recalculating and it seems that the Galaxy G2 wireless starter is is a very good deal. The kit is about the price of the sensors and the keyprox. which means I would get the panel + RF portal for free. Am I missing something here? If I want a Dimension 48 wireles started kit it seems I would better buy the wireless G2 kit + a separate GD 48 panel. Also if you cam me me a better deal for a GD 48 + MK7keyprox + 3wireless PIR + 6 wireless door contacts + 4 prox's + 2way switch I would like to hear that too. PS. Can I dial/log in remotely (PSTN/Ethernet) with the dimension?

when setting the alarm i get the following error message + Line Failcom 1 what does this mean how do i get around this error message i am not connecting it to any phone line Also why does the Diagnostic LED flash- does this mean anything

Hi. Do you know if there is a known bug in Galaxy G2 20 alarm such that after an AC Fail it can only be reset by Engineer. Mine offers Manager Rest Required but this does not work and I have to use the Engineer login. Checked the forum but could not find any relevant info. Thanks in advance.

I am looking too install a wired alarm system into a large powered garage and would like a recommendation on which of your products would be most suitable. Ideally I would like the control unit (with battery backup) separate to a keypad (or fob reader) so that it can be installed out of harms way. If possible, I would also like an external siren with strobe. For the sensors I think 2 PIRs would suffice however, these need to avoid false alarms so perhaps dual sensing ones would be better for me. The PIRs need to be able to cope with more extreme temperatures than inside a house, a hot motor vehicle being parked in front of them and probably the odd spider or two. Please…

In my house I got a security system called Gardtec and i think it is Risco / Gardtec Contour LED RKP (580 series) because mine does look like this one as it is show on this website. i would like to use this security system however i cant reset the program or set it. I been looking on the internet i belive i need the engineer code or master code to reset the program but i dont have this codes. Could you please help me where or how can i get this codes to reset it or how much is it cost for engineer to come to do it for me !? Hi, We have one a 'Gardtec 800' system installed in a premises in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland. We need to order a new Keypad for the system, as the display is not functioning correctly. It is a 6 wired keypad. Could you recommend a keypad, or would it be best to completely replace the control box and keypad panel? If we could get your advise on the above it would be much appreciated.

Just instaled the panel, remote key pad and sounder and pirs. Firstly the instructions didn't match the sounder terminals with the panel but I think I may have sorted it know but the proble I have is as soon as I connect the sounder battery jumper the sounder goes off this happens with the panel wired and powered on fully disconnected from the panel. I have the system up and running if I put itI into alarm I get nothing from the main sounder sound or strobe but the sounder in the remote key pad sounds Please can you help?

I have just installed an Accenta Mini Gen 4. I am using zone 2 on the panel as as inhibited (default setting) when I set the panel it show zone 2 as an error as it detects the operator in the exit zone. The alarm sets ok after you exit the property as the error clears. Upon re-entry zone 2 is inhibited ok as the alarm is not activated. I would have thought that the zone 2 should also be inhibited in the exit mode and not show an error on the panel. Is this correct.

I have installed the gen4 alarm and then have just bought a extra keypad to add on to the system. I had a led keypad which I have know used up stairs,and the new keypad is a LCD which is down stairs. do you have to stick to just led keypads or can you mix led with LCD. when I wired it in it blew the fuse on the board and the battery fuse blew,I replaced the fusees and the transformer got rely warm,also came up with tamper fault lockout on keypad.I then disconnected the led keypad,and left the new LCD keypad connected to the system.the system now has no power to it,but still works on the battery power.have checked the wiring several times through the process but cant ex…

hi. this dialler has been on site for a few months. originally we had a pay as you go sim card in and all worked ok. for ease for the customer we have replaced this with a contract sim card. i have checked the sim in a phone and all working fine however the dialleer will not see the sim card. i have spoken to jgd. who have advised mE. still the unit will not see the new sim
