The latest Dimension Installation Manual (just sent to me by Honeywell) does not mention this portal, but in relation to the RF Rio advises the installer to refer to the instructions that come with the modules. There are no instructions provided with the Portal on registering the devices. The Keypad asks for the serial numbers of the devices, but none of the devices actually identifies any of its numbers as serial numbers. The unique numbers on the D0800M wireless door magnets are too long to be accepted by the keypad. The only numeric-only unique numbers on the DTP18M devices (on a sticky label on the side of the batteries) appear to be accepted but their signals are nonetheless not decoded by the RF Portal (set to Alpha). The Honeywell web-site is about out of date, and contains no usable information on the RF Portal. How do I register the devices with the portal, and what other settings are required? Many thanks

Item Scantronic 9651UK with 9941 keypad. I installed this control unit to replace another 9651 unit which had developed a fault. After installation I tried to exit the 'Installer Mode' and the unit reported 'Zone Flt' on zones Z01 through Z08 and the Service LED is permanently illuminated. I have checked power to the Ziper intruder detectors and circuit continuity for the FSLs and they seem to be OK. I did notice that the 9651 unit had a manufacturer's date of Jan 05, so it seems to have been in storage for some considerable time but that aside I would appreciate some assistance in identifying where the problem lies and if it is a defective unit, getting it swapped out. I have just orderd a ADE Optima gen4 8 zone from you. It will replace a c&k Active 5. I have the Engineers code for engineering mode. The problem is I can not stop the bell box from sounding when I disconect the bell wiring or when I try to open the bell box. The bell box was fitted and suppled by Abacus and is about 3 years old. Please can you give me some information regarding the act pro 3000. We have a heath club at the moment all member join online once there join there are give a 6 dig pin number this is all done automatable. At the gym we have a turnstiles with an act 10 key pad link to an act pro 1000 controller with is than attach to a pc. The we now face is the act pro 1000 is no good as we have more than a 1000 members so we can not release no more pins also it has a fault so being repair at the moment. This is what we are looking for so it can be upload automatable to the turnstiles as we have to do it manually Will the act pro 3000 do this if so we will order the act pro 3000 right away as we need one very urgently thank you for your help

A friend of mine is after buying the SECWARE 4-Channel Entry Level 160Gb Digital Video Recorder (Product 101/135). He was hoping to use his laptop with it and it is windows vista with AVG antivirus. When loading the disk on to the PC it says that the system needs to be windows 2000 or XP. So it doesn't seem to support vista. AVG also detects that the disk contains a Trojan on it and shows up a warning every time I insert the disk. Do you have a vista version of the software that I can download from anywhere? Can I also ask you? Is this software for backup only or is there a way to view it through the laptop too? If not, is there a converter that is required to allow a signal to a PC monitor?

Do you supply a vandal resistant keypad that has either a USB or RS232 interface. USB is preferred. I think that the Storm 1000 keypad does have an RS232 output. Can you confirm this,and could you get stock of this item if you do not already ? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I am enquiring about the Videx 3011 handset. I am wondering if this handset is suitable for all Videx door entry systems? I am an NHS Occupational Therapist working in North London and have a patient who needs an extension of her current system as she is unable to reach the handset already in her flat. I purchased a galaxy kit in January, just getting round to installing it. The manual doesn't tell you the engineer code, is there anyway of setting it when you first boot it or is there a master code I need to carry out the install. If so could you send me the code? Thanks,

From product information on the manufacturer's website I was under the impression that the backup battery was supplied with the Scantronic i-on 40. Since this is not the case can you recommend a suitable battery for this system?

Hi, hoping you can help. Following a recent burglary thought I'd try and fix my alarm system! I've currently got a 12 year old Optima system that doesn't really work. Wondering if a new battery would fix it, or should I simply replace the unit with an upgrade? I have a number of wired sensors around the home, not sure if I should replace or keep? External sounder may also need an upgrade, as well as placing an additional box on the front of the house, not sure if I should fit a dummy box,or wire in an additional sounder? Added consideration, I would like to alarm my garage, thought I could use old box? but would need door sensors x 3, as birds get in etc. I'm basically wondering what the best option would be? Would a basic wiring/electrical understanding be enough to fit a system? Do complete kits come with wiring instructions? My existing unit, ADE Optima Compact fits nicely into a 270mm x 200mm 'cubby hole', would a replacement unit be a similar size to fit in? You seem to have loads of options and would really appreciate some advice. To conclude, I think I need either replacement batteries and hope present unit will then work, and buy a new system for the garage wirh door sensors not movement ones. Or, new system for house, using exisiting wires and re-install old system for garage. Sorry to go on, hoping you can help, Many regards,

Before I order the above product, I am just wondering if the handset will work with all Videx systems. I want to provide an extra handset for one my elderly patients who already has a Videx system installed. I need to ensure this handset works with her current system before ordering.

Good Morning, We are working on a clients property which has a Videx video phone entry system: Art: 901K Serial N.H244425 this was connected to a number pad / camera at the entry point and is used for a gate entry system - the wiring was removed by a previous contractor and our client wishes to have it all connected back up and working - we are after a set of electrical schematics and any tips or advice you can give me on connecting it (ususal wire types - operating distance etc) the previous connection did not include a gate open function even though the phone does have this button on it, the gates will require a single n/o volt free contact to operate them (or information to use an interface relay to that effect) regards DA (on behalf of one of our field engineers)
